@@roytibayescanervlog4998 I'm so sorry I don't understand your language..I'm not sure if you are asking if it's Teflon tape. But yes it is Teflon plumbing tape. I use that
Very neat work. You are a professional. Agree with your comment that one needs to practice, practice and.... I grafted my Fuerte saplings but only 4 succeeded out of 200 grafts. A good number of failed grafts killed the plant too. I can only say that I need to learn more. However, the critical aspect is correct season and sanitized cutting and grafting tools. I have tried grafting, all methods, during spring, and autumn with low success rate. You video is so simple and easy to follow. I will try to follow your method and will certainly share the result with you. A big Thank You from Dehradun, India.
Wow amazing and interesting thanks... anyway v grafting i have tried many times but it fails,so could you help me out like which month is the best seasons for it here in Nagaland northeast India will be grateful if you could provide some help. Thank you lot's of love from Nagaland northeast India
Awesome informative video, really appreciated. Thank you! Because of my inexperience, I overwatered my avocado tree and it died ( or so I thought) from root rot. Months after I stopped watering it I realized that it was actually alive and had started growing up from the very bottom, since the rest of the tree (graft included) is dried. The new branch is about a foot below the grafting. Do I need to graft it again? Thank you!
Sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the login password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Alan Abdiel I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
May I ask where did you get those scion? Is it from an old fully grown tree that is producing fruits already? Another question, Is there a chance that my plant can die from grafting? Thanks. I just started germinating seeds and it grows 5 inches and planning to graft it. When Do I graft it?
One is germinate from seed, other one is avocado variety that you want to be grafted. Then start grafting it. Exactly, my grafting is not 100% work. I think 10% to 20% of them can be death. 1/2m is perfectly to be grafted.
You graft because the old grown tree is producing fruits that you like. Therefore, you take a scion from the old tree and graft it to the young tree that was grown from a seed. This will accomplish the following: #1. The graft will shortcut the fruiting process making it possible to produce fruit on as little as 2 years. #2. Your graft is now a copy (or also called a "clone") of the old tree. Both will bear the same fruits. If a seed is allowed to grow to maturity, it would take about 6-7 years to bear fruit. That's why grafting is used to speed up the fruiting process and the fruits are always the exact copy from the old tree.
@@jupiterdzhoovy558 does the young tree that was grown from seed need to be of the same variety as the scion from the old tree? , an example is if the tree seed is from a fuerte avocado and the scion from the old tree is from a hass avocado is it okay?
@@heavenblackred2542 no, it doesn't have to be from the same variety. another reason for grafting other than to make the plants bear fruit faster is to get the resistance from the stock if you're using a different variety. You can use a climate or pest resistant stock.
Thanks for sharing your grafting technique. I have a couple of question would like to ask you. 1. When can the avocado tree be grafted? Does it has to be an established tree or as young as one that just started growing leaf? 2. I have two small Haas avocado tree, can one be grafted to the other or does it has to be from two different variety?
i can answer your quest. stocks(the plant that will receive the part) can be grafted when it's about 3 feet. actually you can graft it below that height requirements. it's just a suggestion just to be safe if you're a beginner. Mostly the reason we do this is to get the young plant to bear fruits earlier that's why we take the scion (the bud or branch that is being grafted to the stalk) from an already fruiting plant. another reason why we graft us sometimes about the resistance of the stock. we can take a stock that is native to a certain region and graft our ideal scion into it so that we would have an acclimatized plant. another reason is pest resistance. so basically you take a scion from the plant already bearing/ bearing good quality fruit and you choose a stock that is either young or has those traits needed for it to flourish in the environment where it will be planted
hi~ subs ur channel🤣 graft is AMAZING🤣🤣 where do you get the bud to connect the stem, from the mother PLANT? i planted two or three AVOCADOs, can i graft? both same date i planted
I'm sure you already have the answer to this but why would you graft a tree that has not produced fruit yet. Get the scions from a tree that is bearing fruit and has the qualities of a fruit that you really like e.g. size, taste, texture, compatibility etc. No use reproducing something that is substandard. Get the best!
Saka isa p tanong po sir ung dati n b grafted n n fruit pd p rin kuhanan ng sanga para idugtong s ibang sanga din ng avocado n kri graft din ? avocado din
You need at least 2 flower bearing avocado trees. Avocado trees have monoecious flowers (having both the male and female reproductive organs) thus can pregnate themselves and bear own fruit, but slower usually takes 5-13 years. With more than 1 avocado tree, butterflies can help spread the pollen, thus bearing more fruit.
You can not wait for this tree to bear fruit. It may take another three to four years before this tree will bear fruit. You can speed up the fruiting process by grafting a branch or a scion from an old avocado tree that is already bearing fruit. After grafting and if growing conditions are right, you can expect your grafted tree to bear fruit as early as 2 years.

Just asking how many months should be the avocado seedlings to be grafted?
Avocado trees should be 1.5 years old or branches are as big as/bigger than pens.
Do we need to water it while in the stage of grafting?
