In the Air Force we good-naturedly nicknamed the Bronco the SlowV-10. 😂 Peril of being a turboprop on a fighter base, lol. Regardless, I've always loved this quirky bird!
The former head of the state of Washington aeronautics department had one of these and about 20 other aircraft that only he was allowed to fly. It must be nice to be an Elite.
@@thisisbroncocountry This would have to have been around 1975-1980. All of those aircraft were kept on the south east side of BFI. That probably doesn’t help but that’s all I know.
They were used for firefighting. Both with BLM in Alaska, and Calfire. I think they could carry some active firefighting measures, but were mostly used for spotting and guiding other elements.
Funny enough, the Beureau of Land Management did have a number of these Broncos in Alaska. I think they were used in spotting fires and guiding tankers to the fire.

Wow, neet propeller effect of red/white at 7:13> 7:20 of it going backward. Chino area is home flying turf. Love the machine, as a great visual platform to fly... Do wonder about what their acrobatic capabilities of them>? Seen many in shows but not many doing acrobatic maneuvers, but they have done all kinds of crazy attitudes of flying but not doing any extreme acrobatics...
Cockpit looks so spacy, unlike most other aircraft really gives you a different feeling. Like the biiiiig observer windows on a pby catalina. Love it.
The OV10 D Bronco is an amazing, affordable , multi-use platform with endless potential..😊
Man, that puppy really does *launch* off the line, and 11 seconds to rotation.,.
Very nice. My old home field!! Loved Chino....best GA airport in the country!
Graceful aircraft and wonderful flying

We had them at Shaw AFB, along with the F-16 which I worked on. Thought they were kinda cool little hot rod turbo prop.
Gotta love STOl aircraft!!!
I thought a Beech 1900 pulled hard . Which , they do - But this thing … wow !😊
Thank you for sharing. God bless.
You are so welcome
Air Force Pilots ! A lot the same - Power stays way , way up ! Nice to watch ‘em . 😅
I watched this, got jealous...then went and flew "mine" in MSFS 2020. Lucky you.
Going to be doing the same thing soon!
@@mountjoy23 Me too!!
Easy Peasy when you got a big fat Heshey Bar for wing and the power of a locomotive to drag you around the sky.
That would be a fun flight indeed. Next time I’m in the LA area will look into a ride for sure

We would love to find that Washington airframe!

Living the dream there. Did this aircraft fly through the Minden, NV area a week or two ago? I saw an OV-10 fly by, it was very cool to see.
Coolest aircraft ever made.
They should bring an upgraded NOGS version back as V-22 escort
Suggestion -plug your radio/com into your Gopro.
Good idea!, I plan to reinvest money into buying more cameras and audio equipment.
Pistons idle,
Jets idle,
Helicopters idle,
Turboprops sound like they should towed to the runway before the engines are started!
Sun burn ? Yeah , don’t forget your hat ! Boonie hat - plus water .
It makes me wonder if these could be used effectively for firefighting?
If they can be used they would be a great fast attack aircraft!

How can we book a ride?
Is that one privately owned?
Yes it is.
I think I’m gonna be sick. Looks like it’s easy to fly. ?
I wonder why these haven't become bush planes in Alaska or other remote areas that need a plane that will haul more goods than a Cub or Cessna?
Costs!

are those factories on the ground?
Taxi was longer than the flight!
Then stay tuned. A much longer flight video will air tomorrow.
I want the monuments valley flight please and thank you
How about showing us the plane?
