Just a heads up, apologies for any late responses this week/weekend. I am out of the country on vacation and have limited access to wifi. Hope you enjoy the deck techs!
Would you mind adding what cards you would take out for the upgardes or a link to the upgrated version of the deck for these old decks you have? Would really like to know what would go out for what.
I run her myself, and a few of my favorite obscure cards are: Rapacious One (5R 5/4 trample, makes Eldrazi Spawn for each damage it gets through) Nacatl Warpride (3GGG 3/3, must be blocked, and by one creature, makes copies of itself on attack equal to defending player's creature count) Thunderblade Charge (2R bolt that can be cast from grave for 3RR whenever you deal combat damage to a player) Pyreheart Wolf (2R 1/1 undying, gives your board menace when it attacks) Roar of Challenge (2G sorcery, Lure effect with Ferocious buff to give indestructible) Majestic Myriarch (4G with p/t equal to 2x your creatures and gets all their keywords in combat - it gets stupid huge) Tower of Calamities (4 mana artifact the has 8, tap: nuke creature for 12)
I clearly have been collecting a mi ute when I have all of the upgrades and the commander. Just gotta get the rest. Btw, one of my high school students in my gaming club bought your wall deck. Keep doing what you are doing. You're getting more people into the greatest format ever.
One other suggestion for a small upgrade would be slate of ancestry. At 2.93 and 4 mana it lets you discard your hand, and draw a card for each creature you control. Since it is an artifact this is a repeatable and fantastic for digging through your deck. quickly. Swing out generating a lot of mana, play all your creatures from it, then cycle your hand out for a new hand of gas. I've used this in an elf deck for years where it is really easy to end up empty handed, and having a repeatable effect to refill is amazing
With the amount of Mana you can generate here, flamebreath effects like Ember-Eye Wolf and Dragon Whisperer are great, but my own golden pig is Captivating Crew, 4 mana to steal a creature to generate more damage and more mana.
Loved it, but i think that you could add some other win conditions like fireball and other x red damage spells. With the amount of mana it generates, you can swing for lethal to a player and do a 20 or 30 fireball to another
I had to pause it at 05:10 to ask: What would you say to Hammer of Purphoros being in here? It's only $.49 right now, so it's still budget. Edit: Also, speaking of Hanweir, what would you think about Melding it? For me at least, it's hard to say no, haha.
Grand warlord radha is an absolutely awesome commander option, personally I feel that two really good cards to put into this deck is Rhythm of the Wild and Wilderness reclamation as the first one make creatures you control can't be countered and creatures enter with Riot(+1 +1 counter or haste) and Wilderness reclamation says at the beginning of your endstep untap all lands you control
friend tried building a radah deck. I wasn't set on my gruul deck so I decided to make one too. Reminds me a lot of high school and thing this could POSSIBLY go competitive with how much ramp it has. Just hope I can play answers in red/green.
I think Abundance or Hibernation's End might be good card advantage. Or Glissa Sunseeker might be a good replacement for artifact destruction. And Mitotic Slime for tokens. Either they let you swing with it each turn or it gets worse and worse for them. Abundance lets you draw into whatever you need and/or let's you arrange your library any way you want, plus disallows you from milling yourself. Hibernaton's End is slow, but could reasonably ramp to get out all of your mana dorks so you don't draw into them later on. And Glissa works perfectly with Radha's ability. Omanth, Locus of Mana would've been perfect, too, if he wasn't so expensive. The only problem with all of these is they all require some set-up to get going.
Looking back in time for an older deck tech from my favorite deck builder, I have a radha deck in the pipes just wanted to come back and see if I'm missing any neat synergies.
This deck list will help my ulasht, the hate seed deck. It also wants a lot of creatures. Also riskar, peema renegade with rhythm of the wild or path to discovery is really strong for ramping
Yeah..so here I'm sitting. Last monday I was at my LGS thinking about buying this Commander Card but thought I wouldn't build a deck around it. Now I'm seeing this deck tech and hating me for not picking it up. Still awesome video again. As always.
I dont know how much it costs but copperhorn scout is a creature I run in my deck because it untaps all your other creatures when it attacks and so can give your team pseudo vigilance letting you defend as well as attack
While on the topic of Gruul, any chance in the future we could see a Hydra tribal Deck? It would be pretty neat, plus there are a few eligible commanders like Ulasht or Rosheen Meander to help get it started. Radha would definitely be great as well.
Depends on the hydra really. Some can be bought relatively cheap like Mistcutter hydra and heroes bane from the theros block. Although ones like Savageborn and Kalonian Hydras are up there. Even if it isn't necessarily built within a $25 budget, expanding it would be neat as a $100 Break the Bank standalone deck .
I run a "Modern brawl" deck (Commader with 60 cards because I'm a new player) with Radha as a commander and token + hydra package. Fun part: It's hilarious to create a 24/24 apocalypse hydra and give her trample with agressive mammoth or equip mage slayer. If you have an helm of the host and manage to make 4 or 5 Radha you can Banefire for 50 in the face. Less fun part: Totaly destroyed by board wipes right now. Tokens don't stick around for too long after your first attack. You paint a huge target on your face once you get one slightly big hydra on the board. But it's a lot of fun and my deck is faaaaar from perfect. I play casually with friends but the concept of it is hilarious ^^
