  • Using a finger sling in archery in a proper way can boost your scores, and with that, your confidence. Rather than buying an expensive pre-fabricated one, you can make them yourself and get more bang for buck! Thanks us later! :)

    I like my sling to be nice and tight... only a little bit of play. Good explanation.

    The knot should always be in the middle, where the bow is. This way the loop will always tighten itself and not hang on the knot.

    Thanks ^^ Felt like a kid trying to do his shoelaces up for the first time trying one on the firing line after someone had showed me how before - #fidgetstring lol - but finally got the hang of it now XD

    First loop is over/top loop, second loop is an underloop.

    I made my own sling - the bow ripped it off and hit the ground with my first shot. Please make sure your sling is on tight.

    But how do you attach it to the bow,if you do attach it to the bow.that's the bit I don't get.

      You tie your finger, put string around bow then loop your thumb👍

  • @joerimk8177
    @joerimk8177 4 роки тому +1

    If you make a fingersling like this, do you have to make the loop every single time you put it on your bow? I'd imagine it is way more comfortable than your average finger sling but this might cost time in for instance competitions.

    • @mocknugget
      @mocknugget 4 роки тому +1

      xPenguinYT it wont cost time it merely takes 3 seconds

    • @herreragonza5891
      @herreragonza5891 4 роки тому +1

      It won't cost any more time than a bought sling.... Or you hear the buzzer and then equip yourself? I usually pick up my bow and get myself ready sometine before the ready buzzer.... So It should take no time at all

    • @TripleTroubleArchery
      @TripleTroubleArchery  4 роки тому +5

      If I would have to guess the time I take to make the loop, I'd probably say it's less than a second!

    • @mocknugget
      @mocknugget 4 роки тому +1

      Siddhesh Nimbalkar You won’t get better even if you shoot 1000arrows a day without quality shooting, What you should do is dedicate yourself, don’t think about numbers think about dedication and shoot till you tire out, happy shooting :)

    • @TripleTroubleArchery
      @TripleTroubleArchery  4 роки тому +3

      There is no answer to your question. You need to (as above mentioned) shoot your arrows with dedication and concentration. Finding a coach who can help you will make a big difference, too. Train smarter, then harder.

      Practice alone does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. Better to do 100 arrows with good form than 1000 with bad form.

    This is why I use a longbow. No extras necessary.
