Not sure what you mean here. They both train to win. And men have died in the cage. And some athletes kill. And in fact, there have been special operators that have tried MMA, to varying degrees of success. None has ever become a Champion as of yet though. So, no don't really understand what your point is here.

I suspect all who enter the cage compete to win and few go in with the intent to kill or murder their opponent. I’ve never been in the cage but I have seen lots of war. War is competing for every chip you own and every chip you may ever own. Athletes may compete for fame, glory and recognition. These are fleeting things. Losing in war is for all your forever. Out in the open I have to move around too much, tackle one, get up, punch the other, tackle him, get up, yadda yadda. Im not saying military isnt tough, they are killers, they are trained with guns. Hand to hand combat isnt their specialty. Badasses exist everywhere, so yes some military dudes are bad ass physically too. In my experience though? Not really. Without their guns they are just buff meatheads who take tren and roids.
to settle everyone's butthurtedness, I have predictions that I think we can agree on. first of all, this video wasn't made to depict the marines as superior fighters, but rather to give credit to what they do. second, the training styles are very different and in a combat situation a UFC fighter would lack the skills to keep themselves alive. third, remove the weapons and 2 v 1 and put them in the octagon, the UFC fighter would most likely win a grapple to subdue, but a marine, just because of the difference in training, may very well be able to get himself into a position considered useless in UFC but a good position to kill in combat and kill the fighter. one is not superior to the other. That's like saying a coder is better with computers than an animator. this video is just making each group respect each other even more.
If there was no rules the Marine or soldier could still win. My attitude is bite something off. Anything. If some cunt takes me down and starts grappling I'm immediately looking to bite a bit of earlobe off or a bottom lip or eyelid or something. You can't punch in real life. I did MMA for years and the amount of guys who would break fingers, knuckles or wrists etc fighting in a bar at the weekend was all the evidence you need.
Stephen Murray Wrong. Biting will not help you against an MMA fighter. That is a very low percentage technique. Dirty techniques have been proven to be very ineffective when you're positionally dominated which is a very important tactic in MMA today.
Nonsense. Show me the "proof" then. Also I am not wrong, I am correct. Also the phrase "very low percentage technique" exists only in your head. These techniques work.
Not Blake proof that dirty, or survival techniques don’t work? From what I witnessed there extremely useful especially against a fighter who they nod you are fighting by rules.
The military guys could benefit from learning mma from these pro guys, they'd implement their teachings well in a dangerous environment. For example soccer kicks and 12 to 6 elbows and certain other things arent allowed in a professional setting

Little do the UFC fighters know the instructors are still half drunk from the night before going on 1 hour of sleep and smoking cigarettes in the bushes after every fight 😂😂
I served 21-years in the Marine Corps, and several battlefields in that time. While there was no 'MMA' during most of that time, there were 'hardened, experienced fighters' from various cities who came into the Marines...and without fail, they found out that what they thought they knew about 'real fighting' was simply 'friendly disagreements' that didn't work well in 'real fighting environments' (where one walks away, and the other doesn't, ever). Our training back 'in-the-day' was relatively simple. They instruct you in USMC fighting, always teaching the first fact: you stay alive by keeping the fight as short and lethal as possible. This isn't a 'you slept with my sister' fight, this is a 'this will be the last day of your life' fight...and the only rule is to live to walk away. With most old-Marines you'll ever meet, you'll notice this in them...almost a sheer-avoidance to fighting. The reason has NOTHING to do with fear...from the moment an altercation starts, he is assessing three things: IS IT WORTH IT? WHAT IS MY BEST LETHAL SHOT ON MY OPPONENT? WHAT IS MY EGRESS AFTERWARDS? (what am I looking at, including leaving the area, after the fight). If you push me to fight, even now (and I'm in my 60's), know one thing...If you make me fight, I'm going to cut you, break bones, totally disable you (most likely for the rest of your life) if you push me to fight...it is NOT checkers, it is fighting...period.
That was perfectly on point to me. I served 6 years, then about 4 years after getting out I was being goaded into a fight by a much bigger guy. My thoughts were focused on his throat and eyes. The consequences afterward were not in my thoughts. It felt simply like “me or him”. That was twenty years ago now and I can still vividly feel the moment when I think back on it.