My Grand Warlord Radha EDH is much more Elf-centric, essentially being Elf Fireball. Doublestrike intstants and pump spells can be pretty good, along with big fiery bombs. Making Radha unblockable and ratcheting up her power can lead to lethal commander quite quickly. Bloodrush effects also present an alternative where fogs and other aggro deflection methods are needed to stave off the damage. There's also Mina and Denn Wildborn along with Tana the Bloodsower for more Gruul colored elf legendaries. Provided you decide to do a kicker spell-centric version of the deck, Hallar the Firefletcher can be effective as well. Heck, make a Hallar EDH with Grand Warlord Radha as part of the 99. The deck could use a Hoardsmelter Dragon and a Flameblast Dragon along with a Stonewright, but my build has no room left, even though those creatures provide extra creature generated mana with Grand Warlord Radha on the field.
Goreclaw, Caustic Caterpillar, Viridian Zealot and Thrashing Brontodon fit right in here. I'd play them over some of the mana hungry token makers. Kraul Harpooner is also pretty good with haste enablers. If the game takes long, he gets really big. Primordial Sage might also be worth in here. The new Cindervines and Rhythm of the Wild are amazing, but sadly both just over $1. Nikya of the Old Ways and Sunder Shaman are really good as well and both under $0.5.
another great one. I really like these Timmy decks that just have huge creatures that attack all the time. it might not be very effectibve all the time but it's great fun. Also.. no Hanweir battlments? it gives target creature hase for 1 red, also, if you meld it with Hanweir garrison it becomes a huge creature. another great creature to add would be Archetype of Agression. for 6GG you get a 6/5 that makes all your creatures hexproof, including itself, so only spells that don't target them can remove them. However, that one is around 3 $ so it belongs in the upgrade section.
Hey Mitch! Just want to say that I enjoy your deck techs and I've bought 3 of them so far from TCGPLAYER. I know this deck is a few months old, but I was curious what some of the cards you would take out for the reasonable upgrades. Thanks again for all the awesome decks. You do a great job!
My boi Mitch had everybody fooled thinking it was Nikya, coming out swinging with Radha. I like the deck. Thinking about suggesting it to one of my students. I love that you’re making the budget decks which makes it all so much more accessible to broke teenagers
THIS IS THE CARD I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOOOOR!!!! You see, I have looking to make a dragon tribal with atarka, world render, and d there is a combo, that would have almost been infinite, with the cards savage ventmaw, and hellkite charger, but that wpuld make it one mana short, now, we do have mana
I didnt see rhythm of the wild on the list any particular reason it should be around 20 cents and it can also protect your creatures from counters while giving then haste or +1/+1 counters it doesnt give tokens the effect but still sounds good for the deck
Guttural Response can ensure you get your big bois onto the board. Legion Loyalist might be considered as a reasonable upgrade, especially if your playgroup has a lot of token decks.
Looks like a fun deck, I've been thinking on making a Gruul or Jund deck. Couple Jund Commanders I have been looking at are Shattergang Brothers and Thantis the Warweaver. Maybe you could make a budget deck out of either of them?
Another card that budget is rythems of the wild it would be very good for this deck allowing creatures always entering the battle field and can attack same turn or buff
About the comment about Slivers on the last video, the price is way too high to make anything (but if you can do it that means you are a god at deckbuilding)
Thanks for giving me an idea on how I can build the deck. Been pondering about her for a while. Buy why didn't you add that new gruul enchantment that gives them riot and can't be countered ??
Skrubzgaming why are you using elves? Sure there are mana dorks but if you use any turn 2 green ramp you still get radha turn three. Elves need to tap for mana (generally) and are counterproductive to radha’s gameplan of swinging. Goblins however align perfectly, the higher token and more aggressive focus working with radha as they’re attacking anyways.
I've been trying to make a great 60 card for her and honeslty this video just made so much of my hard decisions alot easier than you greatly for your work and great videos !
@@TheCommandersQuarters I started trying to do a spirit tribal with him, but halfway through it morphed into group siphon with flickers and im interested what you would do with it
Thoughts on whether this would be a good 1v1 match for the Zada deck? I'm trying to find something that'd be roughly 50/50 win/loss against that zada deck. If any suggestions on what would be?
As a side note I imagine that having groupings of 4 decks that are all pretty balanced when played as a pod would be pretty great. The idea of being able to make a battle box for $100 is pretty great, and not having one or two decks consistently blow out the others would be even better
just saying, I had created 435 tokens with tilonalli's summoner and a jayas immolating inferno in hand. then someone board wiped guess that's commander
Just a heads up, apologies for any late responses this week/weekend. I am out of the country on vacation and have limited access to wifi. Hope you enjoy the deck techs!

