- 🇻🇳🇯🇵 Just 20km north of Ha Long city in northern Vietnam lies a traditional Japanese onsen. Not exactly the first place you would think to look for a traditional Japanese bath house, but alas, Vietnam is home to many hidden surprises. This place is not cheap by any means. They do offer day passes for just bathing in the onsen, which ranges in price from $40-$70, but Max and I decided to stay overnight in the biggest and most expensive room - the Kazuko room. This literally means "family" room in Japanese, and is designed for a family of 4. It has 2 private onsens, and is gigantic. It totaled roughly $320 USD. Worth it? You decide. This is just part one. I had to film 2 videos cause there was too much to talk about. Part two will be out soon!

LOVE these guys. I watched EVERY ads so Chris can earn some money for the trips. I love all of your videos because they are very entertaining and educational. I think I LOVE this Japanese resort. So beautiful. After your video I think a lot pf foreigners will book this resort when they travel to VN. And I think the Owners, Manager shoulda call you back and offer 3 days free for you and Max Farland in a different room so we can see more of what they look like. Anyway. I think there are two types of Japanese footwear. The so-called uwabaki are slippers/shoes that can be worn inside the house alternatively to being barefoot or to wear socks. The entrance of Japanese houses or traditional Japanese hotels (ryokan) are called Genkan. Here you take off and put your shoes that you wear outside. I think in your video I've seen some sort of Geta - wooden slippers that you wear outside - because they were in the Genkan and not on the higher level/floor of the house. Nowadays geta are usually worn with a Kimono or yukata. I'm not sure tho.

Haha we try to keep it real 😄 if we get invited we are inclined to say it’s good. But if we just show up and do our thing we can give a real review

That was awesome Hotel, but very expensive.
"Onsen" has been borrowed into English with a different pronunciation much like "karaoke". The way Chris said it is the correct way to say it in English. Max is being that guy that comes back from a two week vacation to Spain and insists on calling it Barthelona.

As soon international travel resume, I’ll fly to Saigon for a month to bask in relaxation and then visit Tokyo for few days to satisfy my senses and then take a luxury cruise back to the states. Japanese people are the most polite people on the planet and enjoy their rich traditions and culture. Personally, if I want an authentic Japanese experience, I go directly to the source. I refuse eating Japanese cuisine anywhere else. Maybe I’m a spoiled brat lol 😂

I caught the covid bug when I was in Europe last year and so I have natural antibodies. However, decided to get vaccinated recently in case international travel resume in few short months. I’m ready to bounce to Asia as soon international travel resume. I have a feeling y’all won’t get vaccination from VN government anytime soon. I know for a fact that China and Russia are helping distributing their vaccination in VN, but VN government is also in early stage of negotiating vaccines from Moderna. Assuming vaccination will be available in VN, I wonder if y’all have to pay for the vaccination.

On a personal note, Vietnam has done amazing job of keeping VN competitive with the world since US President Clinton normalized Vietnam with world economies. I’m manically excited about the new train system (MTR) in VN. I hope it will be ready sometimes in 2022. I’ll be the first American to bounce to Saigon when VN open its door for international tourism 🥺

@@chrismixlewis You guys are like me, if the accommodations are good, the food better as good if not better to please the guests. I did watch Max's video, the dinner was awful , food was pretty Blah, fried mackerel for breakfast that was uncalled for such a high end place.

Phí tiền đến chỗ nước nóng đun bằng điện này. Tắm suối nước nóng thì phải là suối tự nhiên ngoài thiên nhiên, chứ các bố làm nóng bằng điện này thì ở nhà tắm bình nóng lạnh cho khỏe
