Despite the game's flaws I had few good memories with it In coop mode we were trying to exfil with the chopper to finish the level One of the player got incapacitated and the others said leave him. But I went to revive him while taking shots pretty badly but we all survived in the end
Sure it was as epic as it sounds. I have a very fond and epic memory too but in call of duty mw2, i had no ammo on my scar, dolphin dived in front of an enemy, i looked to him and he looked down to me, ready to kill, but when i least expected a rushing friendly sniper in a ghillie suit stabbed him, his dying animation made it even better, as it looked like he was pushed while stabbed, we both tea bagged in respect and went on for some killstreaks, great match
@@joaopaulogalloclaudino9671 in DMZ I managed to save 3 new random squadmates when their Heli got DDOS'ed by the Juggernaut I was warning them about My friend told me to leave them but I took my chances despite the Radiation zone was getting bigger and saved them to the final exfil
Did you know - we're actually working on developing the next game in the series? Hopefully we can release it by winter 2024, to mark Dragon Rising's 15th birthday!
@@dogus4728 Ok. Me and a team of people, there are about 20 of us, are working on building the next game. It is built in Unreal Engine 5 - we are expecting to be able to use the Operation Flashpoint name, however of course, that depends on whether EA gives us a licence (it is likely that they will - because of one reason which I will get to). It would have been nice to use DR's original source code for this game, because it has so much untapped potential, but in that case EA would probably say no. Anyway, we're still in the early stages but this game intents to be based directly on events after DR, and what we're really aiming for is an entire planet for a map, i.e. open world planetary warfare, of course we might end up with issues and not be able to do that. But we're hopeful... - Anyway, the point I left out earlier is that we're an entirely independent organization trying to do something we love - for that reason, the game would be entirely free. It would have a purchase price of $0.00, and if we make dlc packs for it after it releases then those would be free too. Anyway, our main obstacle is developers, we need more developers! If you happen to know any, please let them know about this project! Cheers
@@NoahDomingues This will never happen. Its way too ambitious. The original Operation Flashpoint was barely completed by bohemia and they had the backing of Codemasters. I didn't even know anybody liked the terrible sequels enough to want more. Operation Flashpoint died with the original. I love it so much, but its gone. And the sequels were a spit in the face to its legacy. I would do anything to play as David Armstrong again, in a new game, or even a remake of the original. But it will never happen. EVER.
@@Eyeling I know what happened between Bohemia Interactive and CM. I've read the statements, I know what the orifinal OF was - before BI changed it to ArmA: Cold War Assault. ArmA and Operation Flashpoint are two different legacies. And CM didn't "cheat" then out of the name - they published the game, it was always owned by Codemasters. Altthough I don't like Codemasters either, they killed off the Dragon Rising almost as soon as it was launched. But people are still playing them - and nothing is too ambitious. We have already applied for licensing from EA for the name - and things are looking pretty good for us. We've already started work on it. Both games are separate now, and they have been for 20 years - I happen to be a fan of both, both are good in their own way. The nice thing about Dragon Rising was the entire lack of bugs. Not a single error you could find while playing that, not something I've experienced in another game. Cheers =)
Do you know what Operation Flashpoint was? It was the original ARMA. ARMA was it's spiritual successor because codemasters cheated bohemia out of the name. And so we got these terrible sequels from them.
@@Eyeling Yeah I know. It was bad for Codemasters to steal the name but I think Dragon Rising was honestly a good game for the most part, if they just sold it with a different name it would have been better though.

Absolutely loved this game, it obviously had its flaws but it was a blast
M16 sound takes me back
Played this game for 10 years and I never got my hands on the M32 MGL.
A really good attempt at console ARMA, if only Red River wasnt so bad, it could have been a decent ARMA on console experience.
correct

@@alexanderchenf1 I don’t think so, unless you want to do an LAN party. I play it for the campaign.
I personally like Red River more but this is alright.

Game didn't sold well because it was too hardcore to casuals and too casual for hardcore players.
@@thereisbloodonmynutsack
