5:49 The reason why Nijisanji’s booth or Nijisanji in general has failed was because of their legal battle and abuse towards DokiBird formerly known as Selen Tatsuki. Basically Selen was making many events for the fans and her members, but the management kept turning down or canceling her events. This made Selen waste 200k with nothing in return, which led her to commit self-harm and rush to the hospital. Every PR control that Niji is doing to defend themselves keeps getting uglier or worse by a minute that caused their stocks to fall down and lose many fans in the process.

@@EvilAnikiYah, I just decided to skip the petree hall line for the atlus panel on Friday bc waiting in the sun for an hr and a half even under the canopy they had was just too much
I was at AX and while i was looking at a booth in artist alley, a dude that looked like the "lawyer" accompanied by a chick walked up to the vendor and handed out one of those notices. He informed them that they would be back within the hour to check if the "illegal" merch had been removed. It was fanart, btw. So when the dude says on twitter that he only went after people in exhibitors hall, thats a lie.

I started a reddit thread to learn about people's experience with the latest autograph system and got to learn the pros and cons from long time congoers. My post was also leaning on the dark side of things like this video because my main point of discussion was about scalpers continuing to scalp according to a twitter thread I found. In that thread I also got to learn about an ADA attendee's unfortunate experience with the Ryoko Kui autograph session. It seemed like a mix of AX and individual guest's oversight on ADA attendees. The autograph system this year has improved on some parts but still has a long way to go
very cool. yeah, i saw some twitter threads about it too, i dont use reddit though. I am friends with one of the funko signature resellers that everyone hates. Its a rough world out there and people gotta do what they gotta do sadly.
Filian's model isn't custom, so she never owned the copyright to it, she only had usage rights, same as probably a thousand other people who use that same model
Copyright infringement letters that were sent were fakes. Viz did not send any letter out officially. It’s a scam that has been done multiple times before
Realistically, any huge communities bound to have dramas here and there and thats actually common even if people dont like them but oh well, people still gonna be people I guess.
If you never went to a con in the early 2000's then that's fine but drama has always been a part of anime conventions Con horror stories were super popular to share around on forums when we didn't had social media.
I'm the one who asked about which gate to enter for a Petree Hall morning panel but what ended up happening is that despite arriving there around 7ish the Max Gate line was soo long that it ended up near South Hall (according to my friend). They would not let him line up for Max Gate at that point. We ended up waiting at the Kisegi Gate line which stretched around the Crypto Arena but it wasn't so bad because the line would start moving at 8 AM. Secured a spot in that Petree Hall line with no problem, just had to go through the normal West Hall entrance intead of the original staircase. The most confusing line was probably Day 1 because everyone was lining up for opening hour. Of course the lines were let in pretty smoothly but for me I had a first come first serve mission for one of the Exhibit Hall booths so trying to figure out the Day 1 South Hall lines was pretty nerve wrecking. There was like NO line regulation for the Mahoko gate which everyone wants to go through so I hope something is done about that because there were many moments of the biggest line branching off into other lines
yeah opening day is always a little chaotic, personally i got there 830-930 everyday and was just able to walk right in and made it to 3 main event panels as the first panel each day no problem. sadge to hear some of the gates had problems though.
For me, the worst part of AX2024 was the GoH Day 2 Standby cutoff incident (where standby autograph tickets were completely refused by staff due to too many priority tickets being handed out for Day 2). Other than that, AX2024 was definitely an improvement from last year in regards to crowd control and exhibit hall layout (although I wish there were more unique vendors).
dang that sucks, yeah the GoH this year went hard. Last years GoH Acky Bright, his panel wasnt even full. I didnt get to go to his panels this year, he had way more of them. I really wanted dungeon meshi signature but she sold out so fast. even her offsite events sold out ;__;
Saturday night at the westin rooftop party there was a guy who started a fight that was probably on drugs was pinned down for 10 minutes till hotel security came cuffed and dragged him out i have videos
@EvilAniki He was an attendee. Someone on reddit confirmed that the crazed dude is his co-worker and they had went to AX together that weekend. Furthermore, a lady stated that he was talking to the dude at Lounge 21 and felt weird vibes off him in the same reddit thread.

11:18 agree its feel like queen bee make a bonus episode of hen with a tie. I get it somepeople would like to see it get animated but i recomend read it
very true, ive been contemplating making a con etiquette type video cause of the recent drama with the youtuber/cosplayer consent issues that popped up.
