@NinjaWarriorDude A quick sweep will ruin the choke because the person being choked would now be on top and could frame the neck, break their grip etc. Though i agree that an "Ezekiel Choke" most likely stop the fight.
i have hit this on high level purple belts, gi and no gi...as long as the technique is done perfectly it can be achieved at any level...maybe you forget that the very first submissions you learn are the most successful as well (guilltone, RNC, armbar, triangle)...any technique works the way its supposed to if its done perfectly. cheers.
Awesome self defense technique guys and I know it's a common situation because every time we get a new student with a wrestling background this smashing is exactly what they do.
I'm not saying to take what u want from the correct technique, but u don't have to have full underhook with one arm. I pull this off with just trapping the arm towards the side I sweep. Also with pushing other leg down instead of hooking over the back of leg.
@JRT140 My cousin has done wrestling for 2 years, I tired his ass so much that the next day he passed out and went to sleep in the middle of the day. And he was serious, I was playing some BJJ.
Just because you dont have a solid understanding of "old school stuff" and you cant pull it off on good people doesnt mean thats the rule for everyone. every great beginner technique becomes better with age and experience. watch kron gracie and roger gracie in competition. very basic moves pulled off at the world class level.
Rener's instruction reminds me alot of his father's....very clear, concise, with apparent attention to detail.
I"m sure is one of the top 5 sweeps for the street and against guys that are always pushing in practice.
Thank"s.
You guy’s rock thank you I’ve been the victim of this sweep in class for over three years now I can add it to my arsenal 😊
thanks for all your videos, I have been in the Gracie system for about a year and this helps between classes to refresh.
Are you still training ?
@@resheeraj9181 I wish I was how about you? We moved out in the country so nothing close.

Keep it real!
I use this at least once every time I roll
I got lucky! I really needed an answer for this. New bigger guys are doing this in my guard and i've been needing ways to make space..

I suck at using the overhook to stop the arm from re-basing.
More videos of "Keep It Real" Ryron.
Thanks again!!Keep 'em coming!

Is there a variation of this without the feet?
