    I have a small house. The living room is separated ftom the kitchen and dining area by a partial partition wall. Quiet was a key selling point for me. I have to say that you have to look at the time remaining display to even know that it's running!

    Good video. We just ordered this over a Bosch 300 because the Bosch has no delicate cycle. People complained about Bosch's racks. We like the timer on top and on the front, plus the door pop for drying. Wifi feature is cool. My old dishwasher had heated dry and it didn't really dry that great.

      Thanks and hope it works great for you. I have had lots of clients install Bosch dishwashers in their office space over the years. While that brand looks great and has a modern feel, they seem to always have issues...atlest that has been my experience with Bosch.

    • @PUREreviews
      @PUREreviews  3 роки тому +1

      @Ronald McFondle I have not had issues with the Samsung and it has been working great. If you are talking about the Bosch we have had a few of them have electrical issues and the circuit boards have had to be replaced. We have also had one of them leak, but in all fairness, these are the ADA size units used in office space and not a house if that matters.

    • @PUREreviews

      Thanks, for the tabs I would say it is a medium level squeeze if you will. You should not have to use a ton of force and if it is high the rack will simply lower. If it is low pull up after hitting the tabs until it locks back into place. I hope that helps.

      Thanks. I do still have it and I do still love the dishwasher. I have not had any trouble with it and have only had to clean the filter at the bottom once after I switched a crappy dish soap. I do run the clean cycle when it asks, so that helps keep it looking great. If your old dishwasher uses a heating coil to dry that would be a change as this one air dried. My glasses, plates, silverware are always dry, but anything with plastic sometimes is still wet right when it finishes.

      So I have had it over a year and it works great. I also have never had issues with anything. I am sure like any appliance some people get a bad ones as it seems to be the case with any brand u read about now of days. For the wet part it depending on how humid of a place u live in as some items will still be wet after the door pops open, mostly plastic wear for me. This is because it uses air drying and a fan to dry vs heating to evaporate the water...i.e. lower energy. I would still buy it again in a heart beat.

      I always hit the start button and then close it, so yes that will work as does hitting the start button once it is closed. For the high temp, select the normal cycle and than just hit the high temp button and it will light up. If you change modes to say Heavy the high temp button will turn off and you will have to hit it again, so always do the cycle first.

    How does the drying compare to heated drying?

    • @PUREreviews
      @PUREreviews  2 роки тому

      Everything is dry personally for me except for stuff made of plastic. Sometimes the plastic does not dry unless you leave it for maybe an hour after it is done. With that said I live in a very humid city, so that would affect the air-drying time. The whole point of air drying (runs a fan to move air around) is they use a lot less energy vs heat drying...so if that matters to you keep that in mind.

    Hello , i have heard from friends that this dishwasher doesnt dry dishes and there is still water left even after auto door opening feature and even when the cycle has completed overnight, have you experienced that thing?

    • @PUREreviews
      @PUREreviews  3 роки тому +2

      It does not have a heating coil to dry and instead uses an air circulation fan to dry. The more humid your house is the longer it takes that moisture to evaporate. With that said, the majority of the time when I run it the dishes, silverware, etc are all dry when the door pops open. The only items not dry are some plasticware items and spots that can collect water, like a coffee cup. I personally like to run it overnight since it is so quiet you never hear it. When I run it overnight everything is always dry by the morning and I live in a humid city. Hope that helps.

    The problem with Samsung and LG when it comes to dishwashers is long term reliability. Consumer Reports has both brands with a 3 out of 5 in their "Predicted reliability" area. I personally had a nightmare experience with an LG dishwasher I bought in 2020 and due to that I will never buy anything LG again. Even though my dishwasher was only 7 months old and it had failed more than 4 times LG dragged its feet taking it back. It's unacceptable to have a customer with an unusable brand new dishwasher for almost 2 months but that is what LG support did. For what is worth I've read that Samsung dishwashers are more reliable than LGs.

      It is best to look at the manual for or exact model number, but for the one in this video you need to turn the gray plastic piece in the center clockwise. You will see it is the part around the silver screen and in the middle of the dishwasher...you will also see an arrow. Once this part is removed you can pop out the filter and clean it. I always wash off food chunks before placing my dishes in the dishwasher, so that keeps the filter clean....just fyi. Hope this helps.

    • @PUREreviews
      @PUREreviews  Рік тому

      I alway do the controls, hit start and then close it which is how I think it is supposed to be done since they are on the top. Mine is not installed clean like it should be. When we bought our house the people before us did a cheap remodel of the kitchen and we are missing the wood trim pieces above the dishwasher. Anything we put there would not match and we have nothing to screw it into...it is all very annoying, but it is what it is.

    • @CBBC435
      @CBBC435 6 місяців тому

      I have standard depth cabinets. The plumber installed mine, saying that he could not get the machine any further into the cabinet space.
      Oh yes, you can. After he left, I took it back out and put it back in so that the top and sides of the door extend just 1/2" beyond the cabinet doors and countertop.
      First thing, a 'pancake style' electric cord plug (if you're using a plug, not hardwired) allows the cord to lay flat against the wall.
      Second, the drain hose must run along the underside of the recess at the bottom back of the machine, and the water supply line runs alongside the drain house in the same recessed area at the bottom back. Use zip ties to position them together. I even drilled a small hole into an extended edge of the plastic housing in the back, just to get another zip tie in to hold the drain hose and supply line together where they enter the cabinet holes. This made it so that the drain hose and supply line do not extend beyond the back face of the dishwasher. So, your hole saw holes in your cabinet must be at the same level as the recessed area at the bottom back of the dishwasher. The holes will be at the interior bottom of the cabinet, at about the same height as the recess that the drain hose follows (at the inside floor or bottom shelf of the sink cabinet), the drain hose hole beneath the water supply hose hole. That means that your 'high loop' for the drain hose must occur inside the sink base cabinet (if you're not using an air gap device). Zip ties made it all possible. The only caveat (if your sink is to the right of the dishwasher) is that your high loop might not be high enough, because the drain hose is not long enough. If your sink is to the right of the dishwasher then you m ay have to add a drain hose extension kit, or replace the existing hose with an 8' version. I have sent a question to Samsung about the availability of a drain hose extension kit (Bosch has one for their's and it looks like it could eork).
      If your sink is on the left of the dishwasher, then your installation is merely using the recess at the back bottom of the machine and your hose will be long enough for the high loop inside the sink base cabinet.

    • @CBBC435
      @CBBC435 6 місяців тому

      @PUREreviews You don't need trim at the top above the dishwasher. You have to raise the feet so that the outside flap/gasket on the top meets the underside of your countertop. This will still allow venting of the air diverter fan at the top of the unit. You'll see a plastic housing with rectangular vent holes alongside the top of the washer and the flap/gasket is above that. You raise the feet so that the flap/gasket meets the underside of the countertop. Aside from that, if your unit was installed correctly, you should see a moisture barrier applied to the underside of the countertop. This looks like a wide strip of contact paper (vynil self-adhesive strip, or foil) that protects the underside of your countertop from the rising moisture of the dishwasher door.

      Glad you found the video helpful! So ours is wet when the door pops open, but no standing water on the bottom or anything. I guess anything is possible, but I would have a hard time seeing that happen. The door is more open at the top then the bottom. If a pet got in the crack it would push the door down and even open the door more. It also does not auto close, so something would have to push the door back up to close it and latch it again. Ontop of all that your pet would have to squeeze around the newly cleaned dishes too.
