Magnificent mountain hopefully one day I may just summit it!
I know the feeing Murray. I tried to camp on Bidean a Ghlas Thuill and was beaten by the weather. It got dark and I camped at the beallach in a storm, 60-70mph winds. My worst night on the mountains - eventually fell asleep at 4AM through sheer exhaustion. Had to weight the tent down with boulders, the wind was ripping the tent pegs out the ground. But I went back later and camped at Loch Toll an Lochan and had a great time. Great video as always.
Hi John, reading your experience, I kinda feel better about not camping now :) Ive had a few of those night and they can be a little unsettling!! Enjoying you photos on flickr sir - keep up the good work

I'm a bit late watching this one 😁 Oh my, how fabulas is that ? What a great reward for doing the hike. It's all l can do to carry a bag o tatties, never mind all that gear. I cant really manage Winter hikes, with all the stuff you need, in case, but more than happy for you to do it for your super videos. Thanks as always Murray, Alioban x
Great stuff, I'm currently living in flat and mountain-less Latvia, but I do miss the trips I used to take to the Highlands when I was living in Northern Ireland. These videos are vicarious hikes for me. World class photography too.

I hope to camp there in a few months it looks fantastic , i would have camped lower down i like abit of rough weather. Great drone footage , i going to try mine this year or throw it the bin LOL !!! GREAT STUFF.

Good stuff Murray and some great photographs. Good idea on marking with GPS. Put my bag down one in Gorm's and didn't go far and nearly couldn't find it again.
haha - yes I nearly lost my camera gear on Garbh Bheinn in Ardgour, it was so cold the batteries all died so I decided to ditch the bag half way as I was knackered - must have taken me over an hour to relocate as the blizzard had set in by the time I descended !! lol - lesson learned !!

The very definition of a wild camp up there. Beautiful place, Ben Hope remains the best place for me as it's an awe inspiring view to look from the road straight up and the distinction between the grassy valley and lake and then this large mountain springing up seemingly out of nowhere. The best part of the Ullapool area is the roads are pretty decent lol, its the bad part of the north and north west, the roads are really pretty poor in places

Hi Murray. Just want to say how much I (and my family) love all your videos. Absolutely magnificent. You take me to places and heights that I can only dream of. Today however, I have decided to stop just dreaming and have just ordered a Scarp 2 tent after weeks of researching! Thanks for the inspiration. I always look out for you and your drone when I am out in the hills. It's a bit of a family joke now! Can't wait to get out and spend some time doing some real wild camping. Thanks.

Stunning! Was just there just over a week ago - probably around the same time judging by the amazing weather. Walked from An Teallach through the fisherfield forest, over the maiden, to the edge of Beinn Eighe. Is this the finest land in Britain or is the Cuillin more majestic?
Good point (I think the Cuillin edge it for m , ) but the a view to one mountain - this is hard to beat :)Thanks for watching
