ONCE I got the yellow spitball stuck. It was because I had not pressed the valve all the way down when I tried to blow it through. Had to fuss with it for a bit, but it came out. Ultimately I just pressed the valve the rest of the way down and it cut the foam in half!
@@dwerden Thanks Dave! It may have seemed like a silly question to some but some of my horns with extra rotors for key changes made me wonder if there was a chance that I'd get one stuck somewhere. Other than that concern, I think those foam ones are brilliant!
Thanks I'm definitely going to add this to my cleaning routine!
I bought a Chinese flugelhorn that actually plays very well. I used BlowDry Brass on it. It pulled a whole bunch of black stuff out of the horn.
Do the BlowDry bits come in different sizes or is it "one size fits all?" This is something that I definitely want to try!
Just one size, but I plan to urge the company to produce one that is a better fit for euphoniums.
Have you ever had one of those foam or fuzzy balls get lost or stuck in the horn.

What is the black brush?
It is from the HW Products cleaning kit (includes a pull-through swab and the dual-headed brush):