We use to fight marines in Hawaii for fun back in the day. There was no shortage of them coming into town to hit on your girlfriend and go around starting trouble with the locals. Most of our dads were combat vets and still trained all kinds of martial arts with us. We were ready and in shape. I’m sure that still happens in Waikiki every weekend.
Bro my dad told me the same thing😭 we Samoan so he told me that they would come into a bar, get drunk and start beef and my dad told me the best fights happened when they came in😭
I was stationed in Hawaii for 4 years. I was in the Navy. I was trained in martial arts from childhood, but many of my fellow Navy were not. I used to laugh at all the tough guys coming back with black eyes. It was one of my best memories about the Navy. They would always say the Samoan was 7 foot tall 😂😂😂
When I joined the army, we were really disappointed to find out we would not be taught any hand to hand combat (Not many Tankers get into fist fights). Our drill sergeants told us too many of us were coming back from leave all jacked up from getting beat up.
There's something out there called the Martial Map, which is a Venn diagram dividing all combat systems into 1- Self-defense (protecting one's life in any situation, like military training), 2- Martial arts (self development systems with all the traditions, like karate or kung-fu) and 3- Combat sports (more contact than martial arts or self-defense because they use less lethal techniques, but with more specific rules and dont train to deal with as many different situations, like MMA or boxing, for exemple). This video here is a good exemple of pitting categories 1 and 3 against one another.
My oldest brother was a Marine Corps sniper instructor at Quantico for his entire tour in the Marines, they spotted my World War 2 Dad's marksmanship training he started all his kids on at age 6. They took him straight from his Marine Corps basic training to Quantico. Any of the instructors or sniper trainees who were there from 67 to 73 will remember "Sgt Butch." Dad also trained us in martial arts (he 2as an instructor in an Okinawan hard style of karate), starting us from age 6, as well as giving us farm chores before and after school FROM AGE 6. We had a farm, and my dad worked as an engineer for the federal government and in his later years retired out of Washington DC. My brother is still alive and "kicking," having obtained black belts in several types of martial arts over the years. He's currently, even at his age, an on-call sniper for his big city police department. This was a cool video for me to watch, going down a similar path as my brother but in the Air Force. I was Security Forces, and a martial arts instructor, and always in the top 1% to 3% in marksmanship in the pit and on the range with several different weapons. I dabbled a little in martial arts, like my brother, during and beyond my direct military years, including studying mixed martial arts. One of my early-on karate instructors was Billy Blanks, then in the military, it was fellow Security Policeman Craig Godbee (a 2nd degree black belt under Chuck Norris), then the 5 Lee brothers in North Carolina in TKD. One of my instructors in that system was South Korean Olympic Gold Medalist welterweight, Master Bong Keon Park. There were several others who are well known but I'll leave it just about like this, mentioning only a few. At the end, a federal law enforcement officer in Texas who was a 4th degree black belt under Chuck Norris was my final instructor. One of my mixed martial arts instructors was Marco Ruas' student, and my TKD, Hapkido and Judo instructor was the "Korean American TKD Olympics" heavyweight gold medalist, Master Richard Kang. He would not spar me because he said I was "a devil." Which, broke my heart because I am also a Christian missionary. He explained later, to Koreans, devil doesn't mean the same thing as to Americans. He paid special attention to helping me develop and perfect my military self defense and offense art to train military, police, and government employees. I had an interesting middle age. *To have the opportunity to go on the trip the MMA brothers went on to Quantico, I would have paid as much as $1,000 for that training.* That was an experience of a lifetime for these gentlemen, I hope they took away what they were supposed to! What an opportunity!

Why you decided to compare non-SOCOM Marine soldiers to the Army’s special forces, I’ll never understand. However, I feel that if anything, that says *A LOT* more about how good they are. You compared them to the Rangers because *you know* they easily do 2x the amount of work the Army does with half of the equipment.

I'm surprised the fighters gave their backsides up when going 1 v 2 so easily. In Krav you're trained to keep opponents positioned in front of you one in line with the other...
That's what I was saying in my mind. Went right between the opponents just to get sandwiched and taken out in his blind spot and front rather than reposition if need be to keep both opponents in sight. Plus the first guy basically gave the marine his weapon by bringing it so close to him he could easily grab it.
Not that these high level fighters couldn't fuck up multiple people at a time, there's videos of that on UA-cam, but they're not trained to do that. They train to go one on one with somebody in the cage.