My two friends were the ones who recorded the video of what happened in the lobby. There’s a whole separate part that happened before that makes the story even crazier 💀
We had a bottle of vodka and at first the dude was chill and we offered him a shot. He then took the bottle and started downing it and we were chanting for him. Next thing you know he starts pressing my other friends saying something about his mom or whatever and my friend kinda made a comment back that he wasn’t to happy about so he started grabbing his shirt like trying to start something so we had to pull him off and break it up. Right after that is when he went into the lobby and when my other friend (who took the video) came back he was like “WE JUST SAW SOME DUDE GETTING BEAT UP IN THE LOBBY” and my first thought was. Holy shit no way it was that same dude. And it was 😭
Wow! Never heard of that drunk fight 🥶🥶🥶 As for "Plus-sized Elf," it's definitely following the model of "How Heavy are your Dumbbells?" and the purpose of the second half (yes, it is half of the episode) is to give more education. Now, the education is kind of bad and potentially harmful. I don't mind the show, but, if you follow the "advice" from the show, you're in for some problems.
Some of these instances I heard about while we were there, but a lot of them are new. By all accounts this was one of the better ran AXs in recent years. This was my first time attending and I was prepared for a nightmare and it ended up being the smoothest con I’ve attended since 2019. Even getting autographs wasn’t that bad, I preferred the ticketed system vs the situation from past years where people who weren’t attending were able to secure autograph tickets and scalp them for those who were attending. After attending this year, I’m excited for next year and have already committed to going.
@@EvilAniki I would be happy with an extra day since it seems to be ran over a holiday weekend. Heck Thursday through Monday would be great. We traveled cross country and I felt like the days flew by. It would definitely be cool if there were ever a two weekend event starting Friday, ending the Sunday after the next. That would free up days for people who are visiting LA to travel around to other destinations and enjoy the vacation.
@@justinb998 yeah my idea for a perfect expo would be like friday-sun two weeks in a row, with artist alley and vendors swapping out between the weekends, changes it from a 4 day event to a 6 day event and it would give room for smaller events to happen during that week. i think my big issue with AX is that there were so many extra events friday and saturday around LA I would have loved to go to but couldnt make it cause of AX. i think going with this strategy would be a real boon to the local economy and like you said would give people time to see LA or california, the only downside being is hotel prices are so crazy, but if its a two week event maybe they could get further hotels with shuttles so its not so bad. i honestly didnt mind the crowd sizes this year, so i think with ax crossing they could increase the ticket caps as well
@@EvilAniki I like it solely based off the fact that I realized over the weekend, looking at some of the vlogs, just how many things I didn’t see at AX. My wife collects art and she only made it through half of artists alley simply because of the sheer volume of things to see. I wholeheartedly agree with you that it could be a positive for the local economy. Even if you don’t have people stay for the entire duration of AX, having the second weekend filled with big events still provides the people who visit the second half with a things to see, whilst not robbing either weekend of interesting things to see.
This year was much better than the last 2 years for sure, but lots of room for improvement. I was at the Nikke meetup and am in the vid somewhere lol The organizer thought it would be a much smaller meetup, and the crowd got so big that it was blocking the doors (hence security saying they would shut it down due to it being a fire hazard).
yeah, raz does did the nikke meet up last year and the ALA meetup earlier this year for nikke. I believe he also does the hololive meetups as well. hosting a meetup must be stressful. i went to a panty and stocking meetup at ax last year and no panty and stocking cosplayers showed up, only side characters and they didnt have any photographers.
yeah its kinda crazy, I personally would love to see some of the japanese companies pull away to other events like anime los angeles and so on. I feel like Anime Expo is just too big
I’ve been to AX and LACC and can say security sucks at both, you get a mix of fun security people who are fair and power tripping security, the placement of gatherings, tables, exhibits never make sense or take advantage of the space. I love both of those cons but with how easy and smooth San Diego comic con does it I hate to downgrade when I go to these cons
ive only been to sdcc once and i had to work the event for tv guide magazine, they would rent a yacht and shuttle celebrities over to do photoshoots and interviews and it was so rough, like 20 hour days, it was very traumatizing for me.
@@EvilAniki oh I’ll bet, especially if you are dealing with celebs they put the pressure of “you fucked up and gave Tom holland a sparkling water from Perrier and not La Croix? Our reputation is ruined”
I'm a little hesitant on attending LACC again because the last time I attended, I fell, entering the exhibit Hall as I was in my Female V cosplay and people were just walking past me, no help. Luckily, security was nice enough to help me up to my feet the first time. The second time I fell, they didn't really help as much, but a bystander stopped and offered to help me up which was very kind of him. Looking back, I joke about it where I was like V where I was having a relic malfunction, but it still sucked.

