Ioniq 5 N condition after two laps in a row of Nurburgring was fine while other EV competitors fails in one lap.
other EV competitiors fails and couldn't drive even one lap. lol
as an EV. Even old diesel sleeper can run two-three laps in a row

I think the Ioniq5 N was quicker on the track than the Model S plaid.
Hyundai have been going insane these past few years. The N cars are straight bangers, and even the base models of those cars, especially the Ionic 5 are really cool.
As a jet engine mechanic for the Navy, the "boom" was intended to simulate the afterburners. It is the aft section of the engine adding fuel and compression for a second burn of the air traveling through the engine. The sound is the second burn. Highly inefficient so only happens for a few seconds, but can add 50% or more thrust. Now I am a landscape photographer as well, and your have created some nice work with this photoshoot. Sounds and looks like you had a ton of fun!
That boom on the “Jet” sound is simulating a sonic boom when the sound barrier is broken, I think.

Dude, the shots with the dust from the dirt road are INSANE! I love the Ioniq 5 so much as a design. I know it's not for everyone but any time I see it out and about I can't help but think it's got a bunch of character. And the N version is even more sick, especially in that colorway. Also, the booms you were hearing for the "jet" sound is supposed to be it breaking the sound barrier. A sonic boom you'd get from a real jet, though it's kinda goofy in a car 😅
This car is sick. I've loved the look of the regular Ionic 5 since day one and this looks even better. Definitely the only EV that really makes me consider potentially owning one like this some day. Great video my guy 💯
The man who pulled the strings at Hyundai until I think 2021 and gave us the i30N and i20N in Europe was the former boss of BMW, Albert Biermann. He often appeared on a large German car UA-cam channel, with these videos you quickly realized that the guy wants to give you the most fun car, whether with ICE or electric
He wasn't the Boss of BMW, but he was the man in charge of M division. So he was behind Hyundai's N and many of BMW's M models and he even worked on the legendary E30 M3 group A.
With the Veloster N, Kona N and G70 being discontinued, the Elantra N, Kia EV6 and this Ioniq 5 will be the last vehicles that Biermann personally had a hand in designing. Hopefully his influence lives on at Hyundai/Kia for years to come, but we all saw how quickly BMW M pivoted in a completely different direction after his departure.
Credit goes where it is due. He lead a transformation but also noticeably during his era of engineering renaissance the plague of technical issues came in.
I just recently picked up an I20N Performance, and if there was ever a car to make me want to switch to electric it would be this Ioniq 5 N. Hyundai are on fire atm!🔥

I enjoy ICE sounds, I mean I purchased a Borla exhaust for my Kona N. That said, I would 100% give it up for the EV performance benefits.

What filter are you using on the 70-200?
I got a k&f cpl for my 70-200 GM II and when I take a photo and zoom in it’s not sharp.. I remove the filter and it’s fine. But I shoot mainly cars so I need a CPL
In situations like that the only real solution is to throw some money at it and get better glass. I really like the PolarPro ones.

It’s going to be interesting what the Rivian R3X brings. I like the comeback of all these hatchbacks. And it’s going to use the NACS connector which Hyundai will be using for 2025 in the US, which will make it even better.

It should be 640 at normal and 680 at boost but other than that… it’s phenomenal.

There are 8 exhaust speakers and 2 internal speakers, and it is possible to turn off the external and internal speakers separately, like a smartphone

Hyundai's N division is totally cracked up. My friend's dad got himself a Kona N and I got to shoot it and ride along in it. This thing is a small crossover fed with white powder ngl.