Hand to hand combat isnt their specialty. Badasses exist everywhere, so yes some military dudes are bad ass physically too. In my experience though? Not really. Without their guns they are just buff meatheads who take tren and roids.
I trained with Marines when I was in the U.S. Army and it was an awesome experience 💪🏾
Marines? Media hype! You must of been a chairborne ranger! Lol!
to settle everyone's butthurtedness, I have predictions that I think we can agree on. first of all, this video wasn't made to depict the marines as superior fighters, but rather to give credit to what they do. second, the training styles are very different and in a combat situation a UFC fighter would lack the skills to keep themselves alive. third, remove the weapons and 2 v 1 and put them in the octagon, the UFC fighter would most likely win a grapple to subdue, but a marine, just because of the difference in training, may very well be able to get himself into a position considered useless in UFC but a good position to kill in combat and kill the fighter. one is not superior to the other.
All i have to say is Bryan stann

hahahahah im weak
Respect, Skeeter.
Enough said and on point.

My oldest brother was a Marine Corps sniper instructor at Quantico for his entire tour in the Marines, they spotted my World War 2 Dad's marksmanship training he started all his kids on at age 6. They took him straight from his Marine Corps basic training to Quantico. Any of the instructors or sniper trainees who were there from 67 to 73 will remember "Sgt Butch."
Dad also trained us in martial arts (he 2as an instructor in an Okinawan hard style of karate), starting us from age 6, as well as giving us farm chores before and after school FROM AGE 6.

Wow all the work and dedication these guys put in and over 10 Marines lost their lives in Afghanistan 2021.. and it didn’t have to end that way🤷♀️
That's badass, I had no idea about all these other circuit drills. Also never mess with the best. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Must be Army Rangers and real combat Soldiers.
cant wait for part 2
This actually reinforces my confidence in the Marines😀
Join the Taliban. They beat the marines
Cool story, justin. Didn't happen but cool story bro
"I was taking on two guys...it wasn't fun...okay it was fun" lmao
I'm not proud of this, but it happened. My stepfather, a 26yr Marine, retired at E-9, 6'3" and about 225 at the time had moved up here to live with my mother. I was 20, 5'11" and 165lbs. I was young and stupid and thought fighting people was cool. On 3 different occasions the first year he was here arguments came to blows. All 3 times I ko'd him. Granted my late father was a Navy boxing Champ and had countless wrestling awards and achievements, and trained me until he passed away when I was 14. But Marines are tough, I was just quick, was 20yrs younger, an asshole, and hit hard. Now, my stepfather and I are basically best friends. But I still regret hitting him all those years ago even though he was swinging too. Alcohol makes you do some dumb shit, which is why I don't drink anymore.
c'mon lemme in there!!!!! if you want to see some epic martial Arts LET ME RUN THAT COURSE PLEASEEE!!!!!!!!!
Watching those marine train the first clip was awesome makes me really want to join in only 22 at the moment.
Ooorah.. good stuff. I remember before I retired the beginnings MCMAP... and it was good stuff. But this is great in the fact these guys recognized the training that Marines do. This was outstanding.
Semper Fi
Thank you Marines for what you do.Stay awake, not WOKE.Love you ALL
Bare hand combat almost exclusively only for sports rather for self defense
Not true at all how many people do you know walking around with rifles jumping people?
@@GgCashh451 Most people who want to attempt crimes, at least bring a knife.
1:49 is that dana white?
Simple. Include weapons and yeah a ufc fighter will most likely lose if not trained. Hand to hand combat with no weapons, the ufc fighter wins 10/10
Scott Carlson uhhh... no they wouldn’t 😂
@@conorhogan2435 in a unarmed fight yes a ufc fighter would obviously win unless theres a big size advantage involved
GetShreked Ked19 Any fighter in the UFC would still likely destroy anyone in the military.
GetShreked Ked19 You’re braindead if you think a military person can win a fight against a professional fighter.
GetShreked Ked19 You seem to think that a ufc fighter cant kill. The only reason they dont kill is because there is a ref. You do realize once someone is knocked out the only thing stopping them from dying is the mercy of the person who knocked them out.
As a kid my dad was one of the instructors of the mcmap program. I got to meet all these guys and have pictures with all of them.
sounds gay
The basic issue I noticed was the fighters have trained to be focused on an individual in an empty ring, not so situational aware for multiple combatants in an environment with obstacles.
LtCol Shusko looked the same as he did back in Desert Storm - Congratulations Sir ! - HMM-266 Fighting Griffins. Semper Fi !
