I love that there are such a wide variety of heat tolerant flowers to choose from, won't miss out in summer at all. I would love to get a chance to grow all those flowers at once, so beautiful. I love the grass. ☘
Oh my goodness, the Salvias are lovely!!! I lived in California for a while and drought resistant plants were a must. They can be just as beautiful and fragrant as all the other plants!
Hello, I am in California, Zone 9a. It is so hot here, today it will be 106. My poor garden is struggling. I pulled my cucumbers and some green bean plants. They just gave up. I will replant and add some shade cloth. But, these flowers are just BEAUTIFUL! I made my list and will be heading to Home Depot this evening to get some flowers to beautify my garden. 🌺 🌸🌻👩🏽🌾
@IcedCoffeeCrush That's awesome. Shade cloths are very effective and some look really good with the right support to keep them up. Water the mornings if possible. Wet leaves early so they can dry off to avoid fungal diseases. Stay cool. 💧 ☀️
Hello my Dear. Great gardening. Love the flowers good to know that they can be in the sun. That's a exactly the kind of plants I need here in South Florida ❤❤❤
You look beautiful! Your flowers are doing awesome in this heat! Your salvia is pretty! I wish mine would last that long! I love cannas! I divide them in the fall! Great tips! Nice video! Blessings! ❤️
The Canna plant remained me of my high school in Jamaica. I remember there were a lot of them at the entrance, they are so beautiful. I love the Crepe Myrtle small tree. I remember when you posted the video on it so stunning. Mulch has become so expensive I am now looking for alternative. Happy gardening and have a pleasant weekend my friend..
Thanks. It is tough sometimes to take care of plants in very hot and harsh summer conditions. I started watering in the mornings and I see improvements. Good flower recommendations. We have had good results from Cone flowers, Pentas and Lantanas.
How old are your coneflower? I love terracotta pots but goodness they have gotten so expensive. Salvias are gorgeous, mine are still small. I got to get a pink salvia 😮 Great video, Marlene! Full watch like always ❤😊
My vinca explode in this heat. That's my go to annual, whereas petunias melt. With the lavendar, even if it's a new plant, should I not water it very much? I love my perennial lantana. It gets huge every year. Love my cannas too. Thanks for the video Marlene!
@Palmguy24 Yes vinca loves the heat. If lavender is new, yes it will need nurturing but once it catches on, water when soil dries out 1 to 2 inched below surface. Happy Gardening.
Hope this gives you some great ideas for your garden. Thanks for watching. Happy Gardening. Blessings ❤️
