It's so cool how everytime I watch an Aku no Hana video, everyone has something new or unique to say. It's such an emotionally intense experience that it's different for everyone. In my case the ending made me cry like a baby, specifically that page when the 3 of them are in the water, laughing together. I can't look at it without my eyes becoming teary lol. I guess it's because it's the exact moment when you realize that all of them had moved on and bear no resentment towards each other
I actually started reading Oshimi with Happiness, the cover of volume 1 drew me in and it became a great read. I liked the ending but even more than that I began to adore his artstyle. Just finished Inside Mari and I loved it, it was very different and felt more personal and intense. After Alice I plan to go on to Aku no Hana and some of his smaller/lesser known works. Heard a lot about Blood on the Tracks so I'll postpone that one - I don't feel like I'm in the right state of mind for it. But I'll be eventually. After all, I fear I've become quite the Oshimi fan boy.
@@NattyMattyD I think it was a proper ending. Sure, could be something happier for the main character but it was a realistic way for him to cut that cycle of violence, pain and madness and to live the rest of his life at least in peace and mentally stable. And i agree, what a masterpiece.
I've read many oshimi manga like chi no wadachi, aku no hana, started happiness, waltz, swee poolside, okaeri alice and inside mari and he's definitely one of my favourite mangaka of all time like all his works are similar yet different💀 I call them oshimi shenanigans
Can you please read drifting net cafe by shuzo oshimi, a lot of people hate this manga but i actually believe its really really good and i want to know what you think of it
Yep, but i wouldn´t say is just an horror manga since it´s realistic to the extreme, i´m sure he read a lot about psychology, psychiatry and criminal cases before and when he was making it. Also teaches a lot about understanding and forgiving others and specially itself. Special mention for Ichiro, the dad of the protagonist, what a man, he tried his best until the end, a lot of men like him in real life.
i personally started with welcome back alive went to inside mari to flowers of evil then happiness and i think all of them are in my top 10 manga of all time
The last chapter of flowers of evil was literally one of the best and most compelling endings i have ever seen to a manga
I felt the same way about the last 2 chapters of drifting net cafe, from the same author.
True

looks interesting if i really enjoy it ill be sure to make a video on it thanks for the recomendation
I can see why some people hate it but i think it s one of his best works, definitely the best ending he's ever done
Chi no Wadachi was so psychologically affecting to me that I would tell anyone who would listen, don’t read it. Oshimi is too good at horror
It really messed me up the most compared to his other works his style of creating horror is just so unique and harrowing
