Amazingly comprehensive. Advanced stuff in here, maybe too advanced for many people, but as long as folk are fastidious in exactly following the instructions, it's probably fine! For me it's perfectly pitched.
"CPU core and Cache must have the same undervolt" WRONG! In fact, using less cache undervolt will allow for a much larger core undervolt, which is far more beneficial for boosting behaviour and temps. Cache undervolt will quickly lead to errors and less performance before crashing negating benefits. Stick to half or less of the core undervolt for cache.
If you can't press the "Unlock Adjustable Voltage" button, perhaps "Memory Integrity" is on within Windows Security(it stops application reading CPU temp.). Settings -> Windows Security -> Device security -> Core isolation -> Memory Isolation -> Turn off. If this doesn't do anything, reverting is just as simple.
I have a 2022 ASUS G5 that kept freezing and was sent away to be "tested" from a big box store we all know. They said.. "ohh it's motherboard" and not worth repairing wellll thanks to u and some thermopaste its perfect!
Hi, when I start Cinebench2024 the cpu(Acer Nitro 17 i7: 13700HX, RTX 4060) immediately throttling, the fans are set up to max and the temperature hits 100C. The test runs for 10 minutes and the cpu clock speed drops to 3GHz(the cpu max frequency is 5GHz). The cpu score in cpu-monkey is 1371, but mine has 938. Also Intel XTU shows power limit throttling, the cpu is idle, and power limit and current/edp throttling at the same time while gaming. For example in Days Gone the fps are capped to 120(1440p) and the graphic setting are almost the highest, the cpu and gpu temps are about 75C, but the cpu frequency and frames drops(3GHz and ~90fps) from time to time(every 30-60 min) for 2-3min. Do you think these problems can be fixed with replacing the motherboard, the laptop is under warranty. I bought it two mounts ago and it is cooled with liquid metal thermal paste. Thanks!
This video is for Windows laptops but here are some solutions you can apply, steps 1 and 8 for a MacBook Pro. How to fix overheating MacBook Pro: 1) Clean the cooling system: Use compressed air to blow out any dust and debris from the cooling system of your MacBook Pro. You can also use a soft-bristled brush to remove any stubborn dust particles. 2) Replace the thermal paste: If you have noticed that your MacBook Pro is still overheating after cleaning the cooling system, it may be time to replace the thermal paste. 3) Close unnecessary applications: Running too many applications simultaneously can cause your MacBook Pro to overheat. Close any unnecessary applications to reduce the workload. 4) Use the activity monitor to identify any applications or processes that are using excessive resources. You can then close or quit these applications to reduce the workload.
is it normal that my laptop CPU aggressively dried my thermal paste within a few days after re pasting? i've used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut for my Intel Core i3 1st Gen CPU Laptop, i've clean the fan, repaste the CPU and set everything like the video said (but i still haven't undervolt my CPU and i don't need to do the same thing to my Intel Graphic Card, i guess) and as a result, i got 38-45 C when idling and watching video and maybe about 50-80 C when playing not so heavy games. is there any solution please ?
My asus vivbook 15 go very well with videogame. but when i play while the cargher is plugged in the cpu goes to 99° and i don't know why. when is plugged in without gaming is to 75°. while gaming with no cargher to 80°. no gaming with no cargher 70°. I don't know why i have no cooler pad maybe help me
help please? when i entered UEFI/BIOS to check my cpu temp, it started at 40°c and raised to 73°c within 5-7 minutes (i was not gaming or previously gaming) i also noticed my cpu fan speed would not exceed 774rpm… does this mean my fan is faulty and i need replacement? please help thank you so much!! (i have a 2019 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 GA502DU) problem literally occurred overnight… not sure what happened but besides the overheating and low fan speed, the laptop still runs beautifully, no lag or slow loading speeds at all? i never once had a problem with it until now
i5-8250U shows error at -110 mV on my dell-xps 13 9370. Remember to hit stop as soon as error appears or you will have to force reboot. Currently i set to -100 mV. Increase in stable core clocks by 300 MHz with R23 scores improved by 500 points. Temperature change is minimal 0-3 deg. C. I haven't changed thermal paste/cleaned the radiator in my five year old laptop yet.
update the bios definitely solve my Problem of over heating On my MSI GL 66 Puls 12 th gen , it cost -20 % of the cpu performance but better then getting the laptop burnd for good , thanks man !
I seriously think I got a HP laptop lemon. A little more then 2 years old and the CPU/GPU is running hot even when idle. Had it checked several times and everything is as it should be. Essentially HP ran out the clock on the warranty on purpose and now I have a brick I can't rely on.
Bro Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation will casually take up 15%-20% of the CPU by itself. I don't know how many people have it taking up the same. Great video though, thanks.
Remove windows microupdate code, disable secure boot and core virtualization. Then run GRUB from an USB disk and overwrite overclocking lock bit to 0x0 (should be at 0x10e for 13th gen, check your bios) and you are good to go. Probably invalidates your warranty and makes system vulnerable to plundervolt tho. And changing the wrong thing in BIOS can brickc your laptop. So cooling pad and power limit for you it is.
Here is the solutution. I have the same issue and nothing helps. I tried each and every solution but everytime I gets failed. I realise the solution for the problem and its working 100% fine. If your fan is ok then the issue is heat sink from CPU to Fan. In simple words the thermal paste is already dry and its not working as it suppose to do. Just buy good thermal paste. Remove the old one and apply new one. 1Gram is more than enough for a laptop. It 100% solves my issue. Thanks me later
To give you advice, I need to know your CPU model. Anyway, you can try next: go into BIOS and reset to factory settings - this can unlock the CPU Core and CPU Cache in Turbo FIVR Control
@@goldfish279 Go into the BIOS and do the SHIFT + CTRL + ALT + F2 trick to unlock advanced options such as overclocking and then enable XTU. Then Throttlestop will work!
