Enjoyed the video! You guys were discussing some of the advantages of kayak fishing, which were all true. I also love the fact that when you are out on a kayak you are not using and spilling fuel and oil on the water! Great episode
Happy New Year. Hope you guys enjoy the full episode. This is one of my favorites from Season 3. My son Austin got his personal best and it was just a cool experience.
+KayakBassinTV Now Chad..don't be hatin' on the RayBans..they aree good enough for the Blues Brothers! :) This is a good episode. Definitely more episodes of fishing--less on Private Waters that are pay to play and more on public waters. Maybe an episode showing you dialing in on what and where the fish are biting--testing colors, lures, etc?
+ChasinBass Yeap, we are doing a lot more of that now, especially since I am filming myself more. I fish public water every week, but it is expensive to film a show and have the constant "curiosity" from others inhibit your ability to film and fish. That's why I'm starting a series called Toad Trips which is a back story look at most of my fishing trips. The preparation, the launch site, the plan of attack, the adjustments (if needed) and of course, the results. I will be focusing on pre-trip planning, gathering Intel, putting together a gameplan and developing patterns along the way.
KayakBassinTV True..I didn't think about that aspect--but then I would notice the film crew with you and I would stay the heck out of your way because I would realize that you're working. I have high expectations from humans I guess Chad. :) Like the 'Toad Tips' series idea; I'm looking forward to it.
great video. this really illustrates how kayak fishing gets you in spots where boats can't. I have both a war eagle boat and 2 kayaks a pelican pro 10 and a big fish 120. both fish different ways so it's nice to have both but you put out great kayak fishing video. thanks for sharing
This is from two seasons ago. But, I would like to know what you would like to see us do more of, less of, better, different, or whatever other suggestions that you may have. Thanks in advance. - Chad
wow! I'm at work bored out of my mind and I was gonna try to see if I could find a full episode online, but you posted this right on time! weird.... Chad thank you so much for liking and commenting on our Facebook post, Southern Bass Fishing, it means a ton to us. We are trying to get more likes on the page so I hope you don't mind us using some of your words of wisdom from time to time, (we will always credit you), Thanks!
Hey Chad, Bear here from Smithville, Texas. really enjoy your videos and all yall do for fishing enthusiasts. Would love to see yall come back around the central Texas area some time soon. Pretty good bass at Lake Bastrop. (hint hint)
Chad buddy ilove watching ur show I'm an angler also and a dad as well I live in Kentucky and kayak fishing is something that I started doing this year and I have learned so much from u that I feel like I know u lol I just want to thank u for everything IV learned from u sorry for writing a story lol
Great video Chad !!! I don't have a kayak but I'm looking into the Wilderness systems Ride 115 the red and lime color. I'm from Ga I love to fish I used to go fishing all the time with my Dad but he passed in 2015 we just always fished from the banks I have lots of fish stories to tell fishing with my Dad. I have a daughter who loves to fish also. I enjoy your videos and your commitment to bass fishing from a kayak. I also would like to know if you will be in Ga doing a book signing or guest appearance in the near future. Take care enjoy the great outdoors.
Danny Whitlock I'm in Georgia quite a bit. I usually post up where I'm going and what I'm doing on my Facebook page and Instagram. Hit Me up and let's go fishing. Flukemaster and I are doing a seminar series on Bienville Plantation Dec 2-4th. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you like the content. 😜
KayakBassinTV 😊 Hi, Chad !!! Thanks I really enjoy all your fishing videos and your advise on fishing. I also downloaded Scout look app I hope one day to purchase a Wilderness Ride 115. Thanks for all you do and the invite to go fishing. Have a Blessed weekend !!!
Nice video, Chad. Some suggestions: I like how you discuss the advantages of fishing from a kayak. I'd like to hear your opinions on sit in vs. sot. Also, I bought a fishfinder last year, but am still a newbie when it comes to interpreting the information it's showing me, so more on that would be great. I'd hate to spend all day paddling around staring at that thing, but if that's what it takes to learn to use it, I would. Do you fish much in the winter months? I put my yaks away when it gets cold, I don''t enjoy freezing on the lake and I'm fearful of getting in trouble should I swamp my boat if no one is around. How about some vids on kayak/fishing safety? Lastly, many of us fish on a budget and can't afford a huge arsenal of gear, so please do more of your tips on saving money, like the video you did on worn out toads. Love what you're doing, keep living the dream.
+PD Rhino Thanks brother. I can say that we have a video scheduled to cover every item that you asked for. I am doing a lot more of the saving money videos as well. In fact, I am working on a refurbishing lures video right now. :) Thanks for the support.
I have the ultimate FX 15 solo I chose that kayak for it to be safe fur about my kids not falling out but my son pot a five-pound walleye on the St Louis biggest fish he caught was an awesome feeling to see how proud he was
+RiffSandwich I would recommend one of the entry level Elite Series from Lowrance. You may want to start with the Elite 4 DSI and upgrade later down the road if you decide you need more out of the unit.
As i am getting more involved in local tournament fishing i would really like to know about the types of clothing you guys wear during your typical fishing season??? Do you "Layer"??? Do you wear a Wet Suit ???
Hi Chad. Do you still have the Nissan Frontier shown in the video? If so why did you choose the vehicle? I am in the market for a vehicle to serve as my daily commuter as well as a Kayak hauler.
+David Meeks Yes I do. I chose it because I can get to places that I can't with other trucks. I has room for all of my gear and it is easy to load kayaks on top for carrying extra boats when needed or when I am not using the trailer.
+SCbassin By doing a lot of research in advance. If I need to move to another area, I just paddle back to the ramp and reload, drive to the new area and then relaunch.
+Bullwolf1965 The temperature is more accurate, the readings are more accurate. I can move it from boat to boat easily. Oh yeah, and I can angle it out to shoot under docks and such. :)
love the show...man i wish i had mire time to fish like you guys ..i barely get to apply anything im learning here...really annoying...i just wanna fish everyday and get payed
+wesley harden The biggest that I caught on video and have a picture of is 13#. I caught two over 14, but I pissed off an ex-girlfriend and came home to a box of burned up deer, fish and rodeo pics in my front yard. That was before the digital age, so I didn't have a backup. The other 14 I never got a picture of, the state trooper made me get my gear and load up or he was towing my truck and arresting me for criminal trespassing if I went back to the truck for my camera.
It's an old surface pit coal mine that has been abandoned. When they are mining they have to constantly keep the water pumped out. When they are finished the pit just fills up with water. Most of the are really deep.
these are the episodes I enjoy most. Great start to the new year

