- Epirus Leonidas is meant to stop drone swarms with a high-power microwave beam. It has an Army contract. We explore what the company is offering the Navy.
2:34 "If it flys it dies."😁
Counter measures for drones will be available to counter this attack tactic.
which only USA has effectivley been able to do in real life combat operations many times.
Kounteract
Test these in Ukraine vs Russian drones.
I'd love to see this in our country. No shaheds would terrorise us anymore.
@@torgath5088 looks more like a point-defence system, not sure about the range.
@@cyrildanilchenko6776 then possibly could be used to shield power plants, like nuclear power plants, for example, I guess.
@@torgath5088 we'll take a thousand pieces, please 😹
Likely wouldn't happen for OPSEC reasons. High risk of capture and reverse engineering by Putin boiz (although frankly the technology seems super simple on its face. Big magnetron with lots of power I assume)
U can also toast land that’s hi value like Maui
Solidstate? Or tubes? Klystons or twt?
All These Metallic Spheres Being Hyped As UAP Is All Man Made
what about an emp burst like flak
I Need 4 Invisible Walls With A Door, Solid Invisible Rolling Foundation?
X band?
Oh, General Dynamics again.
No details about range. Is at least 1000m?
it has a range of 5km ;)
These are no joke. When first tested back in the 1990's. Troops miles ahead of the zone instantly crapped thier pants from the frequency. Imagine a EMP of the lower sound waves. Everything looses it function ability.
How well does it microwave people ?
Look at maui perfect example
I dont know how well this would work. For really big antiship misiles or ICBMs, a directed energy weapon could probably handle them.
We've seen how wildly effective the javelin is though. It really changes the cost benefit analysis for armor. Could we use a directed energy weapon, not to destroy an incoming missile, but to make it detonate prematurely????
I mean these things DO have circuits. I was thinking maybe find the right frequency to ignite the primer or something, but could we even just use microwaves to fry the guidance system?
I don't wanna just do Raytheon stuff. That's fun. That can be a hobby. I want a real fucking job.
what frequency?
Somewhere in the microwave range I assume lol
Could they simply not cover the electronics with aluminum foil on cheep drones to mitigate the affects of this weapon? It has been proven effective so at distance could it not work?
You mean like a Faraday cage. It is not clear, but maybe this new High-power microwaves are able to emit so much energy per time that they could overwhelm the metal conductor covering them so that it isn't effective anymore. Of course, we must look their effectiveness once it is further tested.
Drones need antennas to operate, that antenna cannot be caged in any way that prevent signal from getting in, and aluminium foil do just that.
This is why microwave is bonkers as anti-electronic weapon. Everything digitized and networked is vulnerable.
Can we give some systems to Ukraine? Excellent testing for the system and live feedback
Emmisions can be picked upand anti radiation means couteri g.
Anti radiation guidedmunitions .the AizZguidedglide bombs with subs probable.
A satetite liked mutipoint piggy backed entangling like the PESA
And your cars pcm? 😂😂
These private-government contracts will come home to roost, as us country people say.
It's gonna bite me & you in the butt in the end.
It already is. The government is already using this against civilians.
Made with S.T.O.L.E.N T.E.C.H from NICOLA TESLA obviously is his Design! Shame!
Not really, no
China already had this, bro🤣
