Yeah, I fed my animals that crap for years! Once I went to raw, super great changes for the better! Now I DO keep a bag of dry around in case I get sick etc. They're getting fresh milk and the best eggs ever every day, plus bones etc and... elephant poo!
I cook for my old man, but also do have the kibble at hand. (But have gone for no-grain high quality brand LOL.) BTW When we were living in Hargiesa and I couldn't get regular fresh meat I would cook them beans and lentils with basmati and veggies. Their poops where rather rustic and my lab would follow the other two dogs and go for their fresh poops for his "dessert".