Dude! How are you not starting every episode with this title sequence tune?! Its jam, man!
Happy New Year. Hope you guys enjoy the full episode. This is one of my favorites from Season 3. My son Austin got his personal best and it was just a cool experience.

+ChasinBass it's actually Toad Trips, but I like that too. I will include some Toad Tips
On my Toad Trips. LOL
KayakBassinTV I blame AutoCorrect for that (even though I wasn't on my iPhone..) Either that or Steve Harvey :)

I love them all but I would love to get better at river fishing.
Would love to see new episodes like this about 15-20 minutes long just catching fish and telling us what your catching em on (:
Thanks guys.
Less advertising! I'd just like to enjoy some simple fishing.
+ChrisCatchesFish we are doing that where we can. But there is a balance. I appreciate the feedback.
Nice way to start the new year ..with a good Bass kayak video. ..SWEET
+YAK MAN Thanks brother. That was the idea. :)
Love the show!! Got my 1st Kayak last fall and can't wait till spring. Using the winter to get it geared up. Fish on and GOD BLESS!!!!!
Why don't you fish in the winter? There is no fishing season, you can kill it anytime.
+Colby Black I agree. Fishing in the winter can be a blast.
what some sweet kayak. love to get mine hand on a kayak too. love watching you Chad. your such a entertainment youtuber . happy new year to you.
+Meng Lee Thanks. Happy New Year to you too.
I love these shows! Keep it up
+Brian Hutcherson Thanks Brian. We plan to.
Congrats to your son on his PB catch, priceless!
+Chris Maher Thanks brother. I will NEVER forget that day.

