  • Merry Christmas my fellow Banksians!! This year I bring you an interview with Tony for the Atlantic Records Interview Disc Series to promote 'Bankstatement'. Within this interview, Tony discusses the creation of tracks on 'Bankstatement', ("Throwback", "I'll be Waiting", "Queen of Darkness", "That Night", "Raincloud", "The Border", "Big Man"). He gives a pretty interesting and humourous look at the creation of those tracks.
I stumbled across this disc a few years ago on eBay and purchased it but the seller had yet to update their inventory and had already parted ways with it. It took me a few years to find another copy but FINALLY, I located one and managed to extract the interview with Tony to share with the world...I hope you all enjoy this.
I'm pleased to have tracked this interview down and added it to the archives. It was taken from a promotional CD titled, 'WEA Promotional Compact Disc Volume 33 January 1990'. For further information on said disc: www.discogs.co...

Happy Holidays! I wish he would have put out the full version of "The Border" on "A Chord Too Far".

Wondering what happened to the 7 tracks that didn't make it on the album? This is the first time I have ever heard that from Tony. There are a few tracks on this record that are poignant and impactful during this time period of my life. "Meaning" is always a word I prescribe to his music and lyrics. I think he prides himself on giving listeners that. Thanks and Merry Christmas today.