@@unknownfrequency7024 Thanks choom, I truly appreciate it. I may want to go this year, but it'll be cutting it close to Anime Pasadena as I'll be attending that one in November, especially when I have arrangements for a rescheduled photoshoot at that con. I had it during AX, but because of how intense the heat was, and the fact my Female V cosplay is not summer friendly, it got cut short because I got heat stroke and almost died. Luckily, I am okay now, but can't really do cons in the summer anymore because of how sensitive I am to the heat now. D:
My friend and I walked out of the Pluse Sized Elf premiere. It was terrible... Not impressed, felt robbed, and it felt like a massive waste of time after the first 12 minutes. That show will get canceled soon and HieDive needs to reevaluate their choices or I.P.s to bring on board for their company. Cause this is is gonna brun them down 😂
I have a story during AX2024 and it was during the night 4th of July. I was walking with my brother away from the con back to our car to the parking garage and as we were walking heard an explosion We saw a security men on the ground bleeding with his eyes fucked and the floor around covered in pool of blood. He was begging is life to call his mom but a luckily there was another security man calling for ambulance. There was 4 witnesses that night which was my brother, me, a white tall men and black security men. There's 2 things that coulda happen. He was either 1. Dumb enough to start a fireworks (which I doubt it) or 2. Someone started the fireworks and ran from the scene that night. But I don't know whether the guy lived that night, but I was left scarred that night. Only the doctors could saved him hoping that he's okay.
Been going to anime expo since 2009 it gets bad every single year along with getting expensive ive kinda stopped going cus of it the JW marriot stuff should be part of AX cus i know thats AX's best selling hotel for the convention its extreamly hard to snag up ive not really had any issues going to the pannel rooms the panel rooms are usually staffed by JW security and anime expo staff. I do know theres always loads of miss communication between the two especially for lines.
JW Capacity: 2592 Rough but there's only 2-3 people controlling that entire line and Access Control had their department stretched thin Even with a clicker with the heat and long days brain fog makes you lose count like 5-10 ppl in You can announce the line is capped by people will still crowd around hoping to jump in when they feel it will open up. It creates issues in popular booths like hoyoverse and artists alley. Unfortunately there is just not enough space nor manpower to have better lines but maybe the LACC expansion will change that or a change of venue
It is perfectly fine in the artist alley, but these notices were handed out in a different area, exhibitors hall or something like that, that has very clear rules about not selling fanart/merch without a license. The artist alley is for individuals the other hall is for retailers, i.e a legally run business selling copyrighted material. The people that got hit with notices knew they weren't allowed to sell the merch and did it anyway. This also isn't new; it happens every year and the companies doing it are always different.
@@citizenspaghetti Wouldn't they be getting in trouble with the organizer then, not with Viz or IP holders directly? Since the problem is that they aren't selling in the designated area (either because their application was denied, it was already full, or they didn't want to pay for a booth)
@TachibanaTengoku Yeah, the most that will happen is the event telling them they can't set up their booth again for the rest of the event. I have never heard of these actually going to court. There may be other penalties if u are a repeat offender from previous years like a fine or getting future applications denied, but I'm not 100% on that.
15:49 was this ticketed event? if it was then the panel room would have been cleared. if not, people were camping out by going to the panels before it and if the room doesnt clear they basically get to entrance to the next one without waiting outside it. its a hit or miss but i get the impression that most people just showed up near the start time and were not aware that they had to get their earlier. i do agree they should have distributed tickets online for free just so to avoid the crowd and the larger crowd of people that had to wait yet still couldnt get inside. a similar thing happened at the nove theater for ironmouse. it had capacity but it was not ticketed, just first come first serve. the line wrapped around the entire block towards the shuttle area behind the ritz and peacock theater. i think most people who wanted to go got inside but there were quite a few that didn't. it was literally inside a theater so to not provide a ticket to make sure its not over capacity is kinda dumb. overwall, AX was much better run this year. not perfect but i cant tell you how many years ive been going to AX and was disappointed in how events and parts of the con were run but for this year it did way more good than they did wrong. there's going to be a lot of people that cant be avoided but it was managed properly at least.
it wasnt a ticketed event, but it was an 18+ event so they had to clear the room prior. The premiere was great, they gave out free poster cards. animation was good as well.