I'm down for that. I was just through there around Christmas but the weather didn't cooperate for a trip through on the way home.

Nice vid man
+elitefishingtv Thanks!
Chad what would you recommend for a finder equipped with gps for someone who doesn't want to break the bank? 400-500 dollar range.
+RiffSandwich I would recommend one of the entry level Elite Series from Lowrance. You may want to start with the Elite 4 DSI and upgrade later down the road if you decide you need more out of the unit.

Chad.. Not sure if you will see this.. Do you think the hobie lowrance ready plates block some of the sonar? Is it better to go over the side
+Zach Moore I don't think they have any real impact on traditional sonar. But they do cause some degradation on DSI.

Hey Chad, I am looking for a fish finder for my first kayak, I am looking at a Garmin Striker Plus 4Cv. What are your thoughts?
The Kayak you use what model is that? I am a bigger guy myself and have yet to find a comfy seat to sit in and fish with on a Kayak.
what type of mount are you using for you transducer?
+catfishstinch The Transducer arm from RAM Mounts with the 1" Screwball from YakAttack.
Where exactly is this located? I can’t seem to find it anywhere on maps lol
How big was the bass that u caught at the beginning of the video.
+wesley harden Which one? In the trailer?
Hi Chad. Do you still have the Nissan Frontier shown in the video? If so why did you choose the vehicle? I am in the market for a vehicle to serve as my daily commuter as well as a Kayak hauler.

David Meeks oppooppo
How do you cover water from a kayak on lakes while fishing?
+SCbassin By doing a lot of research in advance. If I need to move to another area, I just paddle back to the ramp and reload, drive to the new area and then relaunch.
What kind of sunglasses do u wear
Pheasant Hunter Costa Del Mar
Just a quick question? why do you have your transducer hanging over the edge of your boat and not mounted in the hull? Thank you
+Bullwolf1965 The temperature is more accurate, the readings are more accurate. I can move it from boat to boat easily. Oh yeah, and I can angle it out to shoot under docks and such. :)
+KayakBassinTV makea sense to me, thank you
R u fishing today
love the show...man i wish i had mire time to fish like you guys ..i barely get to apply anything im learning here...really annoying...i just wanna fish everyday and get payed
What kayak is chad using in this video
Hi Chad, What's the net you're using ?
+Jim Rittenhouse That's the Leverage LAnding Net. YakAttack.us will be re-releasing it very soon.
God I want to fish with Chad just once
Well, let’s make it happen.

+bass_master 730 You can go through Highland Rim Retreats.
OK thanks
Big fan BTW
Thanks brother. I really appreciate it.
What's the biggest bass you've ever caught.
+wesley harden The biggest that I caught on video and have a picture of is 13#. I caught two over 14, but I pissed off an ex-girlfriend and came home to a box of burned up deer, fish and rodeo pics in my front yard. That was before the digital age, so I didn't have a backup. can i pleas get that song at the bigining
+Dirk van den Berg Big Ol' Bass by Brock Zeman
thanx man
i love your chanel
I understand how kayaks are more versatile but boats are better, just an opinion
Dylan okay. Better is subjective. 😜
What's a strip pit
+Doggyandteddy It is the pit that is left after strip mining. They make great lakes and fishing spots and they are many of them across the country.
It's an old surface pit coal mine that has been abandoned. When they are mining they have to constantly keep the water pumped out. When they are finished the pit just fills up with water. Most of the are really deep.
Yeap. This one has places that are almost 60 feet deep.

You stay acting like the only way to fish a spot is by kayak... so not true man!
I never said that. It's the way I prefer to fish. I fish a ton of different ways. Thanks for the comment.
+MrAbword But I'm still gone be stay acting like it....
I'm sorry I misunderstood you then... Could you make a video of the reels you use someday please?
Yeap, I am doing a full series of videos on all of my rods and reels.
