John, I missed the live stream.. Have you ever seen or played a Mike Long 18 or 28 or a Gary Cotten 18 or 28? I used to own a Long HD28 and it was killer.. similar to Tony Wray's Long 28.
They are quite similar but Here are the main differences: The E1SP's will have a higher quality figuring than the ones on the Deluxe models. Then the Deluxe models come with a pickup whereas the E1SP's do not. Except the OMCE-SP, but that one has a Sonitone and the Deluxe models all have the Prysis. Then the most important thing to note is that the Specials are still a limited model but the Deluxes are a new standard series. Tone wise the Specials and the Deluxes are quite similar, it's almost a matter of if the buyer cares more about the looks of the Special or the pickup option on the Deluxe. But the E6D still has a classic Mahogany sound, Sapele can get close but it just isn't quite the same. The Deluxes and Specials are a bit brighter.
@@AcousticShoppe 😂😂 definitely that’s an amazing guitar. Not a criticism just thought I would point it out. Love your guys channel and all your content you put out.
The tone on that SC TR Pro is killer.. great balance and articulation.. That's a great bluegrass guitar.

What's the difference between a E1 deluxe and a E1 special? Sound? appointments? How do they compare to a E6D?

I think you guys got the title wrong! Those were definitely not Breedlove guitars.
We were supposed to show off the Breedlove.. But hey, it's hard to put down the Tony Rice Dread!
