I live in a hard water area, so lots of calcium. I wonder if that will shorten the life of the cartridge significantly because it's getting blocked up so much quicker? It could get pretty expensive.
So I been researching a lot lately for an entire house filter and learned there’s a difference in water softener and water conditioner. If you have hard water I recommend doing water test to be certain that’s the issue. Then you should invest in water softener ( most are salt tank ). Some people have combination of softener then conditioner. Good luck!