I realize it's quite randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Darwin Idris Flixportal :D
@Brantley Bryan thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it !
@Darwin Idris No problem :)
"It wants us to cast creatures swing with them and then cast even more creatures"
Woaw, it does't get anymore Gruul than that!
Just want to say that I have a ~$150 Radha deck and this video actually game me ideas for upgrades. Like. 10 cent upgrades lol. Good stuff
Glad you enjoyed it!
I run her myself, and a few of my favorite obscure cards are:
Rapacious One (5R 5/4 trample, makes Eldrazi Spawn for each damage it gets through)
Nacatl Warpride (3GGG 3/3, must be blocked, and by one creature, makes copies of itself on attack equal to defending player's creature count)
Thunderblade Charge (2R bolt that can be cast from grave for 3RR whenever you deal combat damage to a player)
Pyreheart Wolf (2R 1/1 undying, gives your board menace when it attacks)
Roar of Challenge (2G sorcery, Lure effect with Ferocious buff to give indestructible)
Majestic Myriarch (4G with p/t equal to 2x your creatures and gets all their keywords in combat - it gets stupid huge)
Tower of Calamities (4 mana artifact the has 8, tap: nuke creature for 12)
I clearly have been collecting a mi ute when I have all of the upgrades and the commander. Just gotta get the rest.
Btw, one of my high school students in my gaming club bought your wall deck. Keep doing what you are doing. You're getting more people into the greatest format ever.
Love how you guys explain the deckbuilding process using the blocks you call tactics, would love to see a video on the subject

