MLM’s are notorious for preying on peoples weaknesses. It sucks how they target people already going through hard times and expect them to do more more more! I don’t blame you for not wanting to ask people to sell things just to make enough money to sell their product. It’s such a ridiculous concept. And yeah, if you aren’t hustling 24/7 (which is something most chronically ill people cannot do), these kinds of businesses really don’t make a person any money. So yeah, all around, MLM’s have very shady business strategies. I’m glad your overall experience wasn’t too horrible, but I’m also glad you’re getting yourself out of that stressful situation. 💙
Sorry to hear your job didn't work out. Anxiety is invisible sometimes. I know at work when I'm working I can't get the right words out. Years ago I was doing perdiem work doing data entry. The goal was to be full time. When the job was available I was turned down. Not because of my work ethic but because I wasn't social enough. Can you believe that. So I know how you feel when the company asked you to do certain tasks that you found Anxiety provoking.
I hope you know you didn’t actually fail as the mlm business model is designed to make most people fail so the .1% make a ton of money. The ftc says nearly 99% of people who join mlms either lose money or make no money at all/break even. The important thing is you recognized the problem and left!
I know I didn’t truly fail. I’ve been doing a ton of research since leaving, which I wish I would have done prior to joining.
