I'm in a fishing village outside of Tanga. Like many fishermen the world over, it's a subsistence living. When this lobster diver's mask fell into disrepair, he repaired it. Again and again and again. This is how. (PS, this is the 3rd fishing village I've lived in. 1-Costa Rica, 2-Chile, 3-Tanga. FYI, I'm vegetarian and don't eat fish either.)

After living in Chile 10 years, we've now been in Tanzania for two years-the past year on the coast. In this village, many, many people were initially VERY scared of the dogs. I watched 4 different men leap onto nearby walls when they saw us coming-or rather when they saw Boomer, a German Shepherd mix! As soon as someone in the Tanga, Tanzania community said some of the walls at the beach could be painted, I thought, "YES! I know just the artist." Artists with a vision can turn ugliness into a golden opportunity. This man is just starting the day. Or perhaps ending his night...? Many of these fishermen (always men), are out fishing at night. I see a whole line of lights on the Indian Ocean horizon after sunset.

@@dollybrunalabra5758 Boomer is around there somewhere, probably trying to find food. Very sadly, Luna, the big part galgo, died one year ago exactly. She was 14. :( We all miss her. She was POWER.

@@dollybrunalabra5758 We'd only been on the coast 2 months. Earlier in the week, Boomer ate something and vomited all night long. But he eats everything so not totally unusual. A few days later, Luna ate something on the beach. I think the same poisonous fish. In two hours she was dead. But.... I try and see it, maybe it was her time. Her arthritis was getting her down. She had a TERRIFIC life. She is always with me. xxx

Yeah, I fed my animals that crap for years! Once I went to raw, super great changes for the better! Now I DO keep a bag of dry around in case I get sick etc. They're getting fresh milk and the best eggs ever every day, plus bones etc and... elephant poo!
I cook for my old man, but also do have the kibble at hand. (But have gone for no-grain high quality brand LOL.) BTW When we were living in Hargiesa and I couldn't get regular fresh meat I would cook them beans and lentils with basmati and veggies. Their poops where rather rustic and my lab would follow the other two dogs and go for their fresh poops for his "dessert".
