Wow! I've been to Ouray several times, but never knew about this. What a fabulous thing to do for the people who can do it. Stuck in Oakland CA but your videos are a Godsend. They take me to places I can't get to any more physically. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks for Ouray trek...really exciting! Drove the Million Dollar Hwy 25 yrs ago or so in the autumn- what an incredible drive! This past Sunday (May 31st), I went to Del Water Gap NRA with my friend Nancy on the NJ side but all park lots were full & rd up north was blocked by nat'l Park rangers so had to go back to Pa & did walk along beautiful lake near Kittatinny ridge ( Blue ridge ); here's the upshot. Nancy went back to DWGNRA on Monday for a drive on Old Mine Rd & saw 9 bear! Two momma bears with 2 cubs each & 3 solitary bears! I missed out! See sent me a short video of 2 cubs crossing the road. I gave her the trail name of 'Nanc-E 9 Bears.' Dang it! Anyway, while you did your thing out west, I was doing the east coast equivalent of enjoying the outdoors (alas, less the bears). Thanks as always...
Dang - I'm just down stream below the power station and didn't know about this until this video. I'll walk up there in the morning and have a peek. I hate to be a snob but it's "You-Ray", with most locals putting an emphasis on the second syllable. Great video and thanks for promoting our fine little town.
Hi there. There is a gate at the start of the route. It opens at 8. It doesn't matter if you have a guide or not. You want to be there at 8 for sure. You can end up behind a lot of groups later in the day. It is important to follow the rules. We would not want to lose access to this wonderful trip. I too wish it opened earlier. Take care and have a safe trip, it's awesome. Thank you for watching and the note.
I was going to say I love this place but I couldn’t figure out how I missed the river crossing...I was thinking about Telluride. Awesome they have one at Ouray too. Absolutely have to check this out. Thanks for the video.
Looks like you've shown the complete info to this scenic climbing area. Great video. I thought this was your best footage yet. I'm very interested in giving it a go. Thanks Dana.
It's pronounced yur-A NOT O-ray or ooo-Ray or ewe-ray..... kills me people can not get the name right... and yes I am from the area so I think I would know.
Excellent briefing. It did, however, convince me that I'm not up for it. That probably makes your presentation just as valuable. Thanks
Thanks for watching. It's a very fun trip.
Thank you for sharing your adventure!
Your ray.
🌞
I know. I apologize. Thanks for watching.

It is a lot of fun. I have been corrected on pronunciation and will remember it. Thanks. Have fun.
What timing!! I hope you had a great time on it! We did!
Definitely a huge hat off to all of the men and women that set this gem up!
It was great!
The locals pronounce it “you-ray” with emphasis on the “you”
I have heard that more than once. Thank you for the correction and for watching. Stay safe.
It says open at 8...do you think we can start earlier if we choose to not have a guide!? Thanks for the video!!

Thanks! Got there early before 8 and waited for the gate to open! Super fun. We were the first ones on the VF 🤙🏽
Nice, Good job Dana.... keep enjoying adventure after adventure... you guys have fun... Stay Safe!!
I appreciate the climbing and hiking, but I prefer the fine ales, food and hot, soaking pools. Need to go again soon. Great town!
A very nice place!

So much to do, so little time. Great overview!

Thank you JC. Others have made the same comment. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Thanks for watching.
What a cool hike/climb! I need to build up my stamina because I really want to go.
And you should! So fun.
for some one who "goes" to the ice park-how can you get it so wrong? Your-ray!!!
I know. I promise to never say that again! Thanks for watching.
Fantastic video! How would you rate the difficulty and safety versus the Telluride Via Ferrata?
I think it is safer. A little more climbing up and down but not any harder. Thanks for watching.
Looks like a total hoot.
It surely is!
Your-ay
Got it!
