This is part of the genius of the Romantics. No different to rock n roll. What starts as a 'win' very quickly for what appears to be the in-group, very swiftly becomes apparent as having been a way to clear the path for future destruction (and the dismantling of the very thing that was used to clear the way. In music, it's 'genres' of pop music: from rock to punk, from hair metal to indie, until everything is just variations of hip hop. For the Empire, it was stoking up the regions and telling them they could be nations within the union. It never really happened and it certainly never will now.

There has been a concerted attack from the universities on 'Celtic' pointing to DNA links to Basque as 'evidence' that Celts themselves were a multiculti conglomeration from everywhere and nowhere. Lurid newspaper headlines claiming Scots share DNA with Berbers and Tuareg is the same. The fact that this 'shared DNA' only goes back as far as the 1700s and is entirely related to the slave trade doesnt seem to occur to them as relevant.

    1. This land of my fathers is dear to me
Land of poets and singers, and people of stature
    Her brave warriors, fine patriots
    Shed their blood for freedom
    Chorus:
Land! Land! I am true to my land!
As long as the sea serves as a wall
    For this pure, dear land
May the language endure for ever.
    2. Old land of the mountains, paradise of the poets,
    Every valley, every cliff a beauty guards;
Through love of my country, enchanting voices will be
Her streams and rivers to me.
    3. Though the enemy have trampled my country underfoot,
The old language of the Welsh knows no retreat,
The spirit is not hindered by the treacherous hand

All these politicians trying to out do each other on how woke can can be will be the end of us. We will back in the stone age, before you can raise a flag with a crescent moon on it.

From what I can see from my own experience as a Welshman through and through I haven't seen much effort by those moving into the area to learn Welsh or have respect for its customs. In fact, some have attempted to enforce their beliefs when they have only lived in the area for a short while. There is a conflict that I have noticed myself, the attitude of newcomers seems less welcoming. Anyone who claims that the Welsh language is dying needs to do some research. My nephew was born in England but came back to Wales when his mother did. I am glad to say that the local schools take learning the Welsh language very seriously. I am impressed by the standard of Welsh that has to be understood and learned as part of their studies. I lived in Cardiff for a number of years and I can say that being fluent in Welsh was advantageous when applying for jobs.

Wales is such a beautiful and underrated place. I drove from North to South yesterday through miles and miles of rolling hills and picturesque countryside.

Are you a Mogg fan (going by your picture)?
You know he supports our demographic replacement too? Just as enthusiastically as every other ‘Conservative’ politician. Just because mental leftists call him a Fascist doesn’t mean he is (unfortunately for us!).
Agree that Wales is absolutely lovely, I’m Scottish but was lucky enough to live in Chester which is, I guess sort of Welsh… 😂 we’d drive across the ‘border’ loads on Summer weekends though.

@@thejedsterYT there have been lots of good politicians in the past! We’re so beaten down these days that we forget it’s possible. it’s all about who put them in power. Unfortunately under liberal-capitalism, big business will *never* be ‘letdown’.
On the other hand, when the people of Italy & Germany, for example, put their men in the driving seat ~100 years ago they got leaders that literally died serving the people. It’s all about expectation. But memeability is very important too :)
