I love how he's a foreign kid, but the show doesn't just go for the easy jokes of "lol ain't this foreign kid such a weirdo?" Rolf clearly has friends who accept and respect him for being himself, which is a good message to give to kids; especially ones who may be different from the norm like Rolf is.
Rolf and Ed are like the Demigods of the cul-de-sac. Both have immense strength that can be influenced by their emotions or motives. Rolf though can sense when something supernatural is present and be coherent of it, while Ed has such a high pain tolerance, he sometimes doesn't even know he should be in pain.
“You have squeezed an orange rind in the eye of Rolf.” He really was one of the best characters. It makes it so much funnier when he refers to himself in the third person. Ah the memories.

Rolf is honestly extremely intimidating if you think about it. This man can defy gravity, he can dig a well like he's peddling a bicycle, has the immense physical power to lift a man hole cover, which are extremely heavy, like its made of dry plywood. The dude is hardcore.
Base Rolf is the strongest character in the show. Even the Kanker sisters do not seem as strong physically. Only angry Ed is probably stronger but that’s debatable
I feel like the younger millenials and us elder Zoomers had _just_ enough good luck to have seen this show, back in the day. Whatever hardships we will likely face down the road, just know that this show has been a part of our lives and it will stay that way as long as we live and as long as we can still remember things as old men and women.

I am half greek half swedish. I always thought of Rolf was supposed to be of northern descent (Rolf is a common name for older men in Sweden) but I always thought the accent felt generic and unidentifiable. I cannot quite hear that it is supposed to be a greek accent, not even a toned down version of it. Throughout the video I was thinking "what accent is this supposed to be? Definitely european, but from where? Toned down slavic accent? French accent w/o the rolling R's and w/o the Ze's?" Greek accent is interesting, because they dont have any "Ch" sound. Ex: Ketchup = Ketsapp. Catch = Kats. Czech = Tsek. Longer E-pronoinciations become I's. Example: Feel = Phil. Greece = Gris. Gris is Pig in swedish btw. Now Im off to a tangent but still fun.
