Hi Todd. I love this idea. My two cents for what it’s worth: I wouldn’t put tv’s at the bar. I think that will take away from the elegance and ambiance of the steakhouse/seafood theme. I’d keep it clean, simple and elegant.
I think the TV's would be fine at the bar, as long as you don't install more than two and don't blast the volume so that the ambience remains intimate upon entering

I would suggest they don't stray away from the formula that other welll knoown steak and seafood houses that have been successful at just because they are a black owned. It will attract a better customer of all hues, tvs are for sports bar in my opinion and it sounds like Todd wants to bring elegance to the area.

Congratulations on your new adventure! As a foodie and marketer, just some advice that you absolutely can take or leave. 1) The curtain idea for private parties is not the best solution. Other diners will not want to hear the amount of noise coming from large parties. Maybe consider barn doors that can be made more modern with frosted glass for privacy. This will help everyone enjoy their experience. 2) While it’s great to be hopeful, my clients are planning to move permanently into how you can operate in separate yet safe ways. You may want to consider online or digital ordering to eliminate touching menus. Also, putting up sheets between tables so ppl can see but it helps with the feeling of separation and distancing. It could have a sexy vibe as well. 3) Not sure if you have a logo but you mentioned wood fire and water. The decor and the brand story should have those elements repeated throughout. Have different wood art pieces and have some indoor water elements maybe an indoor fountain since you have a koy pond outside. It would tie the interior and exterior together. It would also make a stronger brand statement. Good luck!

The indoor spot the "Atrium" at Blaze...That wall OVER the bar, my suggestion, just paint it BLACK and let it disappear into the ceiling. Keep the eyes down into the bar area...much more relaxed and intimate. It costs nothing and you could always change it later is you get an inspiration. Just some of my thoughts...you obviously KNOW what you are doing!
Too many tv’s makes a restaurant feel like a sports bar instead of a nice restaurant. When I think steakhouse I think clean lines, high-end, a nice soft ambience. it seems you are mixing sports bar and steakhouse.

This option can also safeguard any potential risk of profit loss. It may not seem like a luxury dining feature. But, it will set your business up to thrive in the event of any unforeseen issues.
Have you thought of doing the electronic sliding glass doors that would allow you to extend your patio section. On the large wall I like the projector ideal and feature upcoming artist work.

Working Cameras in important areas, and slip-frree mats/rugs at entrances and exits. Also nice nature pictures ; ie: water, greenery, birds, etc., with soft instrumental music playing.
Todd the projector idea is awesome to display artwork. It could double as a place to show photos if someone was having a small wedding reception, repast, or poetry night etc the options are endless. This has given me vision for my future venue. Blessings to you and your beautiful family.
For the wall use a projector for artwork and u can use it to run ads to have another stream of income coming in the restaurant like liquor, Kandi products vacation spots and upcoming events.
Todd, I suggest you change the doorway to the private room. Make it more modern by adding a barn door or modernizing that arch. I also recommend you find a welder or purchase welded artwork for that huge mural sized wall up top. Concrete counters would be a great replacement for the dated granite that was there before. They’ll look great at the bar too. Outdoor dining with concrete fire pits would be a great asset to the restaurant instead of outdoor lounging. Since it’s a restaurant and not a bar. An attractive color scheme would be grayish-blue, black, dark red and orange and burnt orange. I’m a Leo too and I’m beginning to think that I’m not the only one whose brain runs nonstop with ideas. Great ideas for your new restaurant! However, I recommend your private dining area be closed off from the main restaurant with elegant doors. Private dining is a great asset to your business. You can still add sliding curtains to give guest privacy. When people reserve private gatherings in a restaurant they prefer not to hear the noise of the entire restaurant or the restaurant to hear their party in private dining. Also, a nice BLAZE fireplace would be nice in your private dining area. Keep up the good work.

I love the private dinning room. You should put a sliding door on it, instead of the curtain and put folding glassing doors from the restaurant to the patio so if you want to open it up you can. Definitely put up a mural on that wall. Find a way to incorporate Blaze into it. Lastly, since you're putting the projector in the patio space, you can market it to businesses for a lunch meeting space.
Todd, in Germany we've halted most of our COVID spread and have returned to semi-normal life, but when we first moved to the phase for food service openings, this is what restauranteurs did to help protect their patrons, employees, and families: they cut the capacity for how many people could dine inside to provide enough social distancing. Lanes to bathrooms, cashiers, hostess, etc. are floor marked with measurement lines to encourage people to stand apart. Outside space is utilized as much as possible for al fresco dining and circulation of air. When inside, all patrons are required to wear a mask unless they are seated at their dining table...and lastly, all patrons fill out cute little "contact sheets" on entry to the establishment; the contact sheets are organized by DATE, so that if a known COVID case arrives at your place of business, patrons who were there that day can be immediately traced & contacted as an act of good faith, and they can handle themselves accordingly (here we would be immediately tested and quarantined to slow the spread, but I understand you guys have zero help from the government on this). Wishing you and Kandi the best on this new venture, you guys and your business acumen make me super proud to be American at a time when we're looking real crazy out here in these international streets. 🍸👍🏽🍸

I love the private dinning room. You should put a sliding door on it, instead of the curtain and put folding glassing doors from the restaurant to the patio so if you want to open it up you can. Definitely put up a mural on that wall. Find a way to incorporate Blaze into it. Lastly, since you're putting the projector in the patio space, you can market it to businesses for a lunch meeting space.

Todd, in Germany we've halted most of our COVID spread and have returned to semi-normal life, but when we first moved to the phase for food service openings, this is what restauranteurs did to help protect their patrons, employees, and families: they cut the capacity for how many people could dine inside to provide enough social distancing. Lanes to bathrooms, cashiers, hostess, etc. are floor marked with measurement lines to encourage people to stand apart. Outside space is utilized as much as possible for al fresco dining and circulation of air. When inside, all patrons are required to wear a mask unless they are seated at their dining table...and lastly, all patrons fill out cute little "contact sheets" on entry to the establishment; the contact sheets are organized by DATE, so that if a known COVID case arrives at your place of business, patrons who were there that day can be immediately traced & contacted as an act of good faith, and they can handle themselves accordingly (here we would be immediately tested and quarantined to slow the spread, but I understand you guys have zero help from the government on this). Wishing you and Kandi the best on this new venture, you guys and your business acumen make me super proud to be American at a time when we're looking real crazy out here in these international streets. 🍸👍🏽🍸

I think tinted glass instead of curtains because soft surfaces hold smells and germs more than the glass would. and the glass can also help sound reduction and possibly safety
