Yeah noticed that too pretty sure they nerfed the difficulty in some of the missions, the driver, the shootist, even the zero rc missions were easy the cartel construction site was the most noticable tho they used to shred you in .2 secs
24:06 The drunk driving actually does attract police attention; you just have to be in the presence of an officer, which will then trigger a two-star wanted rating.
A fun fact about Back Alley Brawl is that you don't even need to "talk" to the Chef. You can just run him over with you car and the mission continues on no problem. Which is probably why the jury mission is in the game.
That mission where you had to impress the getaway driver is the bottom of my list. The rest of the game was fine back in the day, but that one was my roadblock. I only beat it because the police caused a pileup including myself and my opponent into an alleyway near the end. I just happened to get out of the alley for the AI could.
There's this weird "do the top floor first" tip for Demolition Man going around and I never understood why. If anything, it makes the mission harder. Killing the guys before picking up the bombs is mostly placebo as well. The only trick to this mission is being over the age of 10 and learning the flying controls

In a cosmic sort of way, it's hilarious that this was uploaded as I'm playing through Vice City again myself. #59 and 58 are always the missions I dread to do whenever I play this game #57: This one's always iffy for me. If I can manage to get to the 2 closest cop bribes then the mission is simple from there. It's really down to RNG #56: Having the outfit swap there in the mall makes this one a bit easier, even if its temporary. #55: It's slow, but you can cheese this by driving to the fire station and keep the truck behind the fence. Pedestrians can still interact with the truck if you're close enough while the cops cant open the door to arrest you. #54: This one's another case of RNG having a big case on how this mission pans out #53: Ah yes, the mission that houses a good chunk of Vice City's memed quotes. #52: I'll give the pizza guy this; his scooter skills are immaculate. He can go pretty fast if you alert him and aren't properly prepared for a chase or get bad luck with traffic. #51: There's the line! #50: You wouldn't label it as bad, but that won't stop me from hating this mission. #47: "Dumb Florida moron..." #45: "Call yourself a mang, mang?" #37: This one, just as the description put says, isn't as bad as I remembered it to be. Doesn't mean my feelings towards it have softened though, I honestly think it should have been lower. Also, rip the original pc players of this game, this mission was badly glitched in that version. #29: This mission was honestly like the midway point of a movie or a mid-season finale of a show. Kind of fitting that this is where it places. #25: As someone who has failed this mission before; yeah, you fail if the mob reaches and taxes all your properties. I only lost because I had absurdly bad luck with traffic and kept crashing. I've also noticed some weird quirk/glitch: if the mob takes the center bridge leading to the golf course, there's a possibility that they fall through the bridge or spawn in a manner that causes them to fall into the water which means I either advance to the next group that spawns or pass the mission completely. #19: Fun fact, the tank's message of protocol Delta Indie Echo is meant to spell out 'Die', obvious, but I found it funny. #18: Was not expecting this one to be so high up. #16: Not only is the paint job tacky, but the voice of the guy in it trying to be threatening adds to the cheese. Also, in a way, TBP cannot escape car combat. #14: You forgot the high quality quotes: "Sniper on the roof! They fight like girls!" and "FIGHT LIKE MEN WITH HUGE COJONES!!" #9 (Large): Would've figured this would be in the top 5 but I should know by now to expect the unexpected with these lists. #8: Phnom Penh is actually the capitol of Cambodia, which was used as a Vietnamese military base during the Vietnam War. #7: I can never forget this mission after watching the game freeze when DSP played this game and him going ballistic about it. #3: This is the type of mission where it's hard to truly master, but it's a fun challenge and once you get the grip of it, you'll feel good about it #2: Possibly one of the best combat segments in the game #1: Not sure how I feel about this taking the top spot, not because it's a bad choice, but because it makes me ask myself "do I like this mission more than this one or that other one. A list like this for GTA 3 and possibly the other games in the series feels likely, though this might just be because I'm playing through this game right now for my own channel, but I'm wondering if something like this would be possible for a series like Syphon Filter.
Literally me in gta vice city stories, plus i noticed the mission timers move way too fast and the drive by is very op like they can dump a hole clip in seconds. The latter problems i fixed with slowing down the emulation CPU to 50% but the sensitivity i thought i was just bad.
Wait, what? I just noticed that and it says in the option it's recommended for certain modern controllers. I play it on Steam Deck, do I need to set it to 100% for sensitivity to work properly?
