The transmission malfuctunioned and so did everything else. My dash lit up like a Christmas tree so I determined that my alternator brushes were worn out but decided to replace the entire voltage regulator. As I was testing my diodes, the multimeter's reading was not changing on both polarities. It was staying at 1. I installed the alternator and while charging the battery, I decided to check the voltage but I had the same problem with the multimeter. I checked your video and determined that my test leads are not working. Thanks so much my friend. I completed my repair with your help!!!

Everything else on multi meter are the same. My question is how can I test my leads to see if they working, making that sound when I put the leads together, without the wifi icon ? Is there another way (apart from getting a new 1 with the wifi icon 🙃) ? Thanks
Hi its very unlikely that a multimeter does not have this continuity option. Are you sure there is no such icon on your meter, sometimes it might be very small and clustered among other icons.

I get the beep,however before I put the 2 leads together my meter shows OL,with the om symbol in the top right corner. I'm using a Craftsman Autoranging Multimeter 82309

I wasn't getting any movement or sound and realized my connecters weren't connecting good and I pushed them down more and then I had movement on the dial but still didn't hear a beep then realized I had the TV on too loud and there was a beep that I could hear when I turned the TV down.

he is not speaking broken english, i can understand him perfectly. he is indian and has an accent, you cant demand for he to somehow magically sound like a native american speaker

I stepped on mine and it reads by itself how can i fix? Its same model as yours
When I set in to continuity mode the screen turns off and there is no sound. It is a brand new multimeter, never used before

Most likely a bad multimeter. Even damaged rotatory switch can also make such problems. It is advised to try a new multimeter.
