    The first time I built my home I also used the different tiles in weird ways to work around the limitations. I think I used the outer door tile to make a hallway on the second floor and used the water pond to create a l shaped roof for my second floor. It was very cute and had all the rooms you´d want to include in your house, but I don´t want to replicate it on my second playthrough and also don´t have the energy to create another home. So thank you for this schematic, I´ll replicate it as soon as I finish the quests around Taburasa

      I actually wanted to use the foyer unit to make some indoor closed rooms, but I just couldn't find a way to fit that in with the 15 room limit. If only we could use more than 15 rooms in our Dream Home!
      Anyways I'm glad you like my build and found it helpful! ☺

    I learned of a technique where you attach a foyer to a bedroom, thereby maximizing the space, but also providing a sense of privacy. I would love to incorporate that into this beautiful design!

    • @pseudoruto
      @pseudoruto  Рік тому +5

      Yeah I would have loved to incorporate some indoor foyers to make closed-off rooms! It was actually something I was playing around with when designing this build, but I couldn't find a good place to fit one while keeping to the 15-room limit and overall form factor for the exterior.
      Anyways I'm glad you liked my design! 🙂

    Really nice aesthetic, once I'm filthy rich I'd like to try some of these, always wondered how people were making windows.
    Also, I was terrified to even remove the weapon room at first, so had no idea he would actually store the weapons with it too. Now I can safely put away some of those legendary ones I refuse to use.

    I just finished building it and it does look really nice. I decided not to include the flowerbed though, used a second weapon room because I decided I wanted my horse inside, so now I'm wondering if there's a good way to include another weapon room and/or have the goddess statue indoors and not compromise it too much. Thinking the 2nd floor paddocks can go but then that ruins the view. I do want to display my weapon collection though including my glitched +10 attack 70 durability Champion weapons. • @pseudoruto
      @pseudoruto  Місяць тому

      I think I've seen one or two builds like that, actually! It can look quite nice! 🙂
      For me I did mess around briefly with the triangular rooms, but I wasn't satisfied with how the exterior shape of the house looked when I tried them. My goal was to build something that looked and felt homey inside and out, so I couldn't quite get one to fit aesthetically.
      The one thing I would have liked to include if our Dream Homes could incorporate more than 15 rooms would have been to use a few foyers indoors; they looked super cute that way but I just didn't have enough space to use them inside!

    Can you get the champions’ ballad photo after you’ve started TotK and get it to transfer into that existing TotK file? All my Champions’ Ballad play-throughs were in Master Mode :(. I’m currently replaying BotW in normal so I can start a new TotK file with the photo, but it’d be great if I could transfer into an existing TotK save by just completing CB in one of my other BotW normal mode saves, too.
    Lots of fantastic info in this vid!!!

    • @pseudoruto
      @pseudoruto  Рік тому +3

      I haven't personally tested it myself, but when I learned that the Champion's Ballad photo carried over from your BotW save file I did a little research and found a Reddit thread discussing it.
      According to that thread, it should transfer over even if you earn it retroactively after starting your TotK file. I'm guessing the check for it that transfers it over is just placing it in Link's house in BotW.
      The discussion in question was actually about it not carrying over from a Master Mode save file - I wonder if that was an oversight on Nintendo's part? 🤔 It's so strange that you have to earn it in normal mode, and can't have it transfer over from the higher difficulty setting.

    Why can't you get a bathroom? It would have been a perfect opportunity to do a "mysterious hand in toilet" gag like in Majora's Mask, and Skyward Sword. In BOTW, I thought that the bathroom was in that little attached brown building behind Link's house in Heteno Village....The room you couldn't go in to. Then I play TOTK, and go to the same house that Zelda took over, and the door back there is open, and it appears to be a storage area. My point is, where does Link use the bathroom? You can build nice houses in TOTK, yet no bathroom. I know I'm nitpicking, but it could have been a great opportunity to bring back the Hand in Toilet.

