They did remake Super Mario 64 for the DS. The graphics are significantly less blocky and more detailed than the original.
So somewhere between the N64 and GC. It looks better than the Dreamcast model

This was my first ever Sonic game. I was a kid and my first reaction was "I don't like it, this isn't Mario". Then I reached the first boss and from then I was hooked. "You can bounce on a dinosaur like a trampoline!"
They are great… until you reach Ghost Whale and Ghost Condor
Is it just me, or were the bosses in this game more creative than usual?
Yeah, this game had some really good bosses in it. You can tell dimps put their best into this one so its a shame they got restricted to dumbed down handheld ports afterwards.

Beautiful Sprite Work in the Advance Trilogy and Battle, they pratically invented the Boost formula, the made Amy FINALLY playable in 2D games, had interesting tag team mechanics in Advance 3, created the midair trick action, Sonic Colors DS had more characters, Sonic Battle having one of the best stories in a Sonic game.

I never knew you could do that, though the Ghost Condor to me was the second easiest (behind Ghost Rex) so it wasn't necessary. Ghost Titan & Captain Whisker/Johnny on the other hand...
I loved how this game had you deliver a finishing blow to a boss instead of the boss fight just ending when its health hit zero, and if you failed to do so, it would get back up and regain some of its health.
This game needs a remake in Full Hd or UHD

When I first played this game, I got to the final boss. My 3DS had broken shoulder buttons, so I couldn't switch to Blaze.

I really loved the boss variety of this game, each were unique to the level they debut in and required the player to use different tactics to prevail.

I mean they have a similar themed naming to all of Eggman's stuff; it's just "Ghost [thing]" instead of "Egg [thing]"
I really like the fact that bosses take so many hits in this game. Any other sonic game would just make each cycle count for one hit, and have the boss go down in like 4. But the way this game does bosses makes them feel way more eventful. Kinda like Beat Em Up bosses.

It was my first sonic game and I played when I was 5
Took me 4-5 years to beat because I would get lost in levels and not fully understand Sonics controls because I suck at fast paced games and I kept using the waterbike over and over because I thought it was cooler than the others so I didn’t get far
But being bad at it is what made me love it so much, I was super into trying to get better and search for more islands
I never got into any other sonic game than this one

I just remembered this game randomly and searched it up. I used to play this when i was a kid over a decade ago. Seeing some of these bosses surprised me as i remembered them so quickly. I remember that whale boss so well i have always wondered where i knew it from but it was from here!
Confession: when I played this long ago, I turned on the brightness on my DSi whenever the Ghost Kraken used its ink attack, which rendered the attack pointless and allowed me to see clearly.

Man, this game was a blast. Arguably my favourite 2D title in the series, and for a damn good reason.
The great soundtrack, some outstanding new characters (Whisker just made me chuckle nearly every time he was on screen, but Marine & Johnny weren't too bad as well), an actually decent and challenging level design (except Sky Babylon, that zone was a nightmare) and this game showed what a 2D Sonic game on the DS can do.
Now all we need is the return of Marine and/or Whisker in a future Sonic game

not exactly but this game is faaar more enjoyable than the current Sonic games post generations in both gameplay, characters and story. I miss the DS Sonic games and I miss the Sonic Rush series. There needs to be a sequel and it needs to be good and worth playing

My boi Gemerl from Sonic Advance 3 hasn't been seen since, despite the Archie and IDW comics showing him a lot of love, respect and relevance.
The only boss here that actually makes sense being called Ghost-anything is the pirate one. It's the boss of the *Haunted Ship* stage and is actually modeled after a skeleton pirate. All the others barely even look ghost-like, if at all.

Ahh, this game brings back memories... It may not have been a groundbreaking fan-favorite, but I remember having a lot of fun with this game. I wish they’d bring characters like Marine and Johnny back into the limelight.

That pirate duo is totally a reference to Mario and Luigi. Never noticed as a kid. Also the whale boss fight had a bit of platforming which was identical to the final part of bowsers castle (dodging the fireballs by crouching in the holes in the floor).

Even if you didn't like the bosses, you can't deny that the theme song was hardcore.
I think this is way better than sonic rush 1. The bosses are more unique (not saying the bosses in the 1st one wasnt unique), the levels aren't just bottomless pits, the music is way better (not saying the music wasn't good in the 1st game), and I just think the story is better (all tho sonic rush 1 had a good story). This game was the 1st and best sonic game I've played

@@StarForce99 I mean it in the sense that like Wind Waker, Rush Adventure added a bunch of unneeded boat segments simply for the sake of making the game longer. Both Wind Waker and Rush Adventure would be extremely short without said boat segements.

Well yeah I used to do that a bunch of times. Trust me it took me a long time to realize that they were all ghost named bosses and it took me this long to realize that someone said that one of them matched perfectly cuz it was a ghost pirate and it was on a haunted ship.

Logic of Dimps' Sonic games:
- 7 Zones
- The Zone 7 boss has its own theme
- The Final Boss has its own level
- A somehow better worked story than Sonic Team's stories
- An Extra Zone with a weird name

I got this game when it first came out. I was in my Junior year of high school. I'd always play it during my study hall until I inevitably beat it but man. This game was fun as heck and is my favorite out of the Rush series. So sad there was never a third game.
I was 5 or 6 y.o. when i got my first Nintendo DS and i was never capable to complete the game because i didnt knew english at that time (im brazillian) so i didn't knew how to progress
