I honestly find the versions where Electra participates in the murder soooo much more satisfying. She feels like she has more reasons to kill her mother than Orestes does, he wasn't even there

The recognition by the hair, sort of enforcing the theme of the trilogy had of the connection of family. The house of Atreus was a descendant of Zeus, so maybe their hair is different. If you ever seen the 1983 Sir Peter Hall's production of the Oresteia, (available in youtube) translated superbly by Tony Harrison, the Libation scene is by far the most powerful scene of the trilogy. Could not felt it when reading in any translation but on stage by Hall direction, it was unforgettable. I think Aeschylus is full of hidden humor, the slave women were actually using the son avenging his father, as a way to avenge their cruel mistress and inflict further misery on the family of the Agamemnon.
As for Clythemnestra feeling sad or relief, I don't think Aeschylus know. The character is complex enough and that she could be feeling both.

To be precise, in Greek it is pronounced "Pilathis" (in a similar voice of "This is Sparta") because we speak "d" as "thi".
(You say Delta we say Thelta!!!)

It's interesting that you ask Greek speakers how to pronounce Pylades, since English pronunciations will be different from Greek pronunciations. I watched the movie _Iphigenia_ and listened to how the eponymous character's name was pronounced in Greek. It was something like If-ee-HANE-Ya, completely different from any English pronunciation that I had heard.

I'm discussing this play in my teaching course and... about Clytemnestra being glad or sad... why not both? We contain multitudes, right? She can be sad that her son is dead but also feel a weight of worry fall off her shoulders because she doesn't have to worry about him coming to kill her. And to add to that, she can be sad that she can't just simply mourn her son without also being slightly glad that he won't be coming to avenge his father... We don't always have to simplify the feelings :) there can be many many layers. Whether or not Aeschylus intended it that way ;)
