This is absolutely awful. This is assault. The coach and team needs to be reprimanded. This is NOT ok.

That coach sounds like a sore loser and shouldn’t be coaching anyone because those poor kids are following his lead, he sets the standard so he should be held fully responsible.
Three year ban; punitive damages; civil damages; injury damage award; and an apology would be nice. MINIMUM!

Grown up shouldn’t be allowed to participate in children’s organized sports. They can’t behave themselves. That’s why I didn’t put my child who is an adult now and then he organize sports. I didn’t want to deal with the loudmouth parents. Everybody thinking they’re a little Jonny is going to be a superstar. This type of behaviour just validates my decision!

What's stupid about this team doing this is that the school and couch information had to be given. They will be found and the team disbanded if they are from an official school. The players might end up getting expelled, couch fired, and those who assaulted this man a record.

As he's likely "coaching" them beyond excelling at effectively playing that game. Even if the ref did do them dirty in some unfair way, leave him to his devices. As most folk will believe that their position gives them authority to do whatever they feel. Years ago my son went to his first T-ball game. Another kid came with his Dad. The son was dressed in a full baseball uniform with cleats. The Dad also had a uniform. Wow, certainly not there for fun.