I have ps2 physical copy, original gamepad and so on. Yeah the aiming sucks badly. That being said on pc you can mod the game so that it brings some ps2 visual effects, models from xbox version, and full and proper gamepad support which makes a game much better. But regardless shooting is the worst part of Vice City. Especialy when you compare it to awesome vehicle handling. In terms of shooting mechanics i think the best games in this genre of gta like games, can be found in Scarface, Watchdogs (you feel like John Wick), Mafia 3 and GTA IV. GTA V would be great in that regard, but super small health pool kinda forces you to use boring cover system too much, at least when using gamepad. San Andreas at first feels not great, but when you dig deeper into it, even if the guns luck a bit of kick, it's actually decent, with a good layer of tactical approach to it. Driver 3 was aiming for a proper system but they left it half baked, with barbone animations that feel like placeholder instead of actual finished ones.
To be fair, there is a reason for that. PlayStation controllers from the PS1 to PS3 had sticks that had _square_ ranges of input; a stick in the upper-left corner for instance was considered simultaneously as far left and as far up as possible rather than somewhere in-between the two directions. So, they need to do _something_ to let you be able to hit the corners of the square with modern controllers, otherwise there could be problems where for instance you may not be able to run full-speed on diagonals. Though PPSSPP has a better solution for this problem; with a toggle it remaps the input to a square without touching overall sensitivity. I believe other older controllers did this too, but I'm unaware of any confirmed examples. I know there's actually a _newer_ controller that does this; Retro-Bit's Saturn Pro Controller has sticks with square ranges of input.
Funfact: in remaster/definitive edition (mobile) Love juice and Naval engagement are fixed so Cop land is by far the worst mission in the game. In mobile edition it is close to impossible to do it in the way intended.
The funny thing about Gang Wars, Am I Right is that you can just completely bypass the fight by going into an adjacent alley with a line of sight on your target and picking him off with a sniper rifle or AR, then driving away. You don't need to kill anyone else
I'm a simple man, the bacon dude posts and I fall asleep to his new video, followed by another, and another, and another I'm about to go to bed, I went into UA-cam and boy oh boy guess who was at the top of my algorithm See you guys tomorrow🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
I think a lot of us will agree that "Naval Engagement" design is crap, and became even worst if do as developers intended and take the Landstalker as our getaway vehicle, also "Keep Your Friends Close" takes place inside the Vercetti State as a reference to Scarface.
Right now I’m playing VC for the first time in my life. It’s funny how some perceive its missions as scripted A->B straight lines, similar to GTA 5 cinematic approach, whereas oldschool GTA was more like sandboxes. Like why would you try so hard to go through the 5-star chase in Cop Land when you can simply jump in a non-police car and head straight to the Pay’n’Spray located nearby?
The Driver Hillary gets a fast car You get a slow one One mistake and the run is over Doesn't even drive you to the bank for the hiest and gets killed, making "The Driver" mission pointless.
cop land is easy i think shake down is the eziest mission if you use uzi the boat challege is harder than checkpoint charlie the job should be on two number its soo good
One thing to note on the rankings, especially the lower end I feel, is that there is an optimal way to do them and a sub-optimal way. Likewise a mission like The Driver has no real way to do it differently than intended so I feel that something as difficult as that one should be lower while ones like Navel Engagement and Shakedown are a bit unjustly low due to them being done in a very "straight-forward", no pre planned way.
8:50 oh so it's like that one mission in Sonic Adventure 2 where Rouge being cocky as fuck is the only reason the player is given a stricter time limit. Nice, always a good way to annoy the players with a needless detail.
Appreciated the placement of 'Demolitian Man'. Timer and challenge always seemed pretty fair and solid, and the RC Helicopter controls are far off from being bad. Thing is, this mission somehow preceds a fame of being 'the hardest of the game' by having roadblocked some in the early game, pretty much like 'Wrong side of the tracks' in SA. My impression is that many just repeat whats being said over the internet instead of actually playing the game while dealing with the rush to deliver content... All and all, I think you made justice for a mission that's actually well designed and receives unwarrant hate.
I like how in 4 Iron it's also possible to sneak your way onto the golf cart with weapons if you manage to jump over the wall. Then you can use your weapon of choice to easily take out the target. Leaving room for creativity makes for a good mission.
One thing i loved about thebolder games which you have highlighted here is how flexible some of them are to get ctrative with your solution. Why not bring a helicopter to a level with a tight time limit for example. The new games are more cinematic but restricted.