Moonveil Dragon would be sick in this deck, but it's a touch expensive for a budget build at about $3
Indeed!
See, Radha plays go-wide stompy aggro ramp with burn as a backup plan and I think that's beautiful.
Radha is so buff...and so is this deck!

Tendershoot Dryad is an amazing inclusion to this deck, though it is in the 2-3 dollar range.

This. I love hydras
hydras are pretty expensive (1€-5€) for a 25€ deck

I never would have thought there were so many ways to make this commander broken. Hellkite Charger....holy damn
Brud... Wait i dont want that. I really want a $100 Yargle deck
You wand a bargle for yargle.
Yargle, Primal Hunger
@@busterampleforth9806 Primal Croak
Don't worry the OG is already asking ;)

Ty good to know. I know she was kinda cool in Dominaria but could not figure out. great commander for 0.46 cents lol.

I'm not really an aggro type of dude, but I really love how Elfball-ish this one is.
Yeah you could totally go elfball tribal with Radha. Honestly the most appealing elf tribal commander in my eyes and super powerful.
OR! Uril, the Miststalker voltron would be fun to see too!
Guttural Response can ensure you get your big bois onto the board.
Legion Loyalist might be considered as a reasonable upgrade, especially if your playgroup has a lot of token decks.
Red elemental blast is cheap and strictly better. Ditto for pyroblast.
Looks like a fun deck, I've been thinking on making a Gruul or Jund deck. Couple Jund Commanders I have been looking at are Shattergang Brothers and Thantis the Warweaver. Maybe you could make a budget deck out of either of them?
His Vaevictus Asmadi, the Dire deck tech is one of my favorites on the channel, and is Jund. Check it out if you haven’t yet!
Do Thantis I have it and I love it
I would love to see an elf tribal deck of some sort! Or angels! Love your videos!!
Another card that budget is rythems of the wild it would be very good for this deck allowing creatures always entering the battle field and can attack same turn or buff
Since there are so many creatures maybe a nakya of the old ways and ruric thar, plus end raze forerunners to finish off the game
With all that extra mana i would love to toss a good old fashioned Fireball!
A great consideration!
I'm running Banefire and Comet Storm in my Radha deck as upgraded Fireballs.
I think creatures with monstrosity could be a decent include.
Ahhhh, swarm build. My Radha deck does things like 50 damage Banefires with Twincast and spell copy. Nice budget build!
About the comment about Slivers on the last video, the price is way too high to make anything (but if you can do it that means you are a god at deckbuilding)
I think rb slivers can be built pretty cheap.
yeah ive been waiting for this!
Well I'll be damned, I was just recently thinking of building a budget Radha deck.
Really dig your content dude keep it up
Have you tried working with Card Kingdom? You make the decks, and they sell them. Like their battle decks.
Rosheen the Meander deck tech dang I should do patron so I can suggest that lol
Hello and thank you sir. I like to build decks and check them against list s online to see different points of view. Q n A coming soon?

Mona and denn is my personal grull commander and I Would love to see you bring them in the show
Yay a new deck tech, just as I was thinking about a green red deck
Please do a video on the new Radha from M21 ! 🙏🏼
This deck is screaming for Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremor
End-Raze forerunners and rhythm of the wild look like good inclusions here
Rhythym of the Wild is good in any deck with red and green
GRUHL COMMANDER SPOTTED! We've got one!
Finally a Gruul Commander! Now just need Boros and Azorius and my Commander's Quarters Ravnica Battlebox is complete!
This deck is amazing!
Is it possible for you to do a $25 grimlock dinobot leader deck
Do think that Muraganda Petroglyphs would work in this deck? There are plenty of tokens in this deck that would benefit from it
Have you considered Gaea’s Cradle in this deck
Skrubzgaming why are you using elves? Sure there are mana dorks but if you use any turn 2 green ramp you still get radha turn three. Elves need to tap for mana (generally) and are counterproductive to radha’s gameplan of swinging. Legend has it...Siege Gang Commander actually does 2 damage lol
Would be cool to see a Phenax, God of Deception deck
Can we talk about how many chump blockers in this deck to we ain’t taking no creature damage (except for maybe some flyers)
Great work
The good old times when Guardian Project was only $0.50.
Can you please do a zur the enchanter?! love the vids
Would u consider doing a kolthos god of destiny one
Could you do a Rona Disciple of gix deck?
Hellkite Charger and Savage Ventmaw ends games with any of the Radhas :3
Could you do a deck for Ulasht the Hate Seed?
That's a weird way to spell Nikya, of the Old Ways...
jk, great content!
Great job keep it up
Love this commander and I'd love to see a break the bank on this
this might help me with my Samut deck.
How come Burn at the Stake is not added into this deck?
So Savage Ventmaw and Hellkite Charger basically give you infinite combat steps when paired with Radha >:)
Until you eat a settle the wreckage...
Very cool
Can you do a tech for Taigam, Ojutai Master at some point?
What about FRESH MEAT as a Recovery plan? that card is absurd with huge amounts of tokens!!
Sidsi, Brood Tyrant please! Snakes snakes snakes!
Dunno dude. it might end up very similar to the muldrotha one.
but Hapatra is so much coooler.
Isn’t Sidsi really a naga who creates zombies?
What about Wild Pair?
