- Knuckles' Chaotix (32X) All Bosses (No Damage). It is a 1995 platform game by Sega for the 32X. A spinoff from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, it features Knuckles the Echidna and four other characters known as the Chaotix, who must prevent Doctor Robotnik and Metal Sonic from obtaining six magic rings and conquering a mysterious island.

I am honestly curious about what your take on this game is. Did you enjoy it? Or was it something honestly frustrating?
I ask because I used to own this game I thought besides the main rubber band physics being confusing in certain situations, this was pretty decent game for a spinoff game. When I look online, this game bashed plenty as a whole. Hell, they even give you a tutorial in the beginning and people still truly believe the game is unplayable. So what do you think?

Honestly hands down Knux Chaotix, Sonic CD, and Sonic Mania have my absolute favorite art direction of the whole series. It's all so colorful, surreal, and fun.
Plus the cutscenes in this are almost downright artistic, gives me big 90s anime OVA vibes.

Yes but I believe the Phase 3 Metal Sonic (or the one that references this game) was added in a later version of Sonic Mania. (Possibly Sonic Mania Plus)

Contrary to popular belief, Metal Sonic Kai is a name given to Metal Sonic's new body in this game, and not the giant Metal Sonic robot (aka World Entrance Phase 2, or Titan Metal Sonic (as he's called in Archie Comics) you fought at the end.

I love how the games graphics looks like when the characters or bosses get close up it's awesome they did an awesome job
The game would be harder without the slingshot buddy system. In the story the ancient rings are fused with emerald energy giving two players the equivilent speed of a super. Some of the bosses would be harder to fight without the buddy system

I like how this game has cinematics before the boss. They make great use of scaling on the Super 32X. The whole game make great use of the addon!
The colours are great! Each boss has their own music despite all of them (except Metal Sonic Kai) being just Eggman in a mech powered by a Chaos Ring...

The rings inside Eggman’s mechs are actually artificial Dark Rings created by him.

The first boss is my favorite for the following reasons:
1. The background looks like the marble garden zone? I believe from sonic 3

I don’t think this game gets enough credit. And it can be pretty fun to play with the physics once you get it down. I think I like pulling back and releasing to build up speed more than spin dashing.
It doesn't because it's a cancelled Saturn game, which was downgraded as a last minute effort to get titles for the 32X. As a result it doesn't have the same quality level as the other games.

One of those games where you may wonder, where did the premise even come from. I played the whole game thinking I could unlock Sonic and Tails by completing it. Also, never played Sonic 3/Knuckles. When I played this, I thought Knux was female.

When metal sonic looks more knuckles than knuckles
I like how the Stage Select Metal Sonic tricks you by swapping the "kill button" when there are only two buttons left. Normally you have to land on the "X" button, but when there's only two buttons left, you need to land on the leftover number button.
The final boss in this game was awesome looking but the fight was way too easy

I want to like Knuckles' Chaotix but it's so boring to play. All you do is slingshot through the stages. There's barely any enemies to fight or rings to collect. It doesn't FEEL like the Sonic game we should have gotten on the 32X. I do like the graphics and soundtrack, but the gameplay sucks. You can only polish a turd so much.
