That prefire delay explains SO much what my experience has been with this gun. It feels like I have a little bit of lag when I use it that I could not explain. Overall though I do still think it is a pretty decent battle rifle, even in full auto. The full auto recoil is VERY manageable when compared to the other battle rifles which combined with the damage makes it a pretty beastly option if you can deal with that prefire delay.
I've only gotten to pick it up off the ground once so far. It seemed pretty stock with just a thirty round mag so ADS was slow, but I didn't even register the delay in full auto. It's the gun I'm going for first, but taking 20 or 25 tokens to get to it from the start is a painful joke for trying to get it when seeing people with Black Cell running around with both right off the rip. Though I've seen the intervention way more period. Because it makes people go into quick scope mode painfully quick. The annoyance and drop in my KD is real.
Just a quick complement: 1) The underbarrel drill has half the bullet drop of a underbarrel grenade launcher. However, you cannot equip any underbarrel launcher together with the 50 rounds drum mag. This may hurt its effectiveness in WZ. 2) There is a unique stock wrap attachment that improves handling without harming the recoil. I guess Ace missed it.
I haven't unlocked it yet but does the fire delay not totally mess up longish range shots? Those need precise timing to hit headshots and lead targets, 45ms seems like a giant pain in the ass. Looking forward to trying it out myself.
Do you think you could take another look at recoil smoothness? I can't be sure, but I swear that it makes some difference (although possibly negligible) now...
@@gingerwitch64 yeah, it’s odd because when Ace does the testing, there’s no difference in recoil. So, I wonder if it only applies when shooting an actual target? Not sure
Open bolt delay is a bummer, but I’ve been using this a lot since the new season started and while I like it, I don’t think it’s as good or versatile as the FTAC Recon, which is still my favorite primary in the game. It might be replacing the SO-14 and TAQ-V as the other battle rifle I mess around with when I want some variety. I wish I could set it to default to semi-auto in the Gunsmith, though. I also prefer it in semi-auto, but it’s annoying to have to change it every time I load into a match.

Ace, can you mention the damage stats for hardcore in these gun guides? Im not asking for a ton of info, just wondering what the one-shot range is for hardcore and wheather you'd use it in hc or not. Love the content 👍
I may be dumb for asking this but does that firing delay happen every time you pull the trigger in semi auto? Or does it only apply to the first shot? How would that work?
Semi auto doesn't have the prefire delay, I was interested in testing this when I heard about it, and it actually replicates the real life function of the weapon almost properly. Semi auto fires from closed bolt, full auto fires from open. If you listen closely you can hear the difference between the trigger click noise and gun firing.
how does semi auto pre fire delay work with this gun? is it delay then fire out to til the end of the magazine or delay per shot? and under what circumstances does the delay reactivate?
Still don’t know why they implemented the open bolt delay mechanic in this game, imo it only brings frustration and not even doing anything good to overall weapon balancing
I run it semi auto and have enjoyed it immensely. I run it for speed, so majority of the attachments are for ADS and Sprint Out improvements. Might run the drill launcher for a bit of fun.

This gun is the new Meta for hardcore. 1 shot anywhere on the torso in full auto at any range. Flip to semi for 1 shot anywhere on the body when killing at range. Closest you could get before was the Karov 762 at around 47m range, and the RAAL LMG with a 1 shot anywhere but horrible handling.

And I got told to “chill” and was apparently exceptionally sweaty dropping an sae on the poor children playing Al bagra fortress, sorry other randoms I didn’t know it was that sweaty when I queued with it
For anybody still curious - this gun sucks in MW3. The recoil is horrendous and its damage model is increased to five shots to kill, which falls in line with other guns that have a faster fire rate and are far more accurate. That, and it's no longer forgiving. Lower body shots will lead to tons of hitmarkers, more than usual when compared to other battle rifles. It truly offers nothing of value.
This gun is ass dipped in dog water I'm just trying to level it up so I can put it away it makes the m16 grind feel like a walk in the park on a Sunday the only way I win gun fights with this is if my opponent wasn't looking or wasn't ready because if they are your cooked this gun looses almost any and every head on gun fight it feels like the f2000 anybody remember that bullshit ?
