I enjoy her books a lot. I find it hard though to stay focused when listening to someone read a sermon or read a "talk". I understand some speakers need notes to stay on track but it feels like every word she says is scripted.
Okay so is it less scripted if it is memorized? Like actors in a movie? Of course, it is scripted. It is a thoughtful talk versus what I hear many extemporaneous speakers do which is talk themselves in circles.
This is so good. Taylor's words are soothing and she has crafted another beautiful sermon.
I have always found the most frustrating thing about church is human bings. Glad to hear someone else agrees.
Needed words for many folks. Bless Barbara Brown Taylor.
I have been chewing on the book for a few years ~ LOVE the window to it via this clip. Thanks!
She is probably the most "wlth it" speaker i have heard in years. Great personality. Both books, sermons and in person, this is a real person.

I think it's ironic that I'm one of those millennials and I'm watching this sermon on my cell phone in 2020.
What a wonderful laugh!

Ok please explain to me why is she famous for preaching.
Gloria Williams This isn't a sermon, but a "forum talk" on a prescribed topic. Her sermons are 10-15 minutes and are indeed, amazing.
