He genuinely is just. The best romance In all of gaming for me. Even if he has less romantic content in Inquisition it doesn't matter. The writing behind solas more than makes up for it and the way Bioware conveyed his unwavering admiration, respect and love for Lavellan without excess cutscenes is staggering. And then after 10 years of waiting for a conclusion...I have my gripes with Veilguard but solavellan was NOT ONE. This ending perfectly encapsulates the YEARNING between them and yes I cried like a little fucking baby when I got this ending

The full turn to her and bow as he apologises at 00:37 He continues to avoid her gaze, afraid of what he will find there from rejection to his stance wavering.
2:36 she gets down to her knees to reinforce there is more to his life than the duty and burdens of guilt, that their love will create a new future.
3:12 he looks up at her, his eyebrows squeeze in emotional pain, and quickly down when speaking of his failings and a way to make recompense that he will take.
The way he wholly looks at her at 3:28 on "Seek atonement", he most of all wants her to know he will endeavour to do better and be better.
His surprise at 3:39, she will not let him have the final word. She will have their love endure.
3:44, hands held, small head shake - he is concerned for her and is warning her - but her conviction is stronger.
There is a micro second gaze where he looks back at her, head held high at 4:05 that I will never get over. He has accepted this better path that has been gifted to him.

Thank you! The way he curls into himself when confronted by Mythal apologizing for starting him on this path is so visceral! My 100+ hours of gameplay really just came to this. FINALLY a fitting ending to Dragon Age Inquisition. I liked Velguard too with its considerable faults but finding out all the stuff about Solas's past and his and the Inquisitor's end and seeing him in his full god glory was easily my favorite part. Oh and my romance with Davrin.
His entire demeanor after he sees Mythal breaks my HEART. The way he goes to hand her the dagger, as if to beg her to relieve his burden and she proceeds to let him know that it's *okay* to want something for himself and to pursue a different path. He had placed her on such a pedestal that he could not move on until he accepted that her faults were just as big (or even bigger) than his own and that she was just as responsible for their mistakes.
I'll never be over Solas... I want more...

indeed! you can kinda guess that from rooks pov, because Solas keeps explaining his resolution without seeing at him and looking to left instead, but actually seeing it is much more meaningful. They lost such a nice scene there.

I am so happy I got this ending. I havent played inquisition, only watched DAO, and I started the game not liking Solas at all. As the game progressed I was so happy for our little conversations and in the end, when they were talking at the table, I was about to flip when there were talking about killing him being the only option. After guiding best bud Davrin and Assan to their deaths, I was not going to let Solas die too...

She gonna chill there, sometimes come back for khachapuri with Rook, while her husband tries to reflect all his regrets to leave the prison
The writer said that they are going back to the prison he was in but because they are together it's going to be way better. He said they'll be happy there. I wish they'd shown us, sigh. And also wish they shot the kiss better cause the in game angles are horrid.

Nothing too bad. Sayong it won't be terrible if they're together is literal. The prison works with regrets; they'll have fewer and be able to support each other. It won't be so bad.
Why is it about Mythal now when it was about the elven people in Trespasser?
Maybe it was ALWAYS about Mythal? Solas is great a lying, especially to himself.
cut content. explained better in outside sources like the novels and such. i think joplin (what veilguard could've been) had a better transition from trespasser to da4 when it comes to stuff like the elven army among other things.
I have not gotten that far yet... how does she have two arms? she lost one at the in of DAI. unless it is a fake one.... lol

... I think it's well worth checking out his romance in DAI for yourself because as people were saying, Lavellan didnt know who Solas was but she got to know his heart, the exact opposite of rook. It's very tender and tragic, and the sheer payoff from getting the best possible closure after remaining lovesick for a decade is tearing us apart LOL (i'm dying)

In inquisition I was just a high school kid who romanticized something like throw away everything for love. Now I am grown ass woman..nope Solas don’t even care enough to stop
Maybe I'm delusional, but I got the feeling Mythal was not as into him as he was into her. She used him for her own ends and refused to run off with him when he asked. Lavellan is the true love, she's no sidechick. :)

it's crazy how easily this game could've been an improved significantly. but nooo.... We had to get a gender-politics obsessed fail-guard with crappy "puzzles" that thinks it's players are challenged with boring, repetetive gameplay and dull characters
