Have you ever tried using a 22 caliber bullet probably well over 100+ grains in weight that fits in an AR10 platform that has a high twist rate like the 8.6 blackout to help stabilize it in flight? Not sure if it would work but to my knowledge I don't think it has been tried yet. I could be wrong but I get crazy ideas about different configurations of guns and munitions and just wanted to relay this one to ya since I could see you actually trying it and making it work. Thanks Q and love everything you do!
Well full sized polo would be a better comparison. Almost same length and weight as the southpaw. (Polo weight doesn’t include the hub mount while the southpaw does)

Size, weight, sound, accuracy, POI shift, taper mount for repeatability, finish that will never burn or scratch off, durability, we do actual testing other than sound, low back pressure without sacrifices of “flow thru”, etc. We build systems not just mufflers.

I built my gun specifically for extra gas, even waited a year to finally find an LMT enhanced BCG and Bolt for my 14.5” carbine length block 2 upper. Seems like today everyone is trying to get rid of the gas at the cost of just about everything, as opposed to optimizing what the gas does. Putting on an LMT enhanced BCG and bolt, a long with a longer buffer system like the Vltor, combined with a gas busting charging handle, equates to a rifle that runs in all environments, limits eye watering from gas, and allows you to have a silencer and suppressor. As opposed to a “suppressor kinda” when it comes to both flash and noise lol. But what do I know, I’m just old school and want a can to make me comfortable at the range/dont want a dragon breathing fire.
I know this isn't Q's thing, but it would be cool if you guys made a muzzle device that can be pinned and welded to a 14.5 rifle, since Q is now officially in the 5.56 can territory. Maybe even offer it as a service so you can ensure it's done properly in a way that won't destroy or void the warranty of the can. I know you go through the tax stamp process for SBR's and silencers, but some people might not want a two stamp gun. Love and respect what you guys do. Very excited to see how this can performs.
Actually one of the first pieces of constructive criticism I’ve seen on the entire channel - nice work. Practically, you can assume $200 SBR won’t hurt those in the Q price bracket. However, we all know the dudes with Sugar Weasel-priced ARs that constantly complain about price *stares intently at mirror* 👌
To be honest I mainly just want to take my rifles and suppressors where I please(at least where I can legally) and not have to report it. That’s the biggest benefit to me. I would be lying though,if I didn’t say that I love saving me an extra $200 too, but not having to get permission for traveling with a rifle is the big thing for me. I know I could just get a 16” rifle, but I want enjoy the luxuries of shorter rifles with a stock without the hassle of the extra tax stamp and getting permission to travel with it, and a 14.5 pin and welded rifle gets me there comfortably. Maybe I’m in a small group of people that would enjoy this, but it would still be cool to see and enjoy.

I’m certainly not an industry expert and his shop is somewhat specialty / niche but I do think people are coming around, especially as those wait times drop. At minimum it raises awareness of the subject. I could talk nfa all day but very little of what I have to say on the subject is original or compelling 😂😂😂

You are forcing the gas to completely stop and even flow back the opposite direction, which will reduce gas velocity and temperature, unlike flow-through cans, even the newer high-tech porous designs like CAT WB and PTR Vent. But, apart from the inconel blast baffle, how is this any more worth than a OCL Polonium?

I'm practical and know that I don't have the money to waste ammo. I don't want a flow thru can. I can put an adjustable gas block on an ar15.
Seems to be better balanced then the polonium it is quiet but seems to have a hell of a lot more back pressure and gas in ur face to accomplish it then this can does
