It was in Anime Expo's rules when applying to be an exhibitor that they were not allowed to sell any fanart and it all had to be the artist's original characters. This warning was not given to anyone in artist alley cause its obviously going to be all fanart. It's 100% the exhibitor's fault for not reading the rules carefully

My friend and I went to this con, but didn't stay long because the venue was way too small. Baltimore hasn't had a lot of anime/gaming conventions or events since Otakon left, so I created my own brand of events through my DJ & Cosplay Party promotion known as "BASSMODE: Nerdz Nite Out"; where anime fans, cosplayers, and former Otakon attendees can have fun.

speaking of anime impulse, you should look into controversy involving their recent event in Phoenix! there has been several posts made involving it and how they poorly managed lines and had people waiting outside in prime phoenix summer heat for hours!! whats even worse is they deleted their own posts about it and have removed comments about it from their page, its a very bad situation

When you host a big show you will have people coming from outside the local area. They will need a hotel room close by. Larger shows require 50,000 rooms within 5 miles of the venue. Anaheim and to a smaller extent San Diego has this LACC might have around 5,000. This dooms them to only having a few large shows per year that only attract local attendees.