It was in Anime Expo's rules when applying to be an exhibitor that they were not allowed to sell any fanart and it all had to be the artist's original characters. This warning was not given to anyone in artist alley cause its obviously going to be all fanart. It's 100% the exhibitor's fault for not reading the rules carefully
I never go to Anime Expo or Anime Con or whatever but I planned to go someday. So what should I expect from it ? Are these issues from this video will be common in most of Anime Con and Anime Expo ? 😅
each con has their own issues, large and small. But yeah AX has the most drama every year, Anime Los Angeles is pretty chill, I highly recommend that one as a first-time con goer. LA Comic Con isn't that bad either.
8:00 for real as someone who sells stuff, I DO NOT USE any artist that isn't willing to sell the copyrights. I pay the premium on all my art so I can sell it on whatever I want. If I pay for something it's mine so the idea of paying for a service and not being able to own it is wild to me. I was one of the ones super against Games going digital because you have less rights to it then when you bought the physical copy but times changed and now you don't really have a choice. But if I'm left with no choice, Oh Well. At least with Art and models there are many artists, especially on fiver that sell the rights and source files making all art yours. It's mainly twt artists that aren't willing to let go of anything they draw period ever. They lose out when it comes to business art. if I ever do Vtuber stuff I'm def going to use someone who will sell me the source files and all character rights.
Because Filian only got it from one of her staff, I'm not dissing her intelligence that she can't possibly ripped a model, it's just that it seems she's too busy to even do that. How did I know? She asked one of her mods if she can use the model for streaming. She publicly showed the conversation.
If you over in the photog area. The staples security was being fu**ing ass wholes to people trying to take photos. There’s a section up some stairs and me and my friends were getting ready to take photos for Fate Series and a security guard came by and said we had to leave when there was no problem. This happened on Saturday. This even happened on Friday security told a whole lot of people in the photog area they had had to leave. Everyone was pissed. AX security had to tell them to f**k off. Since we were allowed to use it.
they also seeminly hosed the whole area off later durring the nights and kept moving the metal fences around it seemed. i think the crypto arena staff are just fed up with ax staff, not sure if they are the same or not.
as a security officer, its highly likely the officers were just misinformed or misunderstood their directions and were looking for a specific type of badge, and didn't know about other types. If that were the case, def 100% that security company's fault
The clicking idea with the clicker sounds like it will fail big time. You know how many people cut queue all the time or have people line up for them? It's an idea but I think there needs to be a better way
they had a person doing a clicker. They just couldn't confirm the number of open seats in the room so it was just guesting the cutoff point, I got told like 3 times that i might not/prolly wouldnt get in. Maybe like a deli/DMV ticket system where you come and get a ticket with a number and that's your chair would be a better system.
Great year. Kinda sad it felt smaller. But so much fun!! Only thing personal hurt that got me, only paying food with credit card or other money transfer. So the first night ending with a headache. Also a lifestyle choice of mine, but no physical cas for food. Not a good practice. But still a paradise going echer year.
filian and stated many time she never own it , she pirated her model and added a color change in her model clothes , reason she ALWAY wears the same outfit never get updated models, she never really thought about merch til anime expo happen and she forgot she need a license

yeah its not that bad, i think its just in contrast to how good anime expo was this year, there was a bunch of other crazy stuff i didnt cover in the video that happened and ive been thinking of making a second video but idk. some of the comments section here has some pretty messed up stories of AX as well, its worth a read
For the C&D, that was only targeted to Artists who had booths in Exhibit hall, it never made it down to Artist Alley. In any con where you're sharing space with the publisher [as in if you're in the SAME FLOOR], its always better to have original work OR fan art that is allowed to sell. Viz is pretty strict which is why its better to not have any of their properties in your Exhibit Hall booth.
yeah, i think the kicker was the particular vendor i mentioned has done AX before, so they prolly thought it was okay. also some of the other comments on the video are saying the C&D made it to artist alley but idk. I do know other artists made videos about it at the event, and event on sunday there were stalls missing and replaced with chairs for booths who didnt comply with the orders from AX staff.
I stopped attending any anime conventions after my friend who cosplayed as Shizuku from My Dress Up Darling bordeline ended my relationship that i was completley heartbroken to the point of sufferinh from PTSD and becoming antisocial to the society. Dont want to tell my parents because they will sculd me for my horrible tragedy.
JW Marriott is like the hotel anime expo uses, most people call it the JW, it has 2 panel rooms, and is where autograph sessions are located. it also has a giant Crunchyroll-sponsored lounge.
