I find it's the best design show that exists and I watch all of them. The only one where the house has so much character and warmth and feels already lived in. It's timeless, not too modern, not too vintage.
They are the perfect team because we can see the creator (Erin) and the constructor (Ben) combined. The architect and the engineer working together, nothing beats that. And they take in consideration the client and not only the trends, but also the love for the history of they're clients and the place they're working in.
This is one of the best transformation u have done. The living room n padio outside n kitchen r totally the outstanding features. God bless u all n Mrs Barns with good health happiness n loooooooooong life
Love that their design is a reflection of the homeowner’s taste, not that of the designer. They build to suit the client, and Ben and Erin’s pleasure in getting to know them, and the reciprocation is evident. Congratulations to everybody!!
Yea makes it more interesting and sustainable. They also use mementos etc to give it a personal touch. Love this couples approach much better than similar shows where each house ends up looking identical.

I much prefer the way this couple renovates homes compared to the way Chip and JoAnna Gaines did. Erin and Ben treat each house uniquely and bring out the original feeling of the homes they renovate. The Gaines made the interiors of all of their homes look the same and they got pretty boring and predictable--shabby chic farmhouse with white shiplap walls, etc. (I still enjoyed their show, though, and am sad it's off of the air.)
Isn't this the couple who redid their own home, got hired by neighbors to do theirs and was picked up by this HGTV? Just can't figure out why the wife is in there. Not to be mean, but I have to hit the mute button. Congrats guys -- what a story!

The neighborhood kids learned "my" rules real quickly. And had respect for me, and I loved them back.
