Ever hear of a mid-70s band called Heart? Ann & Nancy Wilson were huge stars in those days, and still tour today.
Really enjoyed this concert at Austin City Limits. The band is Tight!!! That guitar player on her left is quite the performer!!! He's having fun!!! They all are! Me Too!!! Thanks Chrissie! Luv Ya!
I saw them open for Stevie Nicks in Dallas about the same time this was filmed & the band was solid. I was really hoping to hear Tattooed Love Boys but the show was great without it and we're probably all a little old for that lol.
Rock and roll always has a powerful drummer leading the way.
I always loved the drums on this tune and seeing it played on this video just super emphasized that for me!
Truly Historic Rockers from the other side of The Pond.....The Pretenders.....Few could stand shoulder to shoulder with them.....
with a hot yank band leader...
She still look great! I loved her back in the days, what a great time we lived in. ROCK N ROLL BABY!!
YES we did !! ( I was 17-26 from 1980-89) WHAT A TIME to be exactly that age growing up in the bay area esp !!
One of the best Pretenders ever. Great lead guitar part and lyrics.
Such a beautiful sensual being. Love her voice and attitude.
SEXY is the word. Unbelievably sexy.
Saw this real time when it aired and thought this was the best song of the night. Amongst many.
Band sounds amazing. And how can that 68 year old woman still be so sexy?
second favorite Pretenders song... fortunate to see them with Neil Young at red rocks... that is in the top five concerts for me all time... ive been to over 200 concerts
Saw this band four times in the 80's ~ BEST LIVE BAND EVER! KICK ASS ROCK AND ROLLERS! MARTIN CHAMBERS AND CHRISSY HYNDE!
I've seen them many times! My husband paid $300/per ticket way back when, and we had front row seats. Fabulous live.
That was just badass love that performance Chrissy you're the best the pretenders ROCK
..
Martin Chambers' drumming is as tight as ever!
NO, it's not. He's a great drummer ... but this wasn't a good night for him. The triplets throughout the intro? Just about all of the fills throughout this otherwise terrific performance? He just wasn't laying down anything close to a steady driving rhythm.
@@daveinindy Yeah. I think the band had to work around him there. The timing wasn't good. It happens. He's still a great drummer. I thought that kit sounded a bit dead, too.
So this is where Brendan Fraser ended up! Great tune! Brings me back to falling asleep every night to my first transistor radio. That's an AM/FM iPOD in the 70's in case anyone wonders.
The pretenders 🎸 rocks! They're awesome!
Wow... Not a huge Pretenders fan but 30 years later and at 66 years old she sounds exactly the same. Impressive
I’ve watched their recent set from the Glastonbury festival 2023 (UK) about 3 times. Phenomenal live set, excellent band and Chrissie - now 71 - completely outstanding! I’ve missed most of their UK shows this year but I’ve made myself a vow - just have to see this band live.
Chrissie Hynde still just rules. The list of female rockers she influenced is just endless....
Mark Boyd so true! Shirley Manson (of Garbage) has mentioned her many times!
NO DOUBT !! I was 17-26 years YOUNG from 1980-89 !!!! What a time indeed !!
As well as the males...
What list are you referring to? like Courtney Love?
Still rockin..
Rock on like always. I love the pretenders since high school. Class of 78 😊
