Barrie has so much soul and groove it’s ridiculous. James plays like the devil himself. This is amazing - one of the finest demo videos I’ve ever seen. ❤
"Tubescreamer...:". Then it went to an advert! Thought I could not love Barrie more than I already did 😁 Absolutely brilliant video, thanks to all involved.
Wowza! Love this series. Keep it up. And I hope you could hear/feel me hooting, hollering and clapping when each of those jams concluded. Such great playing and amazing sense of staying within the “retro” genres that showed off the amps in context. And it was fantastic to watch you guys played off each other so well. Add a bassist and drummer and give me an album, instrumental is fine- but I’d buy it if it’s just you two noodling. Cheers.
Barrie is just fantastic on the guitar, first time coming across James but he can equally hold his own and then some! Enjoyed every second of this!! Some good gear porn
First saw James play in the late nineties with Peter Bruntnell at a Gram Parsons tribute night. He must have been quite young at the time. His playing was awesome
Oh, I had an Ampeg like that in the 70s. It was badly in need of repair, but it worked. Wish I had known it was worth getting fixed at the tender age of 12. AFAIK, Ampegs have Baxandall shelving tone stack. That would explain the midrange rasp.
I had that old Gibson amp, maybe 75-82. The tremolo bled into the volume. Imagine an amp where the trem adds volume, the reverb too. It was a great soup on ten. Great speaker in there too. Of course, totally an idiot to ever sell it. Regret that as much as any on a long list. Don't ever tell me modeling can do that. Overlooked: pre-CBS Pro Reverb, amazing
Neil Gaydon!, Ha!, Ha! -exactly right, mate!, - this is THE sound! -That's as bang-on the money as a HEART ❤️ ATTACK! - I'd like to hear them plugged in w/ NEWFOUNDLAND SWING!, CHRISTOPHER DOYLE!, & his "Great Big Sea" band in St. John's!, 👍 👌 locked, locked in step with Russell Crowe & a couple of his Aussie string demons!, 😈 That's music, chaps!
Tube Screamer gets so much hate and I absolutely love them, 8 or 9. I’ve got a magical TS9 that sounds great at any setting. With the gain at zero, it’s one of the greatest clean preamps I’ve ever played.
Old electronic components fall way out of original spec as they age. People are paying thousands for amps that are 60+ years old because they think the sound is ‘better’ but that sound is nothing like the tone they had when they were new. That ‘vintage’ tone is basically a degraded piece of equipment.
Ha!, Ha! YOU'VE got it mate! This is "loaded" music! Loaded with soul! Mesh this with a little Newfoundland "High-Seas Swing" and throw in a dash of Aussie outback "didgeree-do"!, snd it's "BACK-TO-THE-FUTURE", lads! Yankees need not apply!
Anything with Barrie Cadogan is an immediate clear the schedule and sit back kind of thing.
same haha
100%
Brilliant guitarist
As an American, I feel robbed because I’ve only just heard of Barrie like a year ago when he did the video playing Rory’s gear. I’m into it, man.
And James no slouch
We need an album of these two men. ❤
Yes. Yes, we do.
Barrie just oozes class whenever he plays. Simply love his chops.
Great match of guitarists. They play so well together.
I would rather watch Barrie tune his guitar than listen to many more famous players - he has soul in those fingers
Cue every guitarist learning every run used here. Superb as always from Barrie, and what a player James is.
Wow. Would love a whole album of these 2 guys playing together.
Needs a drummer, dare I say it. Throw in a bass player whilst your at it.
@@robert-wr6md and water is wet.
@@musicproductionvideos5019 Glad you agree.
@@musicproductionvideos5019 Fun fact: "Wet water" is the opposite of an oxymoron - called a pleonasm.
The rig I would take to a desert island would be Barri'es 330, with Barrie's Bassman, and Barrie Cadogan to play them for me.
That was something else, I’d certainly add this my playlist well done guys .👏🏾👍🏾
What a great video! Great gear, beautiful playing, and three splendid chaps. Bravo to the Guitarist team
Best thing on UA-cam ,sounds awesome ,real music and amps, cool guitars.
Great shop .

How many times am I gonna watch this thing 😂❤
I love seeing their friendship.
Barrie is such a vibe. I always enjoy his playing.
Now this is what I’m talking about! Totally in this wheelhouse then oodles of gain.
Jeez what phenomenal players, best 2 guitar player jams I've heard in years
Loved that, best thing I’ve watched in ages
That intro was killer.
Fantastic players, awesome viby guitars, classy amps 👍👌

Just Amazing 🤩🎸 players

Second jam on tremolo was great as well!
Anything with Barrie Codogan is an instant click, anything with Barrie Codagan on Peter Green/Danny Kirwan is an instant week off to study haha
Great playing ..............
Great sounds, great gear, great playing. Loved it.
Bloody hell! James! It's wayne from fortismere, ello!
Barrie Cadogan is always awesome and I’ve seen James live with his band His Lordship, they are brilliant
I could watch this dude play for days!
Best jam ever 😮
2 amazing guitarists ,classic sounds
This is the best thing I’ve ever seen.
just how good is this hey!!
Great playing!!!!!!!!!!
love that opening jam
Some cool vintage sounds. I use to have one of those Ampeg amps and s Jazzmaster many years ago.
Wow, what talent! Amazing.
This Was Really Good
The tremolo jam was brilliant
ooh, an unexpected treat distracting me from what I'm meant to be doing! - thanks chaps 😆
Thats some great playing! I do always miss the bass, when 2 guitars are jamming, would just make it sound better ❤
awesome
Fabulous. That Need Your Love So Bad jam at the end!
Wow two great players there. But the yellow harmony (some kind of Jupiter variation) won the race.
First saw James play in the late nineties with Peter Bruntnell at a Gram Parsons tribute night. He must have been quite young at the time. His playing was awesome
Great video
Intro jam was great!
Great stuff. I’ll definitely be stealing some runs and licks from this.
Here I am again. ❤
A peg and fender jam was great as well!
Last jam was also great!
Real musicians.
Nice, need a sound city Concord on there, fender twin killer
God damn….what playing!
Love my old Gibson Falcon amp.
Those guitars and amp sound fantastic. If it was me playing them they'd sound dreadful! Great playing guys.

That ampeg sounds amazing.
Both players complimented each other too.
Not at that price.. NO!!
Lovely jammin and tones lads.
Little Barrie is all class
I’m sorry, no digital amp modelling gets remotely close. A masterclass in jamming.
Wow an Old Roy Smeck Harmoney Guitar
What guitar is James playing ?
Anyone know ?
that slivertone fits barrie like a glove ...
Tube Screamer gets so much hate and I absolutely love them, 8 or 9. I’ve got a magical TS9 that sounds great at any setting. With the gain at zero, it’s one of the greatest clean preamps I’ve ever played.
NICE AND GREASY BOYZ...
Why aren’t these fellaz in every other issue of the magazine?!
Nice bite
And what's gonna be the name of this new band?
How do you give multiple thumbs up? 👍👍👍👍👍
kick ass
Couldn’t hear much but Gibson when they played together
👍🏻👍🏻
Interesting, James is a foot tapper and Barrie’s feet don’t move a muscle
I wish James would lay back...

Who needs loudmouth American session players ay! This is how it's done

Ha ha, why be pro when you can be semi pro.