Some of the incidents mentioned here make me glad I have virtually no interest in attending Anime Expo and preferring more local cons instead. But also because I'd have to travel across half the country to get there, and that's not something I'm willing to do.
I feel you, I would love for other conventions to grow in size so we can have more larger events across the country, Id love to see japanese staff/voice actors make their way out to other parts of the country.

The Boku No Pici cd 😂😂😂😂😂 omg early 2010s AX meme and cringe nostalgia.
you pay your respsects to boku, so many people traumatized (¬‿¬)
Filian's model isn't custom, so she never owned the copyright to it, she only had usage rights, same as probably a thousand other people who use that same model
Copyright infringement letters that were sent were fakes. Viz did not send any letter out officially. It’s a scam that has been done multiple times before
I still find it crazy how theres drama in these communities. Its just silly to me.
Realistically, any huge communities bound to have dramas here and there and thats actually common even if people dont like them but oh well, people still gonna be people I guess.
If you never went to a con in the early 2000's then that's fine but drama has always been a part of anime conventions
Con horror stories were super popular to share around on forums when we didn't had social media.
The Guest of Honor and Industry autographs were extremely well handled this year. It was pretty much only the mangagamer booth that had issues.
Other than that, AX2024 was definitely an improvement from last year in regards to crowd control and exhibit hall layout (although I wish there were more unique vendors).
dang that sucks, yeah the GoH this year went hard. Last years GoH Acky Bright, his panel wasnt even full. I didnt get to go to his panels this year, he had way more of them. I really wanted dungeon meshi signature but she sold out so fast. even her offsite events sold out ;__;

Plus, people with epilepsy can be triggered into seizures by flash. It is wild to bring one to an event like this.

Master Roshi must've listened to the deranged DBZ fanboys who think that the characters in that series can solo any verse.
My group I went with was supposed to go to the Weston, but we didn’t and went to round1 instead 😭
Saturday night at the westin rooftop party there was a guy who started a fight that was probably on drugs was pinned down for 10 minutes till hotel security came cuffed and dragged him out i have videos
sheeeesh, any idea if he was a con attendee or just a typical LA crazy?
@EvilAniki He was an attendee. Someone on reddit confirmed that the crazed dude is his co-worker and they had went to AX together that weekend.
Furthermore, a lady stated that he was talking to the dude at Lounge 21 and felt weird vibes off him in the same reddit thread.
Saw the final moments of the fight and the guards attacking him. Dude definitely seemed out of it and was trying to fight folks even when handcuffed.
@@yukithesnowman314im the coworker and i can prove it if you need, he was supposed to attend AX but didn’t and instead came to the party, it was actually the second night he drove out there and he was fine the day before i didn’t find out what happened till the morning since i was down in the lobby when it all went down, im severely disappointed and embarrassed by the whole thing
@@rlamas4783 It's cool dude you didn't do anything wrong nor you were involved.
11:18 agree its feel like queen bee make a bonus episode of hen with a tie. I get it somepeople would like to see it get animated but i recomend read it
I dont feel bad for the Roshi cosplayer. If you're being a creep, then you get what's coming to you!
very true, ive been contemplating making a con etiquette type video cause of the recent drama with the youtuber/cosplayer consent issues that popped up.
And it was 😭
Wow! Never heard of that drunk fight 🥶🥶🥶
As for "Plus-sized Elf," it's definitely following the model of "How Heavy are your Dumbbells?" and the purpose of the second half (yes, it is half of the episode) is to give more education.
@justinb998 i wish anime expo was longer. Like a two weekend event. Ax chibi isnt as cool. Im very much excited for next years ax
I remember seeing a child getting eaten by random furries in the middle of the show
THE BITE OF 87?!
@@wack5142 The vore of 87
This year was much better than the last 2 years for sure, but lots of room for improvement. I was at the Nikke meetup and am in the vid somewhere lol
The organizer thought it would be a much smaller meetup, and the crowd got so big that it was blocking the doors (hence security saying they would shut it down due to it being a fire hazard).
yeah, raz does did the nikke meet up last year and the ALA meetup earlier this year for nikke. I believe he also does the hololive meetups as well. hosting a meetup must be stressful. i went to a panty and stocking meetup at ax last year and no panty and stocking cosplayers showed up, only side characters and they didnt have any photographers.
