The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.

This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

I'm certainly going to miss my Sunday night interesting history lessons. I heard another You Tuber say the other day in one his videos kinda of along the same lines as yours that having a channel is a 7 day a week job. I believe this completely. Dang Ron that ending had to be one of the creepiest I have ever seen. Looking at the eye in the end and seeing his picture pop up then morph into a scull was amazing. Where did you come up with that idea? You are in the wrong business, you should be doing horror movies. I loved it, take care my friend you are the best.

I am born and raised in Cincinnati, and been in and out of Spring Grove many times. It is an absolutely beautiful cemetery. But I have never heard his story. Thank you for sharing, next time I'm in that area again, which is fairly often, I will look him up.

@@Tededison I lived in Norwood and Anderson Township, but my teen years where in Clermont County, including Amelia. I watched a video recently of the top 10 haunted places in Ohio, 1 was 125 at the bend towards Bethel, and the other was in Blue Ash. I lived in Reading and Blue Ash, and never heard either of these.

You have an amazing channel! The man has been dead for nearly 116 years now, and the artist who created the glass eyes was certainly incredibly talented. I've never seen anything like it. Have a great vacation!

I will never get why no story was ever done on: New Milford Cemetary,- The Graves that were dug up, on north side of New Milford School Road,- - the new subdivision that went up,- and caskets being dug up,- and yet it's only 3-5 miles south of Rockford, Illinois !... Bet ya there are Skeletal remains in the ditches just north of that cemetary in New Milford,- AND I know that cemetary was bigger,- and I wish I knew more about Coffins being dug up, on the north side of New Milford School Road there !- I bet I could dig in the trenches, of that New Milford School Road,- and find: Skeletal Remains !...- ND I'm betting the people that built them houses to the north of that cemetary,- on the other side of New Milford School Road,- were maybe paid to keep thier mouths shut,- there is a story there !...... I grew up there,- AND MANY older people that have lived there, and still there,- know about it !...- My Parents and Friends are burried there, in New Milford Cemetary,- But when they Built that new ... Subdivision,- They were digging up caskets !...- It made news,- Then all hush, hush !... - (?)... That's a Cemetary that was moved to the south a ways, cuz of that Road !...- Maybe not All,- but some of it,- and it bugs old timers , that's lived there, for years. A story that needs to be Disected!. I mean no harm,- But has bugged alot of people over the years,- in NEW MILFORD !..., ILLINOIS .

If you're still planning to go to the UK for your vacation Ron, might this Brit and ex- Londoner offer some suggestions ?
London : after visiting Westminster abbey take the Thames river cruise boat from near Big Ben.You can go along the Thames east to the Tower of London, Tower bridge, ending at Greenwich.
Another day take the river trip west to Kew Botanical gardens and then Hampton Court palace.
It's an easy and leisurely way to see the sights.
Outside of London : The eastern counties of Suffolk and Norfolk have lots of medieval villages with thatched roof cottages, very old churches ( some from Saxon times ) and graveyards.
Lavenham, Melford, Cley-next-to-the-sea, etc. etc.
Travelling further north along the eastern side ; Lincoln Cathedral; Robins Hood Bay; Lindis Farne island; and of course Scotland's Edinburgh.
PS. For lunches the UK's many old historical pubs do great and economical pub lunches.

I lived in Cincinnati back in the late 70's. One weekend afternoon, a friend and I walked about Spring Grove. I remember seeing that grave site and the eyes. I, of course, did not know the story behind it at the time. I visited a couple of more times while I lived there. It is a most fascinating place. Excellent video.

Great story, Ron. People were really strange way back when and those eyes looked so real and creepy. I dont think i would want to go by his grave because i would think the eyes would be following me. At least you brought one more forgotten face back that will definitely be remembered. ❤❤❤ You never disappoint. Cincy native here. This is the cemetery where they filmed the funera/graveyard scene in the movie 'Rainman'

Wow, I loved those eyes in the headstone! It creates a kind of liveliness. The story is kind of sad though, concerning his mental illness which, I think, did not start from after his wedding to his last wife. My opinion. Take care and have a great day! 🙂

My God that poor child and there's people to this day that has not heard of this, my little friend Emit needs to be remembered, God bless him, and kudos to his mother who stood up against all the evilness her family went thru, God rest the family of Emmit Till