I can understand having an open bolt delay in full-auto mode, but it should switch to a closed bolt with no delay when in semi-auto. Otherwise, what's the point of using semi-auto and trying to land headshots if people are going to move by the time the gun actually fires?
Idk its just weird me or what. But by hearing my mouse clicking and how gunshot differently sync with it, I’m pretty sure semi auto prefire delay is a bit shorter than full auto.
I really dont think it has a delay when in semi - auto… Edit - can confirm Ace is flat out wrong. There is no fire delay when you switch to semi - maybe there was a patch?
As per usual the new guns are overpowered to encourage people to buy the battlepass or shop bundles. It's a rinse and repeat process.Been like this since MW2019 to my knowledge. Greedivision strikes again
Never understood why you do not include any pre fire delay in your ttk calculations. it 1000% affects the ttk because bullets do not come out yet so the moment you pull the trigger on another gun the ttk is factored but on pre fire delay guns the ttk doesnt stsrt yet because bullets do not exist.
@TheXclusiveAce: Can you make a video clip about testing the 4 vests? I'm confused when there were a player who wore a stealth vest got spotted by my uav tower, and about the comms vest, i don't know how does it work. For example: when it plays a 1 ping sound means the enemies is far, 2 ping means enemies getting closer and 3 ping means enemies is really close, and when the UAV tower is turned on, the comms vest didn't show the difference between player and bot, it just showed the same as Advaned UAV.
Im not too sure what you’re referring to. This sounds like something relating to Warzone and I don’t play that game at all so I know next to nothing about it
This is yet another example in this game of "Rifle is fine". It needs no attachments to be effective. I've got it almost maxed and the only thing I've put on it was a basic hipfire laser. Reminds me of using the RAAL but as a rifle instead of an LMG
Oh wow they give this gun forgiving maximum damage on the full torso but give standard weapons different upper and lower torso multipliers. I hope this upper/lower torso multiplier are removed or change to full torso in the next game ad Treyarch's.
Note for people trying to make a build for recoil control, i've found that horizontal recoil control attachments help a lot with both types of recoil whereas vertical ones seem to not help that much with neither, also, dunno if it's just me, but combs and rear grips seem to not help at all(?, like I fell when I put them they don't stack and/or negate the effects of the muzzle and foregrip, so, I recommend longest barrel, frac ripper and the muzzle that helps horizontal and vertical (in that order), then mag of choice and low zoom optic (I also feel long and mid ones buff the recoil somehow). Hope I helped if anyone disagrees or has different ideas/builds I would love to know. Take care y'all, and have fun
As a dmz player, this is my go to gun, simply because it gets a damage boost in semi auto fire. Full auto is a 3 shot down, semi auto is a 2 shot down. At range the semi auto is even more viable. This gun easily puts down any other weapon in the mode as long as you have decent gun skill and land your shots.
Was wondering about shotgun attachments, when using shotgun attachments can you get long shots with it and if so do they count toward the gun the attachment is on even though the meters for a long shot is different for shotguns versus the gun the attachment is on. for instance if I have a shotgun attachment on my sniper rifle do I need a 50 m shotgun hit for that to count as a long shot if not second question would be can I get a shotgun longshot meter hit (which I think is 15 m) and that count as a sniper rifle long shot because that's attachment is on my sniper rifle? I hope I'm being clear with the question

Though I've seen the intervention way more period. Because it makes people go into quick scope mode painfully quick. The annoyance and drop in my KD is real.
Just a quick complement:
1) The underbarrel drill has half the bullet drop of a underbarrel grenade launcher.
It messes things up for me, especially in HC. Some people use it like an AR.
Can the drill charge launcher be used on other guns? Or just this one?
I think IW are just outright giving all bullpups better sprint-out times, or at least it seems to be that way
New Anti Camp build now has 3 drill charges, oh baby.
Put on restock and you have infinite 😂
that initial kick gets me a headshot like 9 out of 10 times. already raked in 2600 kills with it so far. its op.
