You Know It's GNARLY When There's a WARNING!

- You'd be forgiven for thinking it's BC, given all the granite slabs. But this riding area is on the opposite side of the country, in Quebec City. Wolverine at Sentiers du Moulin certainly packs a punch!

Yep. You cannot even see the ground of half the path down.

"Sometimes I'm scaredy cat" aww that warmed my heart 🖤
We're all scaredy cats sometimes :)
You had one job: write the sentence down. It was "Sometime, I'm so scaredy cat." Its the broken English that makes it endearing and you left it out/corrected it.
Yeah, that warmed my heart cuz lots of times I'm a scaredy cat!

Now I understand why the Québécois riders I met in Oakridge this summer weren't afraid of anything.
Remarkable work by the builders. Never seen such a combination of rock and wood features.
when you ride in Quebec, you can ride anywhere, some of the gnarliest terrain here on all the planet.
@@bikeninja956 the real limit of mtb in Quebec are the roads
@@thomastorquettorquet2360 not what I meant, I mean the terrain in Quebec is so gnarly that it gives you the skillz to ride anywhere..... but ALSO, yes, the roads are terrible in some locations thusly limiting your adventure at times lol..

Granite is so grippy in the wet, I wouldn't hesitate to trust a granite slab in the rain. It's worse when it hasn't rained in a while and the wind's blown dirt onto it.

You have to admire a girl that feels her fears, but pushes forward anyway.
But you'd don't admire a guy that does the same?

You just get up on those pedals and use the suspension that God gave you.
PS. I started on an early '90s RIGID, but now I ride a PIVOT! :)
we used to do far more difficult stuff on hard tails back in the 90s in Argenitna on Andes mountains

Now we need to go back to ride Slab City, looks awesome!

Yuka calls herself "sometimes a scare-dy cat." She's no scare-dy cat. That lady is a frickin lioness. I would never do any of this stuff. Getting on a bike again at my age is probably never gonna happen. Yuka is cautious. She's practical. Realistic. Accessing the risks. These are things a lioness will do in the wild. I would never equate that with fear. Or rather, if fear is involved it's just one factor in a much more complicated equation, and fear can be a useful motivator for determining more rational approaches to the fight or flight survival instinct. Next time Yuka catches herself thinking she's a scare-dy cat, perhaps she should let out a primal roar instead. Make the trail her prey.
nice job on wolverine! when did you guys go there? i think we rode in quebec roughly the same time. i went to sentiers du moulin on 3rd september, it was raining a lot the day before, we did one trail (QMG) but it was full of deep mud and huge puddles, very slick overall, so we ended up going to st raymond instead...too bad because the trails here look rad