You should rank Grand Theft Auto IV mission. My top missions of that game are: 1. A Revengers Tragedy 2. Three Leaf Clover 3. Hostile Negotiation 4. Late Checkout 5. The Snow Storm
Finally someone who appreciates Bombs Away and Demolition Man a bit... i love those two a lot (probably mainly because i'm a fan of every machine that flies) and i've been listening about how they are awful for almost my whole life
I think there's quite a few missions similar to the boat one in Vice City where they're designed around you having to go around and pick up better guns before the mission starts to do them properly
I'm currently on my first playthrough, specifically the original PS2 version, and while I am struggling in a lot of areas, I'm still having fun here and there.
The Driver can eat my ass, I hated that damn mission so much cus im ass at racing, cant remember if I spawned a bunch of tanks for him to crash into or just ran him off the road but ive never done that mission honestly once.
Nah Loose Ends is honestly my favourite. Just the setup and the combat make it so fun and the help at the end is fun. I don’t find death row to be as good as u put it tho
"Shakedown" is 10x easier (and more fun) if you drive a motorcycle into the mall and do a drive-by instead of running around on foot like that. Also an M80 machine gun is best for "Naval Engagement." Or any weapon that blows up their boats the quickest.
It's funny you ranked Love Juice and Cop Land back to back on the bottom, but you didn't cheese Cop Land with a helicopter like you did with Love Juice. It takes a few tries because sometimes the feds run up while you're waiting for the chopper to take off, but once you get in the air, it's a super chill ride back to the estate.
I have a few different opinions to yours. For me, it’s the 2 RC missions at the bottom, then The Driver. And at the top, Phnom Penh ‘86 is my favorite mission, followed by Keep Your Friends Close. I’d also list Poulet as my least favorite mission giver, and the Colonel as my favorite (Umberto is sadly only #2).

#47: "Dumb Florida moron..."
#45: "Call yourself a mang, mang?"
#37: This one, just as the description put says, isn't as bad as I remembered it to be.
They fight like girls!" and "FIGHT LIKE MEN WITH HUGE COJONES!!"
#9 (Large): Would've figured this would be in the top 5 but I should know by now to expect the unexpected with these lists.
#8: Phnom Penh is actually the capitol of Cambodia, which was used as a Vietnamese military base during the Vietnam War.
#7: I can never forget this mission after watching the game freeze when DSP played this game and him going ballistic about it.
#3: This is the type of mission where it's hard to truly master, but it's a fun challenge and once you get the grip of it, you'll feel good about it
#2: Possibly one of the best combat segments in the game
#1: Not sure how I feel about this taking the top spot, not because it's a bad choice, but because it makes me ask myself "do I like this mission more than this one or that other one.
A list like this for GTA 3 and possibly the other games in the series feels likely, though this might just be because I'm playing through this game right now for my own channel, but I'm wondering if something like this would be possible for a series like Syphon Filter.
Just remember whenever u feel sad tbp just remember u entertain a lot of people
bro makes a living playing Vice City. He's obviously never sad
I shot Hilary King’s tires out back in the day. That was the only way to beat him for me at 13.
I just 100% the game and got all but the very last trophy today. I love vice city.
Use Brown Thunder for Cannoli
Honey wake up, he's posted a GTA game again!
By the way i think the mission name copland is a reference to the movie copland which starred ray liotta who was tommy vercettis voice actor!
I wonder how many people think aiming is really hard on console just because PCSX2 sets your joystick sensitivity to 130% by default
@@ShadowMan64572 I'd say set it to 100% and if it doesn't feel extremely slow keep it at 100
I have ps2 physical copy, original gamepad and so on.
Awesome video bro love your videos I love your twisted metal ranked videos 🥰
Funfact: in remaster/definitive edition (mobile) Love juice and Naval engagement are fixed so Cop land is by far the worst mission in the game. In mobile edition it is close to impossible to do it in the way intended.
The funny thing about Gang Wars, Am I Right is that you can just completely bypass the fight by going into an adjacent alley with a line of sight on your target and picking him off with a sniper rifle or AR, then driving away. You don't need to kill anyone else
I'm a simple man, the bacon dude posts and I fall asleep to his new video, followed by another, and another, and another
I'm about to go to bed, I went into UA-cam and boy oh boy guess who was at the top of my algorithm
See you guys tomorrow🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
I doubt you'll ever do this with the one of the first two gamess, but I look forward to It If you consider It.
I think a lot of us will agree that "Naval Engagement" design is crap, and became even worst if do as developers intended and take the Landstalker as our getaway vehicle, also "Keep Your Friends Close" takes place inside the Vercetti State as a reference to Scarface.
