Not for once was Mr. Shourie interrupted which has become the most disturbing yet absolutely unavoidable phenomenon of now a days interview. I could actually listen to the breathing of them in between the questions and answers. Hence, Mr. Shourie could answer in such soothing manner. Very enlightening to learn from him and kudos to the interviewer for such well planned interview questions...
Don't get mislead by the smoothness. He is the most power hungry politician I have come across. As soon as BJP got full majority in 2014 elections he bought new dress to take PRAMAN VACHAN as minister. But see now who are his friends and what are his activities.
Arun Shourie is incomparable in boldness and scholarly dissertation. Supreme Court is nowadays supreme only in shamelessly surrendering to the Government. It didn’t cringe so much even during Emergency. SC , by its arrogance and stupidity in taking up Prashant Bhushan contempt case, has brought public focus to its functioning. People were criticising SC in muffled voices so far, now they are doing so openly,clearly and loudly. Currently, SC shows no dignity,self-respect,backbone,independence or legality. It can be a defining moment against SC, and NM government. My humblest regards to Arun Shourie ji.

We are very much thankful to Mr. Arun Shourie for giving his excellent and incisive views on this subject. He more or less echoed the thoughts and views of millions of other Indian country men. I do remember Mr. Arun shourie from the days he was the Chief Editor of the Indian Express English daily. He was one of the most reputed Ministers in the Vajpayee Ji Cabinet also. He is a man of very high integrity and high intellectual. He is a very towering figure compared to these dwarfs in the present PM regime. Now coming to the point, it all boils down to nothing but making a mountain out of a mole hill. It was just a simple Tweet from Mr. P.Bhushan and there is nothing serious to bring disrepute to the supreme court CJI . In fact the picture of the CJI sitting on a motor byke does not seem to have been taken anywhere inside any Court premises or so. If this does not amount to free speech then what does free speech ever mean. And how the hell can this amount to comtempt of Court. If this comment in a twitter is a case for Contempt of Court, how the hell does the supreme court completely and conveniently forgets the act of the Supreme court lady employee who had levelled false charges of sexual harassment against the Supreme court Judge himself and also the case of the supreme court Judges 4 of them coming out in revolt against the Supreme Court itself. Why were these, not made out to be a cases of comtempt of Court? What is sauce to the geese has to be sause to the Gander also. The supreme Court’s treatment against Mr. Prashanth is most bizzare and ridiculous. More and more people should come out to voice their concern and show strength of solidarity.

It is pity that the legal community in India did not utter a single word against Sampath Kumar vs Union of India 1986. P.P.Rao strongly supported the judgment. The judgment survived for a decade.. it negated the Doctrine of Basic Structure, judicial history and every facet of Law.

The likes of Arun Mishras, reveal one very pertinent questions about the quality of " merit" in the Supreme Court of the country ! How are we to judge "merit "? Who will judge "merit" ? The hue and cry raised by the judges in the Supreme Court on the question of " merit " in respect of reservations for the SCs/ STs/ OBCs is hollow, when we the citizens of this country confront the whims and fancies of judges like Mishras and Gogois and others like them. Does the whims of Arun Mishras in any way reflect their MERIT ?
Judges, police and army people- these 3 categories have immense power at their disposal. They must be controlled well but are not. At least, the first two are out of control and the third is treated as the holy cow.
“Appointment of Judges in High Courts and Supreme Court should be limited to One Year only”. And should make such laws to not allow them to make ego clashes in between the Advocates and other Constitutional functionaries. More over there should be a restriction for them in making decisions on the basis the Question of Law only. And not according their Whims and Fancies or for their cheep popularities. If it goes beyond what they are bound should be criticized and proper steps need to be taken against such arrogant Judges through People’s Court if Government does not take steps. Peoples' will are the strongest power in Democracy. I support Mr. Prashant Bhushan. I do not think that Judges have some impunity. What Mr. Prashant Bhushan has done the right thing where others do not dare. Most of the present Judgments from the Supreme courts are not on the basis of Natural Justice or on Law. It can be seen in Ayodhya Case. Demolishing of Flats in Kerala. Due to the demolition who is the most sufferers; only the common people, who spent their hard earned money for their dream Houses. What was really gained out of this demolition process? Only for cheap Popularity Hundreds of lay men were becomes the Victims of these Blunders. The Court should have punished the actual conspirators for life time and those who given approvals instead of punishing the poor lay men. Decisions must “not only be fair but it seemed to be fair” also. “Power Corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” We afraid the lack of applying Judicial mind in matters of controversies in most of the present Decisions of the apex Court are dangerous. These realities attracts the non-confidence of people in Courts. Very shameful
What is missing in high office is probity or a sense of decorum and fair play. Everyone has become brazen and shameless. Why? The example for such conduct comes from the highest chair. So everywhere people in high positions have shut their eyes and ears to the people. Another major factor is absence of a strong impartial media. TV channels are showing a circus.
Justice must not only be done but also must be seen to be done......alas in our country judiciary has failed it's people....the last hope of a better democracy is almost over

Mr Arun Showrie is a very learned man. All his ideas are for 'what is happening and what should be done' ....but nothing about why this is happening so? The answer to this is Prashant Bhushan charge. That is why he is targeted and trying to make him quite by few men from political parties, executives, industrialist who are pumping in money and judiciary. Judgments go according to the written laws. Not according to the fancy ideas of judges. If any ambiguity in judgments look into the loopholes of the laws. A judge can not bypass the arguments of the Lawers.
