100%. Its the gaslighting from the ownere is the most annoying. Build up to every transfer window all we hear is "warchest this, warchest that" constantly blowing smoke up fans arses about strengthening then when the window opens "we're saving money for bellingham" then when it finally gets to it, one low ball bid gets rejecteded and we pull out. After writing a full season off for Jude.
I think it's wrong to suggest that The Club weren't looking for a DM when they were openly pursuing Aurélien Tchouaméni last year.

To continue relying on Thiago, hendo and milner is partially klopp for backing that again. It was clear to everybody that they were already on their last legs last year. If the club feel that maybe Palhinha is a year or two older than the profile they are looking for then I'd go Someone like Koopmeiners ( who's basically a left footed Hendo ) or maybe if there's money left over go for Nunes or Ugarte . No to Rice or Mount , they'd want silly money for them.

We were never going to get Bellingham. The likes of City and PSG have ruined the market for everyone - leaving themselves to compete. Real Madrid, like ManUtd, are huge clubs with huge following - so they've always had the buying power.

We spent 75m on virgil 5 years ago and allison 5 years ago for world record prices both adjusted for inflation are not far off the suggested Bellingham price. Bellingham is off the list . They just can’t afford to spend all of time negotiating with Dortmund and then miss out on other targets . If it’s true JB only wants Liverpool then Liverpool win get other deals done then either go in for him before preseason . Or JB stays in Dortmund then he joins for the season after .

It's doesn't make sense. Mount or Bellingham will be taking up the squad place of OX and Kieta. So we need this type of player. DMs are cheaper than attacking midfielders, if we didn't get Rice, we could pick up a DM for 35-40 mil and Mount at 60. Plus another CB and RB, that would be decent business.

Bellingham always looked unlikely based on what we have seen this season.

Frankly, it would be a crime if we did buy him at this point as we need to strengthen squad depth, as we have too many players leaving, declining or always injured, and having to play 60 games a season is what's partly left to decline of some players

For me, it's good for us that we aren't getting Bellingham. One midfielder wouldn't solve our problems.
Also, when have Liverpool bought massive superstars? We built our recent success on buying good young players and coaching them into World Class players.
Liverpool need four First Team players this summer. Blowing £130 million plus on one player isn't a good idea when we need mutiple new bodies in the squad.

Around 30million a season net spend since they took over its not acceptable, Klopp has been working miracles if it wasn’t for the Coutinho sale we wouldn’t of signed VVD and AB, we were lucky Barca are off their heads and paid that much! However, we do spend a lot of money on other things btw. We have one of the largest wage bills in world football. We will soon have a second new stand and yeah, when we got the new Main Stand in 2016, Liverpool FC were not earning no-where near enough money to fully pay back £116 million in the first place, so like most clubs would have done, they took out a small interest loan from a bank AND they haven't done that with the new Anfield Road Stand, which is going to cost us £80 million. In addition to all of this, the new training ground we completed is worth a total of £50 million.
It's not all of FSG's fault. How could they foresee their new Sporting Direct Julian Ward to quit 1 year into his tenure? That's not going to help things at all.
It also hasn't helped the fact that no one is really interested in buying Liverpool in the first place. So we're kind of stuck with them for now.
Also, it's not FSG's fault that Naby Keita and Oxlade Chamberlain haven't performed up to their potential? Some things just don't go your way in football. We spent around £90 million on those two individuals and it just hasn't worked.
FSG do have to take their share of the blame here (like when they didn't sign anyone the year after we won the Champions League and only signing Konate in 21/22 season) but it's not all their fault.
