I guess this is one of those questions where the answer really depends on where you live. $60,000 is a secure amount ($120,000 couple) in some areas. I think $120,000 for a single person would be where I'd stop caring about money as its enough to raise a family on 1 salary. To put this in perspective for anyone not familiar with New York's economy, housing rent alone starts at like $2,000 a month, and that's for some little hole in the wall. So your yearly rent bill is at least $24,000, if not way more.

Money may not make you happy but it will give you the peace of mind to know that you have your finances under control. Contentment is as close as i need to be to happiness and money can certainly give you contentment. With that it is much easier to find happiness in hobbies and a better perspective on life.
Farah, I guess she has over $100,000 a year and she’s still not happy? 🙄 Unless if she has dealt with financial problems or something related to the topic then I can reason with her frustration.
35K a year is not middle class. Middle class is 50K - 100K. That would be considered "lower" middle class. I hope your parents have a backup plan financially in case they divorce!
XFendi Prada what a horrible comment. how dare you indirectly wish badly on someone’s happy family. something must be wrong in your life love. I hope you find your own happiness.
Wow I think when I was working I got a salary even less than the smallest salary on here!! Lower class, America definitely needs to pay it's workers more or bring the cost and taxes down for us!! It's a trap!! There's no way to get out.
When you were working? As in, like, you got fired, or you're old and retired? Because if it's the latter, than inflation is a station of information that'll cause you elation, if it's the former than feel warmer knowing that the future is brighter when you get into form. Yeah I kinda made poetry instead of responding to this dysentery of a comment tree.
It's more about giving to get enjoyment and living to earn life. I have earned the big bucks and been miserable, I have also slept in my car on the streets with 60c in my pocket. Both were life experiences and learning, but my true happiness comes when I am surrounded by good people and genuinely care for each other. The best things in life are free.
Clara Park Nope. Middle class people struggle to make ends meet all the time. Too “rich” for public assistance and too “poor” to afford everything else. Everyone finds happiness in their own way and money may not always be an important factor. But in general, if you make enough to support not only yourself, your family and loved ones, but also have enough to enjoy the finer things in life, treat yourself to expensive vacations, luxury items or whatever you desire, AND have good amount of leftovers for investment and savings, you would be quite satisfied with your income. The amount seems to be 200K+ in NYC according to this video and it’s quite accurate in my opinion. (aka upper middle class to upper class)
Interesting. is the series going to go outside of new york? also, interesting that yes, it does get to the point where you have "enough" money. shame it is painfully and inaccessibly high up...
When I’m live an easy life I want to be able to donate and give back just as much if not more money than I’ve made I will not let my money or possessions inflate my ego
True happiness for me is more about freedom and peace of mind. A hectic/stressful $$$ earning career, raising a family, and a ridiculous mortgage is not the answer lol
So basically 7 of the women were entitled and thought they were better than they actually were and the 3 that were actually good and successful got paid and were satisfied with their lives, wow Crazy how that works
It's a competition amongst superiority. We need what we want and whoever is able to show off what they have the most is simply better than the next person. It doesn't matter if your happier, who has more power
Money does buy happiness but only for a short period of time. It’s true, the day I went and bought my first Porsche, I was really happy but only for a month and it all becomes normal.
@Emy It also depends on retirement goals (it is possible to retire with a million dollars on ordinary salaries), dependants living them, investment goals.

Dimkpa Chimenim i guess u found her doppelgänger
Danny Rand hahahha noo i meant she’s a good actress!! But yea she’s also really pretty :))

motiwor rahman hahahah honey read the beginning of the video
Money may not make you happy but it will give you the peace of mind to know that you have your finances under control. Contentment is as close as i need to be to happiness and money can certainly give you contentment. With that it is much easier to find happiness in hobbies and a better perspective on life.
The video title doesn't match the question that was actually asked.
Well...... It's never enough.....
Wait, I've seen you somewhere.
@@zthreetwo9874 =)
Hey youre that really fantastic piano player
@@nakajimasara you're fantastic too bro
😂
Oh god this just made me hate realtors more lol
Farah, I guess she has over $100,000 a year and she’s still not happy? 🙄
Unless if she has dealt with financial problems or something related to the topic then I can reason with her frustration.
@@Ash_Queen16 barely make 8 a year... I'm not living in NYC thankfully
She won’t be making that for long.....
Brandon De Oca industry will be disrupted
She’s just determined? Never settle.
This was so interesting
“More money just stresses me out” wow I wanna have that problem
It's not money that makes you happy it's how you use it that makes you happy
Appreciate what you have!!!!!!
These people make so much money.. my parents make 35k a year (per person) and they are in the middle class.
35K a year is not middle class. Middle class is 50K - 100K. That would be considered "lower" middle class. I hope your parents have a backup plan financially in case they divorce!
@@블랙스완-t7v My mistake, I meant per person. Also, they're not married and they are perfectly happy together :)
XFendi Prada what a horrible comment. how dare you indirectly wish badly on someone’s happy family. something must be wrong in your life love. I hope you find your own happiness.
XFendi Prada they’re making 70k which is middle class. Also, you sound very pessimistic - not a good look.
XFendi Prada 70K is certainly middle class.
I'm glad that most of them are respectful and really try to do good or wish that they could with the money that they have.
they say middle class people are the happiest - earning enough to live comfortably but not so much that it stresses you out
Clara Park Nope.
Welfare & Rich are the happiest
The cost of living in New York is absolutely crazy
Interesting. is the series going to go outside of new york? also, interesting that yes, it does get to the point where you have "enough" money. shame it is painfully and inaccessibly high up...
the project manager, i like how she answer 😍😍😍 and she's beautiful too.
When I’m live an easy life I want to be able to donate and give back just as much if not more money than I’ve made I will not let my money or possessions inflate my ego
🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐
“Are you happy with the Money you have?”
is a very DIFFERENT question than the title interpretation of
“Does Money Make You Happy?”
True happiness for me is more about freedom and peace of mind. A hectic/stressful $$$ earning career, raising a family, and a ridiculous mortgage is not the answer lol
agreed, being sufficiently paid to do a job I love whilst being able to have free time with loved ones is true happiness for me.
Happiness starts at 200k or better secret to life lbvs
So basically 7 of the women were entitled and thought they were better than they actually were and the 3 that were actually good and successful got paid and were satisfied with their lives, wow Crazy how that works
It's a competition amongst superiority. We need what we want and whoever is able to show off what they have the most is simply better than the next person. It doesn't matter if your happier, who has more power
"more money would stress me out"
I can help you with that
Key to financial happiness finally revealed: 200k or more. Not being sarcastic. (I make 25)
only if you live in new york
2:20 “iM wOrRiED mY mOnEy wOnT bE SpEnT.”
That's not what she said.
This series is extremely fascinating
Money does buy happiness but only for a short period of time. It’s true, the day I went and bought my first Porsche, I was really happy but only for a month and it all becomes normal.
Well said, you didn't buy happiness but a Porsche because their is no retail item called happiness
What the HEECKK they are not happy with 70k80k a year it's enormous
Emy I think it’s all relative. What you do, where you live, your expenses etc.
Because life is really expensive.
@Emy It also depends on retirement goals (it is possible to retire with a million dollars on ordinary salaries), dependants living them, investment goals.
Emy they live in New York
its New York.
Imagine making half a million dollars a year
Believe it or not, its not all that
Money can buy everything including happiness.
FireFly14 It can’t buy love.
It really do Be like that sometimes I mean it can
Basdine The chicken nugget no it can’t.
This is a Interesting video with a unique and an important topic.
This is something everyone needs to watch