Do you think you could take another look at recoil smoothness? I can't be sure, but I swear that it makes some difference (although possibly negligible) now...
It definitely does. Just testing with a suppressor and without, the gun feels more accurate with it.
@@Latinblood59 yeah, I was testing it with the M4 and echoline--the recoil seemed to be brought down a just a bit.
@@gingerwitch64 yeah, it’s odd because when Ace does the testing, there’s no difference in recoil. So, I wonder if it only applies when shooting an actual target? Not sure
@@Latinblood59 it may have be a new change added/"patched" this season
Open bolt delay is a bummer, but I’ve been using this a lot since the new season started and while I like it, I don’t think it’s as good or versatile as the FTAC Recon, which is still my favorite primary in the game. It might be replacing the SO-14 and TAQ-V as the other battle rifle I mess around with when I want some variety. I wish I could set it to default to semi-auto in the Gunsmith, though. I also prefer it in semi-auto, but it’s annoying to have to change it every time I load into a match.
Leveled this gun up in like an hour, it fucking rips.
I seriously love this gun, it’s one of my favorites added into the game
It's like the pre patch TAQ-V but bullpup and cooler
Hey Ace, could you possibly do a video on the thermal scopes in this game? I think thermals work amazing on the new black gold map
Favstar did a great youtube video on thermals. Just search for it.
I have been subbed to you forever. Glad to see you made it.
I been playing cod since the original mw2 and man you and these knives only.. are my top favs
I'm not gonna lie I thought something felt off about this. I'm not that good but it just seemed like I was always shooting being the person I'm aiming at. Still a fun weapon to us but definitely not the best
Now all we need is a backpack belt fed LMG with a healthy 400 rounds.
This gun reminds me of the bal 27 obsidian steed from AW. Very similar iron sights and stats
Just not as fast firing as the Obsidian Steed nor as quick on the mobility overall but I agree, pretty comparable
Ace, can you mention the damage stats for hardcore in these gun guides? Im not asking for a ton of info, just wondering what the one-shot range is for hardcore and wheather you'd use it in hc or not. Love the content 👍
Huh, I thought this gun wouldn't have a prefire delay in semi since its a closed bolt hybrid
I may be dumb for asking this but does that firing delay happen every time you pull the trigger in semi auto? Or does it only apply to the first shot? How would that work?
It's the first round as long as you don't stop for a long time
not dumb, was about to ask the same thing! If every shot in semi mode has the 45ms delay, I don't see how it could be viable in semiauto...
@@habijjj how long are you able to stop shooting for before it applies again? Feel like that’s a bad grey area
@@johky I think it resets after 1-2 seconds after shooting continuously
This seems to be CODs version of my KelTec RFB
With the 50 round drum I wonder how this compares to the SO-14 as a streak melter
This gun was a pain to get longshots with that recoil even with a sakin tread 40 and lockgrip combo is crazy
That's the gun who lost to SIG Spear as the new standard issued rifle for US army. Good to see it being revived here.
They should’ve modeled it with the weird plastic case ammo it uses
@@bradenmchenry995 What do you think the composite ammo type is?
In full auto, it's basically a better handling RAAL with less ammo. It's crazy.
For a two shot kill in semi auto shouldn't you add the pre-fire delay twice? That would make a significant difference here.
@@johntravoltage959 That's really interesting, thanks.
It's annoying the underbarrel drill isn't available on all assault rifles which can take the regular undebarrel fumpf
how does semi auto pre fire delay work with this gun?
is it delay then fire out to til the end of the magazine or delay per shot?
and under what circumstances does the delay reactivate?
Wonder when they're gonna fix the bug causing it to show we're always getting 1ms to 2ms ping
(Cronen Squall Camo Bugged)
The Polyatomic camo: get 25 HEADSHOT
Not tracking, awaiting Fix from upcoming update. Tried everything! Alot of people have this problem.
Mind you I have Unlocked ORION MASTERY CAMO ALREADY.😊
Love the gun, but I just can't get the hang of that open-bolt delay.
