As someone who moved around almost every year since 2017, the first home that my boyfriend-now-husband & I shared together we stayed in for 2 years. I grew SO emotionally attached to that house! I'll look at old photos of the meals we cooked, gatherings we've hosted, and all the vegetables, herbs, and flowers we planted in our garden, our DIY home improvement projects, and our cat's favorite hiding spots sprinkled throughout the house. So excited for you, Jake, and future baby Jang to grow & make new, lasting memories in your new home!! 🥺♡

I just moved as well! Away from a neighbour who woke me up by throwing up at 5.20 every morning exactly 🤮 And it is SOO exhausting to move! It really tires you out. Especially packing things down, and then unpacking it all again haha. But it's so nice once you have all the things at your new place finally. Hope you become happy in your new place.

Has that apartment odor completely vanished by now?🤞🤞🤞If not, my best advice is adding a a few herbs & flowers in pots/vases with scents that you love to the rooms that is not only lovely to look at but help improve the rooms odor a little or everytime you feel like the apartment smell gets too much, you can just walk up to the plant/flower & smell it🌱🌷 I personally love rosemary for my kitchen & lavender in my bedroom 🤍 Other than that it seems like you chose a lovely new home & thanx 4 sharing your interior shopping journey for this. It's sooo fun to watch 💚 Jake trying out the "grandpa chairs" 😅 I believe they are every (middle aged) man's dream - he just started a little sooner 😋🥰
That’s a really good idea !! The smell in the common area completely disappeared, now there’s only a humid kinda smell left in the guest bathroom so I’ll try to clean those drains again as well and see how it goes! 💚 And that’s soooo funny hahahah, I’ll pass this on to Jake 🤣💚

If you don't frame your pictures, laminate them, they last longer and won't tear or stick to the glass. Always fold your sweaters, hanging them stretches them out.

I'm the exact same as you with apartments and cleanliness and cleaning other people's germs 😅one of my top priorities when apartment hunting is the building being new and preferably me being the first tenant haha
We wiped everything. Walls, cabinets, seals around the stove, ceiling! I completely understand. We have lived in our home going on 3 years and if we leave for longer than 2 weeks the old smell comes back.

We wiped everything. Walls, cabinets, seals around the stove, ceiling! I completely understand. We have lived in our home going on 3 years and if we leave for longer than 2 weeks the old smell comes back.