Been attending AX since 2011 and im amazed of all the drama I’ve seen throughout my years of going and it just keeps piling on without fail
yeah its kinda crazy, I personally would love to see some of the japanese companies pull away to other events like anime los angeles and so on.
@@missshiningbind I’m sorry that happened to you :( I always try to help when someone is having a bad time (cosplay malfunction, needing air, moving to a less crowded space, venting etc) I hope you give it another chance and promise if I see you having a bad time I’ll jump in to help
He was either
1. Dumb enough to start a fireworks (which I doubt it)
or
2. Someone started the fireworks and ran from the scene that night.
But I don't know whether the guy lived that night, but I was left scarred that night. Only the doctors could saved him hoping that he's okay.
that sounds absolutely horrific. which parking garage? the one for the con or another one downtown?
@@EvilAniki It was close to the con but it was nearby the JW Marriot Hotel
Been going to anime expo since 2009 it gets bad every single year along with getting expensive ive kinda stopped going cus of it the JW marriot stuff should be part of AX cus i know thats AX's best selling hotel for the convention its extreamly hard to snag up ive not really had any issues going to the pannel rooms the panel rooms are usually staffed by JW security and anime expo staff. I do know theres always loads of miss communication between the two especially for lines.
Ive been going since 2014, i feel like there was a solid effort made this year to improve the event overall, i hope they keep improving
@@EvilAniki yeah i heard from other friends that went that the lines werent that bad and that it was a bit smoother.
JW Capacity: 2592
Rough but there's only 2-3 people controlling that entire line and Access Control had their department stretched thin
Even with a clicker with the heat and long days brain fog makes you lose count like 5-10 ppl in
You can announce the line is capped by people will still crowd around hoping to jump in when they feel it will open up. It creates issues in popular booths like hoyoverse and artists alley.
Unfortunately there is just not enough space nor manpower to have better lines but maybe the LACC expansion will change that or a change of venue
Pretty sure fan art is fair use lmao good luck viz, what are they gonna do, sue every artist personally?
I heard about the party at the westin a few friends were there it was insane
2:26 it states in the exhibitor boothing rules that they are to use ips they own
It was in Anime Expo's rules when applying to be an exhibitor that they were not allowed to sell any fanart and it all had to be the artist's original characters.
The one year I don’t go…
Dam
@@EvilAniki I don't think they are the same staff or else they would both understand how things are going at Anime Expo for 4 days.
Can you do the dark side of Anime NYC?
I'll think about it, I know Anime NYC has some crazy stuff that happens.
as a security officer, its highly likely the officers were just misinformed or misunderstood their directions and were looking for a specific type of badge, and didn't know about other types. If that were the case, def 100% that security company's fault
could be, there was more security than event staff at the JW it felt like.
But still a paradise going echer year.
im curious to see the attendance stats when they come out. i wonder if the ax crossing helped "reduce" the number of people.
Anime Expo has a Light Side?
filian and stated many time she never own it , she pirated her model and added a color change in her model clothes , reason she ALWAY wears the same outfit never get updated models, she never really thought about merch til anime expo happen and she forgot she need a license
Man the Nikke boom is real wth xD I wish we had as many people in an Azur Lane meetup in Europe like in here.
Azur lane goes pretty hard with their IRL events. hoping nikke can get to that level one day.

See the way I was expecting was more fighting and more criminal behaviors but this is low base so it should be fine for now. I don’t see anything Darkside from this nothing completely dark. This is more like a shadow than a Darkside.
yeah its not that bad, i think its just in contrast to how good anime expo was this year, there was a bunch of other crazy stuff i didnt cover in the video that happened and ive been thinking of making a second video but idk. some of the comments section here has some pretty messed up stories of AX as well, its worth a read
That's not true. One of my friends had an AA booth and she got a Viz notice.
Are we supposed to know what JW means?
JW Marriott is like the hotel anime expo uses, most people call it the JW, it has 2 panel rooms, and is where autograph sessions are located. it also has a giant Crunchyroll-sponsored lounge.
na
ya
Some of the incidents mentioned here make me glad I have virtually no interest in attending Anime Expo and preferring more local cons instead. But also because I'd have to travel across half the country to get there, and that's not something I'm willing to do.
I feel you, I would love for other conventions to grow in size so we can have more larger events across the country, Id love to see japanese staff/voice actors make their way out to other parts of the country.
it only affected people in the exhibitor hall. Artist alley as in the clear
tealteacup on Instagram supposedly got hit with a Cease and Desist as well and their booth was located in the Kentia hall.