You missed a unique muzzle attachment, which is a suppressor.
This thing slaps in search, which I never play I queued quick play for all cause I was bent about getting into 6v6 ground wars repeatedly so I just said I’ll send it and sit out whatever happens and got search. And I got told to “chill” and was apparently exceptionally sweaty dropping an sae on the poor children playing Al bagra fortress, sorry other randoms I didn’t know it was that sweaty when I queued with it
Great content as usual!! Just wondering if you have any updates on in game settings like controller etc
I do like this gun but as with a lot of the LMG's the open bolt delay can mess with you a bit.
Are you going to make a video talking about the nerf to lasers?
I can understand having an open bolt delay in full-auto mode, but it should switch to a closed bolt with no delay when in semi-auto. Otherwise, what's the point of using semi-auto and trying to land headshots if people are going to move by the time the gun actually fires?
Idk its just weird me or what. But by hearing my mouse clicking and how gunshot differently sync with it, I’m pretty sure semi auto prefire delay is a bit shorter than full auto.
I so desperately want to use the under barrel drill charge with semi-auto fire. PLEASE MW2, PLEASE.
They need to remove that pre fire delay. There's no reason for it to act like an open bolt gun.
The real gun fires from an open bolt in full auto and a closed one in semi.
@@griffinfaulkner3514 Nvm then
thanks for the mentioning the pre-fire delay. my friends and i just couldn't figure out what felt off about this gun, and that's it, 100%
I really dont think it has a delay when in semi - auto…
Edit - can confirm Ace is flat out wrong. There is no fire delay when you switch to semi - maybe there was a patch?
This thing is definitely gonna catch some sort of nerf
FYI the real gun is called the NGSW rifle made by General Dynamics and it shoots the same caliber in game (6.8)
A underbarrel doesnt hurt any of your weapon's handling, but a small muzzle compensater will increase 40ms ads time lmao
I despise the ultra realism that call ofduty is doing. Open bolt delay, bullet travel and weak arms of the characters are starting to piss me off.
The Squall is the RM277 yeah? Kinda funny we got it in 2042 and now in a short time span KEK.
It’s definitely good at disabling the tact sprint that’s for sure.
Honestly I didn't notice the delay because the servers have been struggling and thought it was just broken netcode lmao
From a logical stand point bullpups should have the best handling stats, but lower accuracy.
All those kills when stats aren't currently being tracked , hard to work on 1000 kills when it isn't tracked
As per usual the new guns are overpowered to encourage people to buy the battlepass or shop bundles. It's a rinse and repeat process.Been like this since MW2019 to my knowledge.
Greedivision strikes again
I can't wait to pair my drill launcher up with drill charges. Ulitmate hardpoint clearing setup.
Platinum kills still don’t count toward the 200 kills for the achievement.
This sounds like something relating to Warzone and I don’t play that game at all so I know next to nothing about it
I think it'd be interesting to have a meta where battle rifles or marksman rifles are the best, instead of ar's and smg's
They brought back the Enfield from black ops 1 :D
How activate battle pass on playstation? Square button don't activate it.
This is yet another example in this game of "Rifle is fine". It needs no attachments to be effective. I've got it almost maxed and the only thing I've put on it was a basic hipfire laser. Reminds me of using the RAAL but as a rifle instead of an LMG
I just know they're gonna nerf it come mid-patch for no reason
is anyone else getting a bug where the polyatomic progress isn’t tracking
Oh wow they give this gun forgiving maximum damage on the full torso but give standard weapons different upper and lower torso multipliers.
I hope this upper/lower torso multiplier are removed or change to full torso in the next game ad Treyarch's.
Anyone else having issues with headshots counting for camo unlocks
I was waiting for this video since I unlocked it today so thank you 🙏❤️
As a dmz player, this is my go to gun, simply because it gets a damage boost in semi auto fire.
I hope I'm being clear with the question
what's the best assault rifle in Modern Warfare 2?!.
I didn't even notice the gun had a dally before watching the video 😂
So that's why something seemed so off. There's a fire delay.