59:00
Oh... Phnom Penh 86... That's a reference to the Cambodian Jeanoside (I know I spelled it wrong, youtube doesn't like the mustache man word)
24:35 this mission funnily enough also gives the other bikers a way faster bike you'll see this for yourself if you steal one of them
The Driver
Hillary gets a fast car
You get a slow one
One mistake and the run is over
Doesn't even drive you to the bank for the hiest and gets killed, making "The Driver" mission pointless.
The safe cracker doesn't open the safe, either.
cop land is easy i think
shake down is the eziest mission if you use uzi
the boat challege is harder than checkpoint charlie
the job should be on two number its soo good
One thing to note on the rankings, especially the lower end I feel, is that there is an optimal way to do them and a sub-optimal way.
Somehow im thinking that you would rate these missions differently if played on the pc
40:45 - funny 🙂Dude just couldn't leave his bike. What a dedication.
Amazing video so well put together
Appreciated the placement of 'Demolitian Man'.
Timer and challenge always seemed pretty fair and solid, and the RC Helicopter controls are far off from being bad.
Thing is, this mission somehow preceds a fame of being 'the hardest of the game' by having roadblocked some in the early game, pretty much like 'Wrong side of the tracks' in SA. My impression is that many just repeat whats being said over the internet instead of actually playing the game while dealing with the rush to deliver content...
All and all, I think you made justice for a mission that's actually well designed and receives unwarrant hate.
THIS is THE underrated channel.
Good video. It's funny, I've seen some lists where the RC missions were on the bottom!
Amazing video! I loved the reference at 38:17
I like how in 4 Iron it's also possible to sneak your way onto the golf cart with weapons if you manage to jump over the wall. Then you can use your weapon of choice to easily take out the target. Leaving room for creativity makes for a good mission.
25:01 - "It's a mission with a Ph level of absolute zero."
So... it's extremely acidic? I... don't think I understand.
I'll admit, I misspoke. I only half remembered the science behind pH levels.
@@TBP Fair! I was wondering if it was a reference I didn't know, or some roundabout allusion to car battery acid being Ph 0 😂
One thing i loved about thebolder games which you have highlighted here is how flexible some of them are to get ctrative with your solution. Why not bring a helicopter to a level with a tight time limit for example. The new games are more cinematic but restricted.
You should rank Grand Theft Auto IV mission. My top missions of that game are:
1. A Revengers Tragedy
2. Three Leaf Clover
3. Hostile Negotiation
4. Late Checkout
5. The Snow Storm
Finally someone who appreciates Bombs Away and Demolition Man a bit...
i love those two a lot (probably mainly because i'm a fan of every machine that flies) and i've been listening about how they are awful for almost my whole life
40:21
Well, Libertarians have been saying that “Taxation is Theft” so it doesn’t surprise me that the word tax is a synonym for theft in slang
GTA 4 next?😅
They're barely diverse
@@imdebaws3715Makes the ranking that much interesting
Me too, i could never beat the driver took me 100 times. Then when i was older i did it first try
are you going to do ranking GTA 3 missions? I'm just asking.
25:24 if that happens to be one of my favourite three days grace songs
Glad I'm not the only one who loves Loose Ends. Number 1 for me.
Might sound embarrassing but I couldn’t beat the shootist from 2008 to 2021
15:37 I realize Max Payne 3 starts like this, too
41:12 See the head on the floor on the right?
I think there's quite a few missions similar to the boat one in Vice City where they're designed around you having to go around and pick up better guns before the mission starts to do them properly
I'm currently on my first playthrough, specifically the original PS2 version, and while I am struggling in a lot of areas, I'm still having fun here and there.
The Driver can eat my ass, I hated that damn mission so much cus im ass at racing, cant remember if I spawned a bunch of tanks for him to crash into or just ran him off the road but ive never done that mission honestly once.
It is correct to say Vice City is the best in the "GTA" series
Haven't clicked a video so fast in a long time.
I wish your SA missions video hits million views
After this ima watch your san Andreas one love stuff like this
Finally someone to not shit on demolition man because of the skill issue
Yet puts naval engagement, love juice, cop land, shakedown and juju scramble low over skill issue :>
Still good video though
Wut? I never noticed the mistake with the missing arm of Phil Cassidy !
Back Alley Brawl ranked above Cop Land is quite the skill issue
The mission structure was weird in this game.
More Vice City content ❤