    • @pseudoruto
      @pseudoruto  4 місяці тому

      The lack of a bathroom for Link's house is an odd omission, for sure!
      And on a somewhat related note, you mentioning that is now making me seriously consider making a ghost hand custom code in Animal Crossing New Horizons so I can have a toilet hand ghost on the Zelda island I'm building 🤣

    I abused it. First floor is blank in the middle, surrounded by rooms. the main front is the entryway, the sides are half-cut off to the side of the entryway and are a kitchen and a weapon stand (left and right). attached to those was a shield room and another weapon room. So far I have a giant U. The back area was indoor stairs that half-cut-off the backhalf of the back two rooms (th top of the U's in this case). Second floor was similar but had a large square room in the center. At one point, there is no roof, and there is a rectangular gap. Im pretty sure this is because I off-set the top with the bottom, and in the extra bottom space, had stairs leading to the top.
    It sounds horrible, but for a small amount of space, I have like.. 3 weapon rooms? 2 shield rooms? 2 bow rooms? Whatever the MAX of those is, I have it. I also have a shrine, and a kitchen, an opening in the roof for quicker access to the second floor....
    basically its storage and upping hearts at the shrine. xD

      Thank you; I'm glad you like it! ☺Regarding the Champion's Ballad photo carry-over, I've read that it will carry over retroactively, as long as the BotW save file is set to normal difficulty (not sure if they ever fixed that to include save files set to Master Mode; you'd have to research that). Of course, I have not done it after the fact myself to 100% confirm that info, but if you'd like to read the discussion where I found that info originally you can find it on reddit here: www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/13kptz2/the_champions_ballad_picture_can_transfer_after/

    uh, you don't have a wall between the stable and the living room, which means the house stinks of horse manure. In addition, the interior of the house is not protected from rain due to the lack of a wall, which means that the house is cold, damp, and mold grows in the logs.

    • @pseudoruto
      @pseudoruto  7 місяців тому

      The only paddock with a horse in it is the outside one, which is enclosed and doesn't open out into any of the interior spaces. If you're referring to the ones that I turned upside-down to use as windowed rooms, then I'll just point out that they don't come pre-installed with horses lol.
      Sadly rooms with actual windows were not an option in this game, so to get a good view of the valley you have to fake windows with partially-open units. It's ok if you don't like that; everyone has different tastes 🙂That being said the view at sunrise is totally worth it ♥ - if you haven't seen it I have a tour video of this build that shows it!

My goal with this build was just to make something that felt like a real-world livable space. I think if I was going to edit this build into more of a functional space rather than an aesthetic homey sort of build, I'd probably swap out the gallery, bedroom, and maybe the downstairs paddock/window for mount rooms.

      If you're referring to the song that plays throughout the tutorial section of this video (and not the intro/outro music), then that's "Flying Minigame" from both TotK & BotW (although I think it was referred to as "Parasail" in the BotW OST).
      If you're referring to the intro/outro music, then that's "My Home" from the TotK OST, which is essentially a new version of the house theme from previous Zelda titles. I hope this helps! 🙂

    ok, but how do you get more units?

    • @pseudoruto
      @pseudoruto  Рік тому

      You can buy units directly from Grantéson. Tell him you'd like to start building, then talk to him again once in building mode and select the "I need more rooms" option. From there, he'll give you the option to buy/preview rooms or use a stored room. I hope this helps! 🙂

      Do you mean the front door/entryway? The unit with the door built in is called the "foyer;" I placed mine on the upper floor at the top of the outdoor stairs.

    Can anyone tell me how many rupees this was in total?

    • @pseudoruto
      @pseudoruto  26 днів тому

      I did the math for someone else ages ago who asked; checking my old comment I got a total of 5900 rupees for all of the rooms listed. I don't quite recall however if there was an up-front cost to buy the plot first, so it might actually cost a little bit more. Hope this helps! 🙂

      @@alisonxra Also just to clarify, 5900 rupees is for all the rooms listed. I think (?) I vaguely remember having to spend some amount of rupees to buy the dream home plot as well, but I can't remember how much. I suspect the 8000 rupees you have should cover all of the costs though!
