Beautiful moving lyrics. Stuart Adamson was a poet. Unfortunately not recognized as such in his lifetime, but his words move me more than any of the great pantheon of poets. His name will never die this time will be forever x

Great song! :-)
magnificent
I sang this one in the grocery store the other day as I was purchasing carrots for Rainbow my donkey, and the cashier said she knew what I felt, but I was better advised to save my voice for the local
always wondered why this version on Damascus had the middle 8 vocal taken out where as John Wayne's dream version had it in. It almost makes them 2 different albums
"JOHN WAYNE'S DREAM" was the US release version of "DRIVING TO DAMASCUS"
and some songs for what ever reason were remixed and edited just for that relaese.
Driving to Damascus was one of the first things I ever bought off e-bay (early 2000, IIRC. Having listened to it for 23 years now, I finally listened to JWD the other day for the 1st time. The difference are subtle but unmistakable. I consider JWD to BE a "separate album."
